I normally wear a 6 or an 8 but after reading reviews I decided to order a 4 and 6. The only size they had left was the 4 so I took a chance and ordered it. It fit like a glove!!!! It was a tiny bit tight in the breast but I just went with a bra with no extra padding and it worked out perfect. Rent this dress!!! Pic do not do justice to this dress!!

The dress was very pretty. Tight on my bust but it didn't show. Very nice soft material! Great style too! Loved dancing in it!

This dress has stretch to it so has some give. I could sit, eat, and dance and feel comfortable. I'm an apple shape so the color blocking was flattering and gave me shape. I received lots of comments, I've already rented my next dress for Vegas!

Ran a bit large, which for me meant it was quite comfortable as I son't like things that fit tight. I felt great in this dress.

I rented the size 4 & 6. I am 5'7" 145 lbs, and am well endowed in the bust and bottom. I wore the size 6 because it gave me some room to move around. The size 4 fit great, hugged every curve, but I knew I would be moving around, sitting for about an hour during the night, and eating! So I wanted to be comfortable and still look good.

The dress isn't tight, but still has the look of a fitted sheath dress. It chokes you a bit when you sit down, but nothing that isn't worth the compliments that you'll get wearing this. The fabric is high-quality and the rental experience couldn't be beat. I would order your regular size, plus one down, just to be safe. In the picture, I was testing shoes...went with the black!

Great dress - I felt that it ran slightly big. Didn't fit in the waist the way I expected it to. Great pattern! The 2 sizes I got didn't even have the same pattern which made it seem really unique.

I rented this dress for a beach wedding, and it was perfect for the occasion. According to the size chart my first choice was size 12, with the 10 as a backup. Unfortunately, the 10 was not available, because it would have been the perfect fit for me. I wore the 12 anyway, even though it was somewhat too large overall. I would not recommend this dress for anyone with an hourglass shape (I'm not), as you'd end up with a lot of spare fabric around the waist (but it's perfect for hiding some rolls around the mid-section!). That said, the dress is incredibly comfortable and cute.

My husband had to attend a local wine tasting charity event for work and this dress was perfect! It's artsy and modern! It's also appropriate for work. It not to strappy and knee length on me. I loved it! This dress is super flattering and amazing! I loved it!

Fit: runs a bit large. I am usually a size 4, and I had ordered size 2 & 4, and I ended up wearing the size 2. I would recommend sizing down. It's not the most "WOW" dress I've rented on RTR, but it was perfect for my event, for which I couldn't wear something too sexy to, It's also very comfortable. Fabric is great quality. Got lots of compliments :)

This dress felt pretty true to size, though it was a tighter in the hips and bust and a bit looser in the waist. I originally wanted the other similar Helmut Lang dress since it was a bit edgier, but it wasn't available so I went with this one. It was a pretty dress, but not as much of a "wow" dress as I had hoped. Neither the length nor neckline was scandalous, so I thought it transitioned well from church wedding to reception and after party. It is comfortable to wear and easy to dance/move in.

I ordered this dress after my initial dress didn't fit. The RTR team was so helpful to get me a dress that I loved and overnighted it so I'd have it for the wedding. The dress was super flattering and fit wonderfully. It's even prettier in person!

I wore this for a super elite Hollywood private party and it was perfect! Not too showy or attention-grabbing, but unique enough that you're not blending in with all the other girls in black cocktail dresses. I loved the pattern in front and the material was silky and very expensive seeming.

I am usually a 6/8 but the 8 wasn't available so I went with the 10. It was knee length which was fine since I was going to a family wedding. The dress is very chic and great for any event/party that requires a less sassy option. The fabric makes the dress extra comfy and less difficult to wrinkle. Will definitely rent it again!

This dress is slimming and modern. The material is beautiful and it is fully lined. It fits true to size and I received many compliments on it! The only negative was it can wrinkle a bit when you have been sitting for a while.

Helmut Lang is definitely one of my go-to designers for dresses. Chic, beautiful, flattering. Most Helmut Lang dresses work in the office and out at night. The fit was great. It was just above my knees for a professional look.

I wore this to a business cocktail event. The dress fit perfectly. It is lined and heavier than expected. I ordered the 4 and the 6 because I'm between sizes. I probably could have gone with the 4 but it was a little snug in the hips and the 6 still looked form-fitting and flowy at the same time. I highly recommend this dress. I only regret not getting a photo!

This was my back up look, but I didn't end up wearing it. It's a beautiful dress, but didn't fit me as well as the other. The dress is quite fitted throughout, so if you're bigger in the hips, it is not very forgiving. The only thing I didn't like about this dress is the zipper is kind of big and clunky. This is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. Still, quite a pretty dress.

I rented this dress for a cocktail party. I wore a size 6, but could have definitely worn a 4 (unfortunately it was unavailable on the date I needed it). The 6 still looked great, though. This fabric is great... silky smooth, great quality, lightweight. The white detailing down the sides makes it very slimming and flattering. The print is abstract enough that it looks very cool. I got a lot of compliments on this dress. The only negative thing I can say about it is that the length was too long for my taste. At a little over 5'7" and wearing 4 inch heels, the hem was maybe an inch above my knees. Definitely not mid-thigh as shown in the photo. Also, this dress is a little conservative on its own, so I paired it with funky heels, fun jewelry, and a black moto jacket to youth it up a bit and give it a little more edginess. This is a dress I wish I owned... very versatile.

Pretty true to size. Snug fit but not too tight in the size 12. The fabric is heavier than it seems in the photo so if you are planning to do a lot of dancing or attending an event in warmer weather, this dress may get hot. My only complaint is more a commentary, than anything. The top was a little bit big in the back. I have a slight bust, so I think for a bustier woman this won't be an issue. This was a minor issue, easily concealed by a jacket. Going down a size was not feasible as the 10 was super tight. Overall this was a great dress! #weddingrehersaldinner #cocktailparty

I wore this dress to my office and then out to a work event. The white piping makes for a very slimming figure and it has a great fit.

It was a little roomy in the waist. Gorgeous dress. Didn't wrinkle at all. Can wear gold or silver with this. Can dress it up with a swanky wrap or make it more formal with a black tuxedo blazer for wearing on the way to keep warm.

Loved the look of the dress and the versatility- work with a jacket to happy hour but to tight across the back/bust for me so I did not wear. Sizing up to an 8 would likely fit on top but would be to wide waste and hips. Good dress for smaller chest / larger hips.

The size 4 fit me if I sucked in my tummy. Plus it flattened my boobs. I might have made it work if I really had to but thanks to RTR they recommended and made sure I had two great backups sent to me the next day. They were waiting for me at my NY hotel when I arrived! Thanks RTR! Great customer service! This dress looked kind of business-like and I think I was too short waisted for it. Maybe someone a little thinner (less hips) and taller could make this dress work.

I loved the way that the dress looked when I put it in but every time I walked, it twisted. It looked like I had it on sideways all night. I don't know if it was the undergarment slip that I wore and they fought each other, but it was a problem all night. I finally gave up and just wore it twisted. It was obvious but I grew tired of constantly trying to straighten it. I would definitely rent again and try some different options because it was beautiful and such a fun print. It felt amazing on and had I stood still all night, it would have been perfect! HA!

I had been eyeing this dress for awhile and decided to rent it for a friend's bachelorette party. Unfortunately, I didn't end up wearing it and luckily had another dress in my closet to wear instead. The dress is nice and high quality, but it didn't live up to expectations. I went for the 8 because it was recommended to size up, but it was a bit too big and ended up being shapeless (there was no 6 in stock for a backup size, either). The design in front isn't as vibrant as the picture makes it seem. Overall, I might have actually worn the dress if I had a smaller size, and I think if I hadn't had such high expectations I would have loved it more.

Sorry to say but I hated it for formal wear. Definitely more work attire. It's an ok dress, not flattering like on the model. It gave me no waistline but I think it's b/c it runs a bit big.

I rented this for a formal engagement party, but didn't end up wearing it because none of my sizes fit. I'm normally between a 2 and a 4, so I ordered both. The 4 was huge on me. The two fit a bit better, but still had so much extra fabric around the waist that it was very unflattering and I wasn't able to wear it. I wish I would have ordered a size down. I think this dress would be more flattering on women with a true hourglass shape. You need some serious curves to fill out all the extra fabric in the dress. Thankfully I had a dress at home that I was able to wear instead.

Rented this for a Hollywood Reporter awards after party. Perfect fit, great, flattering material. Can't go wrong with this dress.

It was too long in the torso. I didn't wear it. :-(
