Casual and dressy, I could wear to my kids events and out for dinner or to work. Slight sheen to the crepe material. Lined in the skirt. The pockets (silky inside) and the tie (a bit flimsy) dresses it down a bit. The top has a feathered raw piping, which is a nice detail I hadn't noticed. It's probably best on someone with a long torso and although I could easily slip it on, it is definitely a narrow dress. I did have to wear fashion tape to keep from slipping. Dips low in the back but I could still wear a normal dress. The reason I gave it a 5 is because of the amazing way it moves when you walk. The side and front slits are just beautiful! It's definitely the kind of dress you could wear almost every day.

Honestly, anyone would love this dress. I never wanted to take it off, it was extra flattering, comfy, those pockets! Love!

Sporty chic! Helmut Lang does it right. This dress runs true to size with room in the bust and hips. I tried on both the XSR and SR and both fit well (SR is pictured). The difference was that the XSR fit my bust better and was a bit tighter where the elastic waist hits. As backup, I'd recommend sizing up especially if you're curvier. Length on me was similar to the model. Really easy and effortless look. Pair it with heeled boots or sandals and minimal jewelry.

This is the only dress I have rented not twice but three times! Comfortable length and style but still very pretty. Wore for inevitable pics with my little bub for first day of school. My only issue is it seemed fairly worn out with quite a few pills this time. I find that if I don't rent the new stuff it often times looks quite used.

From the one stylist review, I went down a size to an xs ( although the dress tag said p) I probably would prefer a s- but I'll hang on to this dress for a couple weeks because it is just right for wearing just about anywhere. You can't tell from the photos, but the skirt of this dress has a split in the middle front and two slits in the back sides, making it easy to walk in a a bit sporty looking. It is lined too, so no need to worry about a slip. A regular bar works, the pockets are great and the fabric is slightly heavy.

This dress appeared to be made for tall and narrow individuals. However, I was able to pull it off by wearing the skirt at my waste and allowing the top portion to sit folded over (see pic). I also had to pin the shoulder straps to my bra because the length of the dress is a tad too long for shorter people and they kept slipping off-this worked like a charm. I felt very comfortable in this dress all night long and received compliments from several strangers throughout the evening. I paired this with some comfy shoes because we were walking around Las Vegas, but this could easily be dressed up with heels, etc. My favorite part of the dress is the skirt-it has slits on each side that are just high enough to feel comfortable but add a unique element at the same time. I was somewhat worried about this dress when I first tried it on, but I ended up really liking it enough to rent again in the future (even with the length issue).

I wore this dress to work and based on other reviews sized up. I didn't really need to (a Med would have fit fine) but it was still comfortable. The downside is that deodorant stains really showed up no matter how hard I tried to get them off. Didn't keep people from commenting on how nice I looked though! Dressier than the picture leads you to believe.

I rented this with my unlimited membership and almost kept it a month, rewearing as often as possible. Could be dressed up, but I wore with a hat and sandals.

I love love LOVE this dress! It is very flattering, and the slits on the sides/front add some fun texture and flowy-ness to this fairly simple dress. The tie waist is also a nice added feature to give a more form-fitting look. The texture of the dress is unique and adds some formality (has a bit of a silky sheen to it). This dress can easily be worn to work, out, more formal event, etc. depending on how you accessorize. I wish I could own this dress and I look forward to renting again!

This dress is comfortable, stylish, and great for everyday. I wore with black Birkenstocks. It was so practical, I even rented it twice! The second time I rented, the dress looked a bit ragged (one of the caps on the cord was missing), but I still wore it to a casual birthday lunch. Something I'd like to have in my wardrobe for every day!

Such a comfy dress. Dressed it up with tall wedges one day and down with flip flops. Haven't sent it back with my unlimited yet because I want to wear it again!

Great simple dress. I think it runs a little small in the waist. I paired it with a denim blouse and felt good in it. Not sure if I would rent again but I definitely have no regrets either.

I ordered this for traveling to and from Cabo and felt cute, comfortable and stylish. As others mention, it does wrinkle but not a crazy amount. I have a short torso and VERY pear shaped. I should have ordered the Large. The Medium fit great on my typically-sized "8" top but was a bit tight on hips and butt. I wore with NuBra just in case and used Hollywood tape on straps so they didn't fall of the shoulder as some reported. I think this is more flattering on a smaller chested person. Would definitely rent again just in a Large.

Easy to wear and seems forgiving for most body types. I didn't wear it because it arrived with a cold front, but I loved it.

This dress is more beautiful in person. I wore it with flats to make it a bit more casual for the office. Very pretty fit. Top was a little loose on me and I am a B cup. The lining is slightly tighter than the dress itself but it wasn't too tight.

Love this dress. It is flattering and comfortable. The back is a nice scoop, not too low but shows a little skin. Rent it to look put together but not overdressed!

Top was a little big but I took a chance with a large after reading reviews. The pockets are nicely made and I liked the slits in the skirt.

A solid everyday option, but this dress was missing some of the movement I enjoy in other Helmut Lang pieces. On the plus side it can be dressed up or down, but because of the drawstring waist I found that it lent itself much easier to casual occasions. Overall there's less of a wow factor--something to consider for a one-time rental, but I did get several wears out of it on my Unlimited subscription.

I loved the fabric and detailing on this dress, which is a bit fancier than the pictures show. Unfortunately the hips are cut best for an average or slim hipped figure, and was just a hint too tight on me. Bummer because this is a beautiful and versatile dress for summer.

Great versatile dress! I thought it was going to be jersey fabric from the photos but it is a much nicer material! I wore it during the day as casual with a denim jacket and could dress it up with a Kate Spade necklace (also RTR) and heels at night. I gave it four stars because it does wrinkle in the seat after sitting and the straps kept slipping down and I have an extremely long torso. Go ahead and rent it!!

I LOVE this dress. I rented it for vacation thinking it would be good to walk around in, and ended up loving that it can be dressed up or dressed down. The material is a rayon, not cotton, that makes it look nicer than I expected. The raw edges at the top make it interesting, and high side slits make it easy to walk around - and a bit sexier. The only issues were that the top is a bit loose (even though I a long waisted!) so the straps tended to slip, and the one I got had one of the metal brads on the string belt missing. I ended up buying this from another site so I can shorten the straps and have the brads on both ends of the string belt. Can't wait for summer so I can wear it regularly!

Really versatile Helmut Lang dress. I rented this for everyday and actually wore multiple times before returning. Didn't feel like the dress was a stand out, but I did receive multiple compliments from strangers! High quality, thick fabric. Very comfortable, front slit allows for easy movement and has pockets!!! I found the shoulder straps to be slightly loose so if I rented again, I would probably size down, but overall the fit was excellent. I wore this in warmer weather but it could easily pair with a jean jacket for cooler days/eves.

Very nice fabric, but with a casual cut. The underliner helps smooth things out and the slits up the sides and front are fun without being too revealing. As with other reviews, the top was a little long for my torso when the elastic belt was at my natural waist. This would be a better dress for people with longer torsos or narrow hips who want to wear the elastic at their lower waist/hips .

I love this piece but the top does run large and since it is one piece, the straps kept falling off my shoulders. I would probably rent and wear again with a denim jacket over to prevent that from happening again.

I love how cool this dress made me look. Wore it with a strappy bra since it has a large back reveal. As per usual, the straps were to loose / long so I hemmed them with tape & then it worked out fine.

I gave this 4 stars because on someone more straight and narrow and a bit shorter, this is probably a home run. On me, it's a 2-star dress. Because of my height and my hips being so much larger than my waist, the elastic band had to sit above my hips rather than on them. This made the top part bunch up and therefore the straps wouldn't stay on my shoulders. If you're the type of person who can wear elastic bands ON your hips, you'll love this! I was expecting this dress to be a stretchy jersey-like material, but it's more of a structured cotton/linen fabric. There is no stretch, and it wrinkles fairly easily, It has two huge slits on the sides to add a little "something". Overall, this is a great casual dress. Just not for my body type!

The material of this dress was not what I was expecting. The dress was also more structured than I thought it would be. It appears to be a stretchy cotton dress but the material is not stretchy and it is more fitted. It is a fun dress that I would only wear casually. I love the raw edge detail around the neckline.

I wore this dress for a casual day at work and then out to dinner with my husband. The fabric is a little thicker than I expected, but it was comfortable. Waistband felt a little tight wearing it all day, but overall was pretty comfortable. The back dips down a little bit which made it a little sexier. Also at 5'9 i found the straps to be a little long and they kept wanting to fall down a bit. I would still rent again!

I really liked the look of this dress, sporty and cool, not like most things you see out. You can't really tell from the the picture, but there are some cool slits on the front and sides of the skirt portion. I also loved the pockets. The only issue I had was with the fit of the top. The sleeves were constantly falling off my shoulders. It was annoying, but otherwise enjoyed the dress for a night out of drinks and dancing.

The fit issue probably me, not the dress.( I'm bigger on the bottom than the top and this fit problem happens. I might be able to wear a size smaller in this dress.) I would be tempted to buy this dress and have it altered because otherwise is had nice fabric and styling. It can be dressed up or worn casually. So I highly recommend it for the right shape and height. I wish I could have worn it!
