I loved this dress! It was very classy in the front and the back was super sexy. Fit was great and very flattering. The ONLY con was how quickly the fabric wrinkled. Other than that this dress was my favorite item I've rented.

Gorgeous, unique, classy, and drapes amazingly. When I pulled it out of the bag, I was nervous that the elastic portions and some exposed seams (which you can't see on the model) would make it a little too informal. But when I put it on, that definitely wasn't the case. No bra possible, which surprisingly wasn't a problem at all since the lining hugs closely. I wouldn't wear this to a club, like some other reviewers, because of the long length. But it definitely fits the bill as a perfect LBD for a cocktail event on the formal side. Now I want to buy it.

I had my eye on this for my 31st birthday and am so happy I rented it. Helmut Lang epitomizes clean design but the back is just to die for. I'm small on top so didn't have to wear a bra, which was also great. The best part was how comfortable it was and the endless compliments. It's the best way to try the cut out trend but still be modest/appropriate. Will 100% rent again when it's warm out.

The dress is so comfortable and the top was supportive enough to go braless. I would have liked a 4, the 6 felt like the hanging parts hung too much in the back, so the cut didn't really show from the front on the hip area. But I still liked it.

This dress is very comfortable. It is both classy and edgy. I pinned a small pleat at the front top to give a bit more of a defined waist and show off the hip cut-out. I will rent this one again! I maybe could have gone one size smaller but it was not available.

The dress was great! I was nervous about the fit based on reviews but ordered with little time before a Christmas party and the options were limited. This dress took some work to get on (no zippers) but once on, fit really beautifully. The way the fabric draped was lovely. I have very straight hips so I went with the size 0 so it fit better there but my boobs were pretty smashed down. Because of the fabric and the higher neck, it didn't really matter that they were smashed. I did wear a backless bra just to add a little shape to the smash but wouldn't have needed to besides that reasoning. I did do an easy hem to take the dress up about 3 inches. Without the hem, it hit right below my knee and if I was going to a more conservative event would have kept as is but because of how modest the front was, I felt better taking it up a little to show some leg. The pictures are really blurry and don't do it justice but the dress was really nice and the back stole the show. The hip cut out was far less dramatic on me than the model but as I moved around and moved my arms, the hip would peek out. Overall a really lovely dress and great first experience with RTR.

I wish I had a picture of the back, it was the most visually interesting part. The dress fit & was comfortable, but I think I'd have to have a body type more similar to the model to get the side cut-outs to drape as pictured. This was also probably the most confusing dress to put on that I've ever tried - the top part of the back has an elastic band, plus there's one holding up the bottom.

I didn't have time to take a picture because we were running late for our daughter's graduation but I can't say enough great things about this dress. The fit was perfect. I didn't need to wear a bra. The lines were beautiful, skirt length was perfect and the back made it really interesting. I would absolutely rent it again. Total winner.

This is one of my favorite dresses at RTR. I wore to a girl's night dinner with black pumps. The lenght is more appropriate for a dinner than a bar/club because it is a midi lenght. No bra was needed. The side cutout did not really show with me. Maybe if you have a longer waist. But I loved it this way.

This dress was so comfortable that I was able to wear it in NYC for a Bday party and at the beach in SXM. It also looked great!

This was sent to me as a replacement when the one I had originally ordered was returned damaged. The stylists were great and sent me a few dresses to choose from. On the hangers, this was my least favorite but it's a totally different dress once you get it on. Loved it!!!!

Loved everything about this dress - you can wear a regular bra with it, the fit is super flattering, and the cutouts are on one side and gives just the right touch of sexiness. Loved loved! will rent again!

I ordered the size 0 to wear and the bottom/skirt portion of the dress was huge on me. Granted, I am pretty thin with no hips, but usually a 0 factors that in. Not this dress. Otherwise, it was a very sexy, classy dress but designed for women with some hips.

There were a few areas on the back strap where it appeared that the dress had been a tad too small for the ladies who had worn the dress before me because there were small tears where I was afraid that the strap would break so I added a safety pin. I also believe that there should be better detail when describing the fabric of the dress. It is extremely temperamental and if it gets wet it will leave a mark on the fabric.

I had to use safety pins on the sides of the dress so that you can see the cut outs otherwise the dress would look like a black suit. The fabric wrinkles when you sit down. Halfway through the night my dressed looked like I never ironed it.

I was hoping for a sexy dress. When i tried it on it was too big that you couldn't even see the opening in the side. I don't know if I was too short? But the top piece was loose and covered the opening. So it just looked like a skirt suit on me. Not the look I was looking for. Might work best if you are tall.

Looked like a baggy, boxy suit skirt and shell to be worn with a blazer... not flattering on me. Couldn't even see the cut out on the hip. Just not the look I was going for and the fit was way off for my body (5'4", 135lbs, short torso).

I wore this dress for our annual girl's Christmas dinner. I wanted something sleek and sexy, but also slightly edgy and fun! This was the perfect dress. Showed just the right amount of skin, while being comfortable for dinner and drinks. What I love most is that I didn't have to wear a bra because the top had an extra layer. For a gal with a large chest, this was an amazing dress that minimized my chest and let me feel like a waif (if I only I could have worn this in the 90s!) The dress is a little tricky to get on, but once you do, it feels like a dream. I wish I got a full length picture of the dress that night but I was having too much fun in it to remember!

Amazing dress! I didn't want to return it. I wore the 0 which I'm usually a 4, so it runs large but that is also part of the style. I got tons of compliments for its classic look in the front and interesting cut in the back. Only negative is that it wrinkles easily - but well worth the ironing for such an awesome dress - I will definitely rent again!

Fabulous dress all around- beautiful back draping, sexy side cut-out, and very comfortable. I kept getting double-takes from people when they saw the dress from either side. FIT: This is an expertly tailored dress, with a couture-level design. I was afraid that it would be too long for my petite figure, but it fell just below the knees, which worked. The torso was a bit too long for the side cut-out to show, so I taped it up, and it looked perfect. It is very comfortable, as it has a sports bra-like support tab. The back draping falls right into place. Once it is on, it is a no-fuss dress that you can wear all night long. ACCESSORIES: I wore this dress twice: once with gold heels and a gold & blue beaded lariat necklace; the second time, with minimal jewelry and tomato red, satin stilettos. Both looks were beautiful with this dress! OCCASION: This was a perfect dinner dress for the two times I wore it. It would also work well for a cocktail event or semi-formal event. OVERALL: I really enjoyed wearing this dress- it is the epitome of elegance! It has such an unusual, expensive look and feel that gains understated attention.

I wanted to like it. It was such a cool style and would be very comfortable if it fit. It was just an odd shape and draped oddly over my body. Hard to put on.

I rented this for a party and ended up not wearing it because it just didn't have enough "wow" factor. The back is interesting, but the front is really boring and just looks like a plain black dress. I was hoping for something more stylish and interesting for this event, so it was just a bit of a flop.
