I wore this dress to the Opera with friends and would recommend it to everyone for any occasion. The fit was perfect- true to size, fit like a glove, and had room to breath. It was edgy and classy all at the same time and I loved it (so did my friends!). I wish I took better photos to highlight the draping of the dress for this review, but trust me when I say this dress is worth 5 stars.

I've got an athletic build so most dresses with a lining get a little tighter for me around the thighs. Luckily, there's a lot of super flattering draping on the outer layer which hid any tight fitting issues of the lining.

This dress was perfect. It fit like a dream. Super comfortable. Will go well with heels of any height. And the color is neutral enough for accessories of any color

This dress was a perfect balance of dressy and casual for the wedding I attended at a historical venue in Nashville, TN. I was comfortable throughout the night, and it was great for dancing!

This was a really flattering dress and perfect to wear to my friend's birthday party. It was fancy enough, but not too fancy that I felt overdressed for the event.

The fit was perfect and extremely flattering for my straight athletic build. It was body conscious and had a cute slit in the thigh but did not appear overly tight or revealing which I appreciated for a work holiday party. Also, it was adaptable and transitioned perfectly to a friend's holiday gathering. It had the perfect - sophisticated but not trying to hard look.

I wore this dress to my photography showcase and to film my media kit. It was artsy and cocktail appropriate, but not too formal. I would probably err on sizing up because the under-slip is on the tight and short side. The dress was comfortable and easy to move in and had the benefit of being able to wear a normal bra underneath. My one complaint is that it photographed awkwardly from the front and on the left side, and made me look pregnant-ish. Didn't come off that way in person, but probably wouldn't choose it again for an event where I'm on stage again or being photographed from angles I can't control. Paired nicely with high heel booties!

I wore this dress to a cocktail event for work. I'm 20 weeks pregnant (5'8" and 128 lbs), so I was looking for the right silhouette for my growing belly. The draping on this Helmut Lang dress was PERFECT for the belly! I felt super comfortable all night. Some warning: the color is more gray than "navy," and the hem rides up seriously high when I sat down for dinner. Since I had a napkin over my lap, this wasn't an issue. I highly recommend for draping a belly during early pregnancy.

I liked this dress. It was comfortable, cute and different. I liked the shape and flow-i-ness of it. It showed a nice balance sexy and cute because it was on the shorter side but didn't show much skin on top.

The fit was true to size. The silhouette was flattering. I felt bad-ass and feminine at the same time :)

I rented two dresses, this one by Helmut Lang and another one by Versace. They were both lovely and true to size. I chose to wear the grey one because my girlfriends were wearing black and the other dress was cream with a large pattern which would have clashed. The dress I ended up wearing was very cool. I liked the asymmetrical cut and it was different than anything I could have found on my own. The size was true and was comfortable. The only complaint is that because of the cut, it isn't optimal for photographing, sort of shapeless at some angles. But I liked that it wasn't revealing in an obvious way; the sheer sleeve and skirt were the perfect amount of sexy. Very much my style! I will definitely use RTR again! My friends plan to check it out too!

This dress was perfect for my holiday party. It fit well and was very flattering. I am 5'3" 120lbs and I wore a size 2. I did have to pull the slip underneath down a few times because it would ride up sometimes (I have a big butt so that may have been the problem) I got a lot of complements on it. Highly recommended.

Runs slightly large, but worked great for a business dress event. Really loved the draping of the fabric and how easy it is to wear!

I wore this dress for a dinner party for my friend's birthday. I didn't rent a backup size which would have been nice to size down, as it kinda swallowed me a bit with all the drapes. I think this dress is better made for taller women-- I pinned it in a few places to better fit me as I'm only 5'2". Overall I was still able to wear it and it looked decent, however I wouldn't have wanted it for a more formal occasion.

I loved wearing this dress! The fit is so flattering and the dress is so comfortable. I loved the neckline and hemline. It was a great dress to accessorize! Highly recommend it for a spring or fall wedding.

First of all--out of the box, this dress appeared blue to me. It is a smoky blue-gray, but not as gray as it appears online. I felt like it was kind of a sack on me, but everyone else loved it and I eventually felt comfortable in it. It's definitely a different style than what I am used to wearing, and I'm glad I pushed my comfort zone. It's asymmetrical and draped and I wore really sexy heels with it to complete the look.

The color is the only thing I would change in this dress. I wish it came in a brighter shade of blue or even a navy. The grey blue while pretty is a bit drab. I wore this to a 1920s themed fundraiser. It worked great as the loose shift, crepe fabric and neckline were on point for that era. I ordered a 6 as back up as suggested but didn't even try it on as it was very true to fit.

The dress is simple but so elegant, sophisticated but not stuffy or old fashioned- very unusual. Tons of compliments all night, and the style looks good on athletic/ narrow body shape

As others stated the under part is a bit short but nothing too revealing. It is an interesting cut so if you have any areas you do not like to show off (stomach, arms) it hides them well without looking like you are trying to hide them.

Beautiful subtle color, gorgeous fabric and super flattering cut/fit. The perfect cut for me - boxy on top and snug and short on bottom- hide the tummy, show off the butt and legs!. Too bad my event was chilly and I wore a wrap most of the evening. Still gorgeous dress that I felt super comfortable and elegant in all night.

This dress was so fun. Different and flirty. Laid on all the right places. I needed a dress that helped hide an after baby belly and this nailed it! I felt sexy without having a super tight fit on. Its short when you sit down! Comfy and easy to wear. Wish I could have kept it!

This dress was unusual, but not flashy; sophisticated and sexy, but still comfortable. Much more impressive in person than in the picture. A pale blue color, not gray.

Fit was great! Really comfortable and flattering dress. I got a TON of compliments. I'd definitely recommend, especially for someone who (like me) carries their extra weight around the middle. The dress is chic, simple, and unusual. Definitely elegant without trying to hard.

I wore tihs to my company holiday party. I received numerous compliments from girls (and guys). The fit was flattering. I ordered the size 8 by mistake (meant to order a 6) and it was a little big, but not noticibly so. It ws flowy and comfortable to dance in. The fabric draped nicely and was sexy without showing too much skin. I wore it with the Chamak by Priya Kakkar "rocker chic" bangles and cream colored snakeskin stilletto pumps with gold heels. Unfortunately I didn't get a picture, but one girl told me I was the best-looking person at the party. This was my first experience with RTR and I will definitely be using them again. My dress arrived exactly on time and it was so easy to just pop in the bag and return without having to worry about dry cleaning.

It is more of a blue than grey. Because of the fabric and the plastic cover I had a hard time reducing the static cling. I rented a 4 and a 6, though the 4 fit I did not hand as well as the 6 through the hips. It is a very cool dress.

The dress is true to size and super comfortable. Fabric is light and flows well at a summer wedding in NYC with the humidity and heat. Neutral color allows for lots of opportunities for sparkle and fun with jewelry, shoes, and other accessories.

I was a little worried about the dress looking too puffy and loose and with my figure, short waisted and a stomach, I thought I might look like a ball but even though I ate my way through New Orleans and wore this the last night it fit great. The perfect party dress. There is a slit on the side which can make it more difficult getting out of cabs gracefully but I would have bought this dress.

It is a very sophisticated dress with the uneven hemline. I wore it with the dangly gold earrings and bracelet featured in the ad. I got a lot of compliments and loved it because it was not showy but looked great !! Would definitely wear it again

This dress was very pretty. I could have worn the 2 but decided that the 4 was easier to sit in at a rehearsal dinner since I was getting up and down. The draping on the 2 looked better.

The draping and asymmetry is really so cute. Got a compliment on the dress from a woman I didn't know at dinner before the event! I was worried the dress wouldn't be sexy enough, but the outside skirt is super sheer, so it looked great.

I usually wear a 6 or 8 all depending on the butt/thigh area as I'm thin but athletic. Both would have fit but the 6 rode up a little more in the butt because it is tighter. Material was great . Very comfy too.

I didn't end up wearing this to my event. When I tried it on, the rear kept riding up. Pretty dress, but not for the bottom full figured.

This dress is great, but can border on frumpy if it's too big. It runs true to size but perhaps size down for your backup...

The dress was very pretty, but looked shapeless from any distance at all since it was hard to see the detailed draping on the dark color. I think it would be better on someone taller, where the draping would be more spread out. I didn't wear it, but wished it looked just a little better so I could have.

My shipment arrived a day late, so I wasn't able to wear this to the wedding. But when I tried it on after, I realized I wouldn't have been able to wear it anyway. I'm 5'8 with a long torso, so this dress was waaay too short for a formal event, or anything really. I was hanging out of it. The sheer part was long, but underneath, it was riding a little too close to areas that shouldn't be seen.

Pros: great fit, super light/breathable material that is great for summer, hits that sweet spot between casual and dressy that is perfect for a dinner out. Cons: material doesn't have a lot of stretch to it, and the slip portion under the sheer skirt was a bit short, so I had to be careful to keep things in order when sitting down. Not that big a deal though!
