love this dress

This dress was STUNNING! Definitely runs true to size (I'm usually a 4/6 and the small fit perfectly). My only complaint was that the straps were a little loose and slid down quite a bit during the night, but the dress looked so fab, I couldn't care one bit!

Got a bunch of compliments on this dress and felt ultra sexy in it. Fit was great except for at the top. Straps were a little long for my torso so they didn't sit quite right. And I also felt like maybe the top had been stretched out a bit by the previous wearer, it was oddly loose. All in all loved the dress though!

I wore a small in this dress. The extra small might have been a bit better, but I still LOVED this dress. I rented another Herve dress for this same weekend and the small was bit more snug. I had great time in this dress :-)

Great length for the dress. Pretty shoulder design. Material was great. But the size was way too big for a S. Somebody stretched the top potion just a little too much.

I rent this dress to wear to my friend's wedding and my uncle's 25th anniversary. I got so many compliments on this dress from everybody. I wish I had ordered medium because the large was a little loose, but since the dresses in bandage material I didn't have a problem at all.

I rented this dress for a formal affair and it was a big success. The photographer at the party came up to me just to photograph the detail of the dress. My husband also couldn't be happier! I ordered size S only because M was rented out and was surprised to find out that it fit perfectly. The dress does indeed run large. M would've been way too big on me. I didn't have any problems with the straps at all that other reviewers described. Perhaps, because I'm tall and my shoulders are decently sized. The straps stayed perfectly well in place all night. The dress is very comfortable to wear. I wore a strapless bra underneath and put some fashion tape on the sides just in case. I didn't have to worry at all about the dress riding up or down. When I ordered it I was concerned that it would be scandalously sexy / too short, but the dress looked very classy. Even on my 5'11'' frame the length was just right. Rent this dress and you won't regret it!

The dress was pretty good over all. I found that the dress ran a bit large and grew as the night went on. I am usually a 10/12 and though the dress fit it was a tad big, I bet the medium would have been a perfect fit. The sexy side straps were very annoying in that they would not stay in place (another sign, I think that the large was too big). Overall a very comfortable dress. Cant wait to use RTR again

Wore this for a holiday party. It looked amazing! the straps were a little difficult. I had to constantly re-adjust them to their correct position. small price to pay to look great in photos!

In regards to body type, I'd describe myself as having a Jennifer Lopez body type (petite upper body and voluptuous/curvy lower body); because of this - I did not end up choosing to wear this dress because the top (cup area) was either stretched from someone who has a larger bust or just too big to fill (I'm a 34A/B cup size). Because of the side straps, you need substanstial support/wide upper body in the top in order to "contain" the straps (I found the straps hard to keep down, they kept rising up). This was the backup style so I ended up going with my intial choice which was another Herve dress.

The dress was a little large on me, but ended up being tastefully so. I am between sizes and the medium might have been too tight. I wore this to a friends engagement party and later to a fundraiser. Got many compliments! The dress, however does not have the metallic sheen as depicted.

This dress was incredible. I received so many complements. It was not as slick as it appears in the picture, but that didn't make much of a difference because it fit so well. The straps on the rental I received were stretched out a bit. My only complaint.

I loved this dress. Thee END. LOL... the fit was perfect and the straps made this not your ordinary little black dress. I'm roughly 5"11 -6"1 & the dress still didn't fit short like I was afraid it would. I got nothing but complements and attention when I wore this dress at a fashion event.

The dress fit very well. Because I have a smaller chest it was a little large in the bust area - which appeared to be a little streched but overall was an excellent fit. It was just tight enough to create the shape I wanted but still allowed plenty of room to breathe. Very edgy look that was complemented all evening by others. I would definitely rent again.

The dress is not as shiny as shown in the image. The only thing I can think of is from too many rentals & dry cleaning trips. It is gorgeous & I love Herve dresses and the metallic twist that this offered, so needless to say I am very disappointed to be wearing just another LBD in the sea of black dresses.

I recently gained weight and was worried that I would need to size up from a small (i'm usually at 2-4) to a medium (6) based on the sizing chart. Since there was no medium, I tried the small with a corset around my waist, and it looked great. The fabric has a lot of give, was very comfortable to wear, and really flatters curves. I had just a little bit of riding up in the skirt/hips, but it wasn't too bad. Glad I took a gamble on the small!

I ordered the large in this dress in hopes that it would fit since it is a very form fitting/tight style of dress though I am a true medium. But this dress does not come in a medium. The large was too big so I did not wear it. I definitely feel that this style runs true to size. DO NOT SIZE UP!

The stretch allowed me to fit in a small with all my curves nicely hugged. I got the extra size for good measure in case one didn't fit. Unfortunately, the one that didn't fit was shiny, while the one that fit was matte. I t looked like the shiny stuff had worn off or something. No worries though, no holes or tears, so otherwise, the dress was in good condition. Would have appreciated instructions on how to wear the strap.

Sexy dress, hugged and flattered all the right places (which is really everywhere in a bandage dress). The only thing I didn't like was that the strap situated lowest on your shoulder basically will not stay there, but I didn't find the straps loose like other reviewers mentioned (possibly not positioning them correctly).

Just saying, my shoulders do not fit this dress. I am too narrow. I was really disappointed because it is such an elegant dress. It fit everywhere except the shoulder.

I am small-chested and the previous wearer was not so the dress was not as form fitting as it should have been. So disappointed as otherwise it was a great fit! Flawless customer service however. Will try to rent something else!

I ended up not wearing this dress since the dress I originally intended to rent fit perfectly. I could only rent the Lrg and that was a little big on me. I am 5'4" and 165 and would definitely recommend the med. Overall the dress was beautiful.

Very pretty dress. Wore size small and still had room (typically I am a size 6). The bands across the one shoulder were stretched-out though so kept slipping and gapping during the night. I am 5'9" and it seemed to be longer than the model in the picture - just to my knees. Overall a good cocktail or business party dress.

Fabric is not as it appears in the picture, it is plain black and not shiny. Fits great though.

This dress looks sleek and sexy in the picture. In real life it is more of a matte finish and does not have any gloss to it. The dress is also very very stretched out. Straps are too long for a short person and being busty didn't help me hold the straps in place. Overall I would say if you are tall and slim with broad shoulders this dress would be a cute black dress to wear.

Although this dress is amazing I was unable to wear it for my event. I ordered it in a size small and found that the chest was wayyy to big. The rest of the dress fit pretty perfectly but it bunched and sagged off my chest like it had been stretched out by someone much bustier than me. Would be great for someone who is bigger than a 32B!

The dress fit ok, but an XS would have been better. It was a little long and the bust was stretched out a bit. I am a fairly large in the chest and it was awkwardly stretch out in places along the armpit area and around the top. This was my backup dress, so I was not that disappointed since my first choice, another Herve Leger (in a Medium), fit perfectly!

Great fit and style HOWEVER there is no shimmer remaining on the dress whatsoever so if that is part of the reason why you rent this you will be disappointed. Overall just a sexy black dress minus the shine!

It was alright. The fit to the body was great but the straps just would not stay. I tried using the double-sided fashion tape to keep them in place but with my arms moving all the time it was a lost cause. Was really annoying to be fixing the straps constantly or trying not to move my arm/shoulder too much.

Disappointed. This dress would have been absolutely perfect and super hot if it wasn't completely stretched out! I guess from the washing's of all the rentals this dress has lost the elasticity by the chest part and the bottom hem. I would have sent this back if I wasn't going away for the wedding and had no choice but to wear it. I loved however, the bag and everything else that came with my package. Felt very glamorous. I hope I have a better experience with rtr next time.

Was so excited to wear this but had to exchange for another dress as this one is definitely not made for an average-sized girl! While the small fit well across my body (horizontally), it came to my knees (not a very flattering cutoff point) and the straps were too long and/or too stretched-out. I imagine the dress would have looked more flattering on someone TALL and skinny and more like a model... but doesn't everything?

I rented this as a back-up dress for an event. It is a gorgeous dress, super sexy, but is very stretched out (especially the straps at the top) so I decided not to wear it. If you love this dress, order a size down and also make sure that you wear spanx since the fabric is stretched out and does not suck you in quite as well as Herve Leger usually does.

Although it fit me in the body, the straps were too long for me, possibly stretched out? I have pretty broad shoulders. Tape didn't help, I would order size smaller than normal

It does not work with a Kim K. type shape.

This dress fit very nicely although was a little too stretchy at the bust area...I did not choose to wear it (not for that reason) but could have, since the fabric lays smoothly on your chest anyway... the dress feels "heavy" but does not feel that way once it's on your body. Very sexy.
