The fit is very tight, but the fabric stretches with your body. Its a great length because it falls right above your knee. I wore a stick on front bra and there were no lines. Underwear is a different story the lines are very visible, therefore I went without.I had order another Herve dress and there was a quality control issue and the Stylist ended up shipping me this dress. I would 100% rent this dress again its amazing, I want all of his dresses.

This dress did amazing things - seriously so slimming and makes your waistline look tiny. I wore an XS only because S was sold out - it was a tight fit. So many compliments, even from the older crowd. I was worried the dress was going to be too form fitting for a nice outdoor day wedding but it was very classy looking.

Girls, if you can zip up this dress easily-YOURE WEARING TOO BIG OF A SIZE! It should fit super tight like spanx. It should be hard or impossible to zip by yourself. Get a friend to do it. It's supposed to hold you in! Wear your regular size and you'll get the full effect of the built in slimming of the real designer bandage. That way it sits right and you'll get the "oh my god, you look INCREDIBLE" comments. That's when your butt looks killer!

I've rented this dress for two weddings now, I absolutely love it! It does run small since it's a bandage dress so order a size up if you are unsure. Got so many compliments on the dress all night long, my boyfriend's best friend even said if he didn't buy the real thing for me, he would LOL! Don't think twice about this one, you won't regret your decision!

Being 38 and having 2 children under the age of 4 accompany me to a wedding for my cousin. I needed a dress that I wasn't going to fall out of if I had to chase one of my little ones or bend down to pick them up. I needed to be comfortable....and of course I wanted to look HOT for my husband. This dress was perfect. I danced the night away. Note: Wearing spanx with this dress would be very uncomfortable and is not needed since this dress is very tight on and bandages you in just like spanx does.

The fit was perfect. I ordered the small & medium. Choose the medium because I wanted it to the knee. I thought that the top of the dress was a little stretched out but the pros outweigh the cons of this dress it was beautiful. The staff at rent the runway were extremely helpful. I would definitely rent more dresses in the future!!!

This dress fits like all the other herve bandage dresses! it hugs you in all the right places and makes your shape look amazing! The colors on this dress are gorgeous! i paired it with nude louboutins and a nude valentino clutch! perfect look!

The fit will flatter most body types, but you may need to be over 5'5 for the length to hit correctly! Great rental! I will definitely rent Herve again. Super comfy with minimal readjusting during a 7-8 hour wear time.

This dress was not the original dress I ordered. I made the grave mistake of ordering two Herve strapless-mini-dresses that I after two pregnancies, stretch marks, and veiny legs later I felt less than stellar in. My husband thought they looked great, but I knew I would be feeling awkward all day/night. I chatted with a stylist at Runway and she took care of overnighting me a replacement dress, this one, at no extra cost. That is service and why Runway stands out! This dress was definitely "loved" by a lot of renters, so I expected some wear and there was a bit of strange stain/fabric run? that you could barely see and I ordered down from my usual size and it still fit like a S. I had so many people tell me how great I looked, including all of the bridesmaids at the wedding. They all wanted to know about the dress and one even asked the bride if I was a model.Ha! I had to finally confess that I had rented the dress.

I got this dress at the last minute when (thankfully) the backup size of my original choice was unavailable. This dress was incredible -- the nicest dress I've worn outside of my wedding dress. I am in good shape, but even someone in shape can look frumpy in a usual outfit (most of my clothes are cheap and off-the-rack). In this dress my husband said "I won the dress contest" and I got compliments from men and women both. As others have mentioned, seasoned event and venue staff were all impressed with the style, even given the quantity of dresses they see. The neckline and length are classy and not revealing, even with the dress being so close-fitting. I wore simple tan sandals with a small heel to kind of counteract the sexiness of the dress. I felt really comfortable and confident -- it was totally worth the rental, and I will rent Herve Ledger for sure in the future.

The dress fit amazingly and made me feel absolutely beautiful. I'm about 5'5" and it came to my knee. The only thing I would say is I was VERY thankful I also had the size small sent, the xs is TINY and although it fit, sitting down or moving at all comfortably would have been questionable. I would highly recommend ordering two sizes so you can enjoy being in the dress and not be stuck feeling like you cant move.

This fit tighter than other Herve Leger dresses I've worn, but I still really loved it. The coloring especially was gorgeous. I'm short and this came down to just below my knee. I think the particular dress I wore has been rented quite a bit because the fabric across the neckline was a bit rumpled as if it had been overstretched in the past. It still worked well for me though & was perfect at my friend's wedding.

I absolutely loved this dress! At the last minute, the dress I had ordered was unavailable in the size that I needed. I was so disappointment but Rent the Runway immediately notified me and gave me other options. I was able to upgrade to this dress and they sent it over night. I wish I would've listened to the reviews because it definitely would've been better to size up. I ALWAYS wear smalls but a medium would've been much better. I got the dress on, but the next size up would've been more comfortable so definitely size up for your 2nd size. I received SOOOO many compliments at the wedding and also friends who saw my photo online. It wasn't your ordinary dress...definitely a show stopper! I also have several friends who want to rent from RTR now. :) CANNOT WAIT for my next dress to arrive this week!

I could never have squeezed into the small. I rented this for a professional function, and ended up wearing it for an out of town birthday dinner the night before also. It was sexy enough to wear for a date night with my husband, yet elegant enough for a professional fundraiser with colleagues. I will definitely rent this one again.

Fits like a glove, very body hugging but still allows movement and the ability to breathe. I loved this dress and received SO many compliments.

It was not my first pick, but the first dress could not be shipped to me, so this one was my second choice and it was tight but everyone loved it!

The best way to describe Herve is.....well it's "normal" if 1-2 people are needed to zip you up. If you can zip an Herve number up all by yourself, then it's too big! These dresses are comfortable and you will get multiple compliments throughout the night. I highly recommend renting an Herve at least once in your life....why not?

I actually rented another Herve Leger dress for my law school graduation but it was damaged and I was able to pick another dress to be sent so I picked this one! I loved it. I normally wear an XS but, after reading the other reviews, I decided to get the small in this and the small ended up being perfect. I was so happy that I decided to go with that size. I was sad that I had to keep the dress covered with my graduation robe because it was just beautiful... the colors photographed really nicely and I got a ton of compliments. The material is just fantastic, of course, and I didn't have to wear Spanx or anything.

This dress fit like a glove. I wore it for my birthday and everyone complimented me on the dress. I had no issues getting it on and the length was perfect. I will definitely be renting This dress again :-)

This dress loved my hourglass figure! What can I say about Herve that hasn't been said. Truly compliments! I LOVED THIS DRESS! Will defiantly rent again!

Dress material is forgiving but still runs very small. I'm usually a size 0 (true to size 0), jean size 24/25, 32D and I originally ordered an XXS, XS on the advice of one of the stylist. I tried them on and could not get them past my thighs...ugh* I immediately contacted RTR and was able to receive a size S the very next day. RTR truly has great customer service! I think this will be my go to rental dress from now on. Really a great dress, even hubby got compliments for me.

Absolutely gorgeous! I loved it so much that I splurged and bought the dress online! Beautiful, luxe fabric. This dress is just so unique but also classic at the same time. CLASSY (felt like it left something to the imagination with no cleavage) but DEFINITELY will turn heads! Not for a wallflower! Wore it with nude hose, nude 5-inch pumps and minimal jewelry. Ladies, please don't cover up this dress with a shawl or tons of jewelry. This dress is all the statement you need. I think it's gorgeous w/ gold jewelry, though. The ombre colors are gorgeous! Going from a beautiful cream at the top to a stunning hot pink at the waist (the waist is extra cinched and very slimming) down to a deep burgundy at the bottom. I wore it off the shoulder - what I love is that the straps have a slightly sticky inside band so they hold down. You can't wear a normal bra with this because it will peek out the sides and the lines will show through the tight fabric. I wore an adhesive, front-only bra with no sides or back. I was nervous about sizing. The XS fit me perfectly (meaning it was VERY tight). I normally wear a 0 or 2 in dresses. I never like to go "bare leg" with a dress so I wore a pair of SEAMLESS nude hose (Wolford Fatal). Any kind of seams will show through the dress (if you must do underwear, wear a seamless pair). I see a lot of women on here wearing the wrong HL size (in my opinion).... too big. The dress should not slip on easily. I was able to zip mine up myself but it took a couple minutes of struggling! It should fit like a second skin... that will give you the Spanx-like/hourglass enhancing fit that you want. If you need someone else to zip you up, then you know you're wearing the right size :)

I wore this dress to a gala and received so many compliments! I typically wear a size 2/small, but this dress, as described in other reviews, runs small. I almost never wear a medium, but I'm SO glad I sized up. Ladies, take note! The medium fit perfectly and while it's extremely form-fitting, I still felt like I could breathe and dance the night away. This dress shows off every curve which makes it sexy, but the length and cut add a touch of class--the perfect combination. I think the smile on my boyfriend's face says it all...!

I was worried this would be a bit too over the top for a church + classy wedding reception but it turned out to be totally fine! Dress was long enough (just past my knees), especially on my 5' 4" frame; the bandage-style of the Herve also kept it from looking too form-fitting or showing any lines. Definitely a super-fitted dress, as expected, but it accentuated curves in all the right places--size S fit fine but looked a bit tighter than I wanted for this particular event (I'd probably size down to S if I were going out for a night on the town); M was still very fitted and cute without being too too tight all the way down the butt). Wore this with 2.5 inch nude J Crew heels & Spanx to cinch in the waist a bit more. Worked out perfectly. Everyone kept asking where the dress was from; one bartender even said it was her favorite dress all night. Definitely a gem. This was my first RTR experience but I'll definitely be back for more amazing dresses like this one!

Love this dress. It was overnighted to my hotel when my first dress didn't work out. I wore it to a black-tie (ish) 10 year anniversary work event. Pros: figure flattering (no spanx needed), great colors, definitely stands out against all black cocktail dresses. Cons: It runs small!! I couldn't even get the small over my thighs! (I've got curvy hips) The medium was perfect, but definitely shows off every curve. It was much longer than I expected. At 5'4, it went to the bottom of my knees. Another RTR dress I rented was listed as the same length but wasn't nearly as long - not sure which one was stated incorrectly? And lastly, I couldn't fit a strapless bra in the dress, but I wish I had packed bra/nipple petals to avoid the potential embarrassment in the cold - just be warned :) And towards the end of the night the "sleeves" couldn't figure out if they wanted to be on my shoulder or off. Otherwise got a ton of compliments and really enjoyed wearing something so unique! And thanks to RTR for saving me the last minute!

This dress fit abaolutely perfect! Hugs your curves, hides the excess :) Makes you feel classy and sexy at the same time Only bad part was when someone pointed out that another lady had on the same Dress!

I originally got a Medium in another HL dress, but thanks to one of RTR's Go-To-Girls, I got to size up to a Large just in time for my event. Loved the gradient color scheme on the dress and it fitted like a glove. Although it's a boatneck/cap-sleeve neckline, it does tend to ride up the shoulders a bit if you're doing anything but sitting and looking pretty. No-show undergarments are highly suggested for these bandage-style dresses.

I wore this for Valentine's Day dinner 2014 with my husband. VD also happens to be our anniversary, and I've lost 60 lbs in the last year, so wanted something really special. This dress was amazing, and absolutely delivered! Not only did my husband love it, but every where we went, people stared at the dress. I felt like a supermodel. I normally wear small/medium (I'm nearly 5'9", and 132 lbs), and I ordered the medium with the large back up dress. Thank God RTR made the Plan B available, because I ended up needing the large. This dress definitely runs small. However, with the thick bandage style, you don't necessarily need Spanx, which I appreciated!

I wore this for my 30th birthday party. I ended up wearing the larger size because this dress runs very small. But it was really comfortable and kept its shape all night (even with some dancing). The colors were amazing and I got tons of complements. I felt this dress accentuated the right parts of the body and made me look great.

This dress stood out and I felt amazing in it! I have had 2 children and this smooths everything out! I would definitely rent this dress again and any other Herve' Dress!!!

I'm thin, 5'7'' and 120 lbs in this picture, and let me tell you- I COULD NOT ZIP UP THE SMALL! So please keep that in mind when choosing second size. i wore a medium. These dresses are so high quality, so sexy, so unforgettable, that you don't have to show an inch of cleavage or thigh and be the most stunning woman in the room. I've never wanted, lusted, coveted a piece of clothing like I do that dress. It was so hard to send back. Order any Herve leger dress. You won't be disappointed.

When I posted this picture on Facebook, I got an enormous reaction from all my friends, and even my husband's friends I didn't even know! I had over 100 "likes" and 40+ comments and compliments. Everyone was commenting on how good I looked, and asked me where I got the dress! The dress is very tight, so if you are over a size 12, I wouldn't recommend it, but the stretchy bandages really suck you in tight. The gradational color is really unique and eye catching. I called it the "Champagne to Cabernet" dress since it looks like shades of wine!

I usually get the large in Herve Leger, as it fits better in the bust for me. Loved the color.
