I rented this dress for my birthday at an upscale French restaurant in Chicago. The long sleeves were perfect for a fall evening. Loved the asymmetrical neckline. High quality fabric. Did not want to send it back!! Would be a great dress for almost any event.

I was originally worried about the fit as they only had an 8 or a 12 available for my event date but the 8 fit perfectly, even over my fuller bust. I was also apprehensive about the sleeves (ex-swimmer here, so I have big shoulders) but there was plenty of room and they were long enough too! The dress overall was long enough as well, which, as I'm so tall, was also a plus! The dress was comfortable, not too hot, and subtly stylish. I really want to rent it again someday I loved it that much! Got many compliments too!

The fit was almost perfect, the sleeves were a little tight around the shoulder area though. They're also made of a different material than the rest of the dress; the sleeves are a much lighter, stretchier fabric.

Wore it for New Years Eve. Super comfortable and flattering for my body type. I don't normally wear tight dresses but this one looked amazing. You can dress it up or down.

This dress was a great fit and super comfortable because the sleeves a jersey. I wore it to a brunch and it wasn't too fancy, but still looked a bit dressy because of the high quality materials and careful cut. I got tons of compliments. For fit I'd say it is a bit roomy in the waist, but overall was snug in the places i wanted it to be, and not in the others. The skirt has a bit of give. I wore House of Harlow jewelery with the dress, which also worked well.

I loved the sleeves and the different textures of the dress. It is very form-fitting and flattering, but the jersey sleeve made it comfy. Unfortunately, it was a little too big for me in the hips, I was sooo bummed I had to send it back.

Not what I was expecting. The sleeves are cashmere (or cashmere-like) and very thin. This is a great textural and fabric contrast from the remainder of the dress, but very prone to rips. Both dresses I received had a small hole somewhere on the sleeves before I even tried them on. Not sure a dress this fragile is appropriate for RTR format. The rest of the dress was fun (neckline and structure up there is different and awesome), but didn't blow me away. I have very narrow shoulders, and this dress fit me well on top. I would certainly size up if you have broader shoulders or a more athletic frame. It was also slightly short on me.

The dress was warm enough for a winter party. The body is a heavy wool-like feel, without being itchy, and the arms were snuggly jersey. I'm sort but the length was just above my knees, so not too long like normally happens.

Unfortunately it fit tight in the hips so I decided to call and recieved another dress overnite from RTR, they rock to say the least I was desparate as I have used them before and they are perfect for any occasion and I always recommend them to everyone that loves my dresses I wear.

I wore this to a presentation and after party during NYFW. I felt very comfortable in the dress, both physically and emotionally. It has an interesting look to it with the cross and mix of fabrics so it works at a fashion event, but it's also a classic black so it's not TOO bold of a choice. I think it could work nicely for a work party. I selected true to size even though most of the reviews said it ran large. I felt like it fit, even though it wasn't skin tight. I have sort of broad shoulders compared to my hips, but perhaps someone with narrower shoulders might feel like they were swimming it the dress on top

I rented this dress for my husband's post-holiday party. I loved the concept of renting a dress but was skeptical because I am petite ( 5'1") and almost always must have a dress hemmed. I typically wear a 6 or 8 petite so I ordered the size 8 and chose the 6 for my free alternate size. While the size 6 would have been perfect for a night out, it was a little too tight for a work event, so I went with the size 8, which had a little more room in the hips and bust. The sleeves are a knit material so they easily adjusted to my shorter arms, and the hem fell about two inches above the knee. A great find and I was really happy with my experience!

Wow. While I chose this dress and wore it because I liked it, and was at this event with my husband, men I don't even know other than nodding acquaintances remarked on this dress. One liked the zipper up the back, another one said he was impressed, and on and on. It's sleek, covered up, and somewhat mysterious, and I felt good in it. It doesn't need to be worn with a strapless bra (those miserable things!), or bra cups. It was true to size in the hips for me, and even though I am short (5' 3"), it wasn't too long. I wish I had another event tonight to wear it to!

I got a ton of compliments on this dress. It flatters a small bust. It is a little loose in the stomach area. Really wears well..I was a little nervous b/c my first choice dress was already reserved, but this one definitely worked out. Zipper is single friendly - no other set of hands needed.

This dress is the perfect long sleeve LBD. It's comfortable and flattering. I ordered this for a rehearsal dinner but ended up wearing it to the wedding. The different textures of the fabric made it dressier than I thought it was which was great. The sleeves are a more sheer stretchy material, so they weren't restrictive at all. I wore opaque tights, and booties with a zipper on the heel that matched the zipper in the back of this dress. You don't need a necklace with this draped neckline but I wore a statement necklace and it worked. I had a blast because I felt great in this dress! Would love to own! A tiny pinhole (barely noticeable) in one sleeve is why I gave 4 stars instead of 5.

Relatively simple and chic dress but the surprise details, draping and fabrics are what make it unique. Appropriate for conservative or work functions, fits well. Body highlighting; fits and flatters most physiques I would imagine.

I didn't end up wearing it b/c it was too short on me. The Material is really nice if you are shorter. The style is also very slimming. Overall a nice dress, just not for me. I think a larger size would have been OK but at the last minute I was informed a size I booked was damaged and unavailable. Overall, if you are petite this is a great dress for you

This was a very classy dress. Believe it or not, I rented it for a funeral. It was classy enough for such an occasion. For a tall person, the dress was a little bit short, but not tacky. I found that it ran small. I typically wear a size six with ease. Thank goodness for the back up size! I wore this in an 8 and feel I probably could have even gone up to a 10. If you have a VERY slender figure, it would not be an issue. However, I have a rear-end. It is not big, but it is round. I am not particularly large chested, so the top was fine, but the bottom was a little more snug than I was comfortable with. If you have a few curves, size up 2 sizes. Otherwise, I got a million compliments and the dress worked well for the occasion.

This dress is good for warm weather. I wore it for a New Year's Eve party. It's figure flattering, and the neckline is a nice twist on the classic little black dress.

I was only able to rent the 8 because it was a last minute rental. I usually wear between a 6 and an 8, however, the 8 did fit! It does run a bit small and form fitting. Overall, I was pleased with the dress.

I rented this dress for a company holiday party, which was held at a night club venue. I wanted something a little trendier, but I think this may be better suited for a dinner event or something more conservative. I ended up not wearing the dress, but did get credited towards another rental. Hopefully better luck next time.

Fitted near the hips and bust, so I had to size up. Overall very warm, flattering and comfortable.

Wore this to a museum gala. Next to the fur and dripping jewels I fit, in a cool downtown sort of way.

The smaller size I got was a little tight in the sleeve because I have broader shoulders so I went up a size. It was very comfortable and I would highly recommend.

This is the second Helmut Lang size 0 that was large on me. I love the style of this designer, but I guess they don't love me--yet....I'm renting a 3rd Helmut Lang next month, so we'll see! I'm tiny on top, thick in the hips and long waisted. My alternate Doo Ri dress, size 0 (black/white abstract) fit like a glove.

I agree with all of the reviews that said your normal size is good for a night on the town with friends, but not for a more formal setting. I'd rent a size up if you're going to a work or family event. I didn't particularly like the material the sleeves were made out of (cotton blend). The dress itself was nice, but it was not my favorite rental.

This dress was plain yet trendy. It just wasn't a good dress for my body shape. It fit perfect hip/butt area but was loose in the stomach/waist area. This dress would definitely be more flattering on someone tall. Im only 4'11"and so it fell too long on me, which made my legs even shorter. So I would say someone taller would rock this dress out!

I liked the idea of this dress, but it ended up being really small and I didn't wear it. Also, beware that some of the fabric is wool, so I wouldn't wear this dress anywhere warm. I think if you size up, or if you have more of a straight and narrow body type this would be a great dress--it just wasn't right for me.

I loved this dress from its photo---it didn't look like a typical "LBD". As I am near 60 years old, I've finally decided to cover my arms, and this fit the bill perfectly for a dinner party celebrating the engagement of my friend's daughter. I am so glad I chose a back-up dress at the last minute, as both sizes of this dress were misshapen, with the sleeves WAY too long, and the fabric cheap looking.

Fit was perfect, loved that the sleeves were jersey material, over all a stunning dress. The bottom was snug but not too snug and the top shows a classy amount of cleavage.
