I rented this dress for a holiday party at a "swanky" sports bar/lounge in NYC on a Thursday night - the party started almost right after work, so I didn't want to go too glammed up. The dress I originally wanted to rent was unavailable, so I got this one instead. I was thoroughly pleased with it when I received it and put it on! Its more of a taupe color. I'm only 5"1, and I hiked up the skirt just a bit so it was still pretty short on me, the middle of it bunches around your mid section - so it hides any flaws you may have. Def wear a strapless bra as one side will fall of your shoulder and it makes it a bit sexy. The dress hugged my curves in all the right places. I paired this with a chunky necklace, black opaque tights, suede booties, and a leather motorcycle jacket to give it a modern/casual edge. My husband loved it, I got so many looks from gals and guys as I walked into the venue and as I walked out - total ego boost, lol! Would def recommend this dress for something you can easily dress up without looking like you tried too hard.

Fantastic fit, the draping in the middle makes what would be a baggy Tshirt dress way more interesting. I paired it with red heels with little spikes on the toes, red lips and a red bracelet. I ended up wearing a cardi as it was a bit cold, and the arm holes are pretty large. Fits true to size, the small fit perfect, I'm usually a size 4 with a 34D bust. The dress was a great length, hit about mid thigh, but you could play with the length a bit if you wanted it longer. All in all a great dress, would definitely rent it again!

Love all Helmut Lang because its effortless with a little edge- you really can't go wrong.

Loved this dress, it can be work more casually with boots or flats (as I did) or you could easily dress it up. Very flattering draping. I had a lot of fun wearing this.

the second I put this dress on I didn't want to take it off- its so comfortable you could sleep in it! such a great color as well. This dress can easily be dressed up or down and taken from season to season with little to no effort. I'm running (not walking) to the Helmut Lang store to buy it!

The dress was ordered in a small and medium as a back up. The skirt does have a snug fit but the medium was way too big for me. My husband loved the dress and I received many compliments throughout the night.

this was very true to size...loved it..off the shoulder wore it with taupe colored flat cowboy boots with bare legs and a spray tan...added a cuff bracelet and great earrings...this was a no brainer..could be worn with leggings too

Great dress for a casual night on the town. Since it was freezing out the weekend I had this dress, I wore it with black leggings, tan over-the-knee boots, and a woven leather belt. This dress can easily be dressed up or down, and is really comfortable. FYI for hourglass girls, this dress will do nothing for your figure. It's got a fabulous Man Repeller potato-sack vibe going on. But hey fashion isn't about showing off your curves, it's about looking awesome :)

The fit was fantastic. Very comfortable. The only thing about the dress is that by the end of the night it was slightly stretched out. (I was quite active during the evening.) But, I loved the dress and would definitely rent it again.

As the picture suggests, the bottom portion of this dress is intended to be fitted... that being said, if you have hips, keep this in mind! I didn't mind the fit, was fun & edgy up top (loved the asymmetical neckline), but needed a belt, as other reviewers suggested, to hold the middle, baggier portion in place (I have no chest & a small waist). I'm 5'9" and size 6/8 and the medium was almost too big, definitely needed the belt... should've tried the small, but liked it anyway.

I ordered the large and at my height the length fell just above the knee. The fabric streches to give you a little extra wiggle room if you need it (I did). The top drapes really pretty but I think it would look even better on a smaller bust. The gathering in the mid-section is also forgiving. Overall the the fit was nice, but I felt that the dress did not photograph well. Looks much better in person. I wore it to a night out dancing with the girls and paired it with a silver cuff and large earrings. Perfect for the occassion because it was so comfortable.

I was very comfortable in this dress and I got many complements. I would absolutely wear this dress again. I would suggest wearing a fun bra with a print because you could certainly see it through the arm hole. Overall very happy!!

I thought this dress fit pretty true to size. I ordered it in a small and medium and think I ended up wearing the medium because I have a larger bust. It's quite short, but since I'm only 5'2 it worked for me. Definitely needs some accessories to spice it up, but all in all it's a cute dress. RTR was a pleasure dealing with as well!

I loved the fabrication, it was a very comfortable dress but I had a hard time wearing it. It didn't stay off the shoulder and I had to adjust it often.

This was awful! It was a huge weird gray color bag! I couldn't even wear it. Unless your model tall and have some curves don't rent this!

This dress is great for people with a straight and narrow shape. I am a 4/6 with an hourglass shape and this dress accentuated all the wrong areas. Not at all flattering on me.
