i rented this dress for my engagement shoot and overall it is comfortable however i felt the shoulder area was a bit loose compared to the rest of the dress.

I've actually lost weight so I'm 5'6, 130 lbs and it fit great but I would usually wear a 4 or a 6 these days.

This is my first rental from RTR. The dress was very comfortable, I opted to wear shape wear to get a smoother silhouette. The dress was in great shape, except there were some visible signs of wear on the zipper paint, and it was missing a hook and eye closure on the neck piece. The dress fit very well, very comfortable. I would highly recommend this dress!

Really great dress- fit true to size and the shoulder details made it stand out from your typical Leger! Got complements all night. Really gave great shape too. One word of advice- wear a lower cut strapless bra, if anything- the tips of mine kept edging up through the keyholes. Would definitely rent again.

Fits tight on the body, but is still stretchy enough to feel comfortable. I liked the fit and flare style, and it is definitely a stand out dress! Highly recommend!

Loved this dress and received tons of compliments on it. It fits tight and you don't need to wear a bra underneath. I would rent it again.

Loved the dress. I got an xs and s and both fit, it just depended on the type of fit that I wanted. the xs fit better all around but was a little shorter. The s had more wiggle room and the couple inches of extra length that I wouldn't have minded, but at the end of the day I wanted that snug fit. Great look!

Its your classic herve, fits every curve perfectly, slimming and sexy. I would recommend this dress to anyone. true to size

The color is a beautiful red. It's snug but you can move around easily in this dress. I felt so elegant and beautiful and everyone that night was complimenting me. My boyfriend said he was happy I was wearing the dress. Even days later he was talking about how beautiful I looked in the dress. He said he wanted to see the dress again. I definitely would rent it again for a special occasion.

The dress fit like a glove. I didn't have to wear a bra. As you can see in the picture, my D cup runneth over in the dress, but no complaints. I styled it with black tights and my own black Christian Louboutin pumps after chatting with the RTR stylist. I wore this out to a Girls night out in NYC Broadway show and dinner at very hip Beauty & Essex in SoHo. I definitely felt like the bell of the ball!!

I rented both the XS and S in this dress. Glad I got both sizes because the XS was way too tight! Had a little trouble wearing a strapless bra as it was showing through the peep holes, but overall really liked wearing this dress. Its the perfect combo of sexy and classy!

The dress fit true to size. It was a great dress for a wedding and I received a lot of complements. The only downside was it was a tad stretched out on the right shoulder. And it's skin tight nothing a pair of spankx can't fix!

I just loved the look of this red flared Herve with its strappy details and flared bottom. It looked exactly like it does in the photos. I did find that it ran smaller in the chest and rib cage compared with other dresses from this line. I have worn about 10 both from RTR and my own and have always taken XS or even XXS, S had always been too large, but I definitely feel I could have used a S in this dress. I was able to wear the XS, but it was extremely difficult to zip, became quite uncomfortable after a couple hours, and really compressed my chest down because it was so tight. Because I thought I knew my size in this brand, I did not choose the back up size, but I would definitely recommend you do in a size larger!

It's very tight, especially in the arms, but I got several compliments on the dress. I paired it with sparkly gold heels and a statement gold necklace.

I rented the red dress for a holiday party. I'm a size 4, and also wear smalls often. This dress was a little tight! I felt like I better not eat a thing or the seams would pop! Form fitting or painted on are two different things. I loved the color and the detail at the top, but I'd order medium for comfort next time.

This dress looked and felt amazing! I needed to wear the chicken cutlet type bra inserts. I'll rent again!

The top straps were a bit too long for my frame. It took a lot 'engineering' (ie, tape, pins) to get right, but awesome once everything is in place. Danced the night away, ate everything in the banquet, did lots of Old Hollywood style photos in this dress.

Real pretty on the top and the color is amazing!

Overall very pretty, lovely color, but it must be meant for larger busts because the straps in the upper back area were extremely loose, several inches too large, which made the whole upper area loose. I made it work and wore the dress, and I'm happy overall, but would not rent again.

For the second time this winter, plans were ruined due to bad weather. So, I couldn't wear this dress out! But, I did try both the XS and S on and thought it was a GREAT dress. I really liked how the XS fit the bottom half, but the S made it more comfortable in the top area. I do think the top area might be slightly small. If I have a reason to rent this one again, I would definitely get both sizes and go from there again, as I could have worn both. I also love that, with this Herve, I don't feel like I'm too much on display---the little flair at the bottom makes it a little more conservative, but definitely an eye catcher! I hope he makes more dresses like this one!

This is a dress that will impress! I got so many compliments all evening in regards to how my dress looked. The color was fabulous on my olive skin tone. I shyed away from wearing a necklace just because the cut outs on the top are enough to be an eye catcher. The dress was not short but also not super long. It is also very very form fitting so if you have a lot of lumps, this is not the dress for you. Overall, happy with my first rental and will be renting again. Thank you RTR.

The only negative is that it runs small, so size up.

The dress was beautiful, but I did not expect how HEAVY it would be! It reminded me of drapes or curtains. It looked really good on, & I got a lot of compliments during the night. But I had to wonder- I am not a heavy person, average height & weight. It was all my sister could do to get it zipped up- she broke a sweat doing it! And it was a large! The biggest size it comes in. I had to wonder just who could fit the smaller sizes?! So I would definitely order big!

I loved this dress!!!! I wish it was an inch or two shorter and the top fit me a little better. I am not very busty so it was a little big on the top but fit perfect on the bottom! It was not as comfortable as the black Herve Leger I have rented before but it was gorgeous!!! I received so many compliments!

I wanted to love this dress but it was not right for me. My daughter is the "body" in the details above and she is 5'9" but I am only 5'4". So, the dress fit amazingly and looked great except the flare at the bottom. In her words - it made me look short and stumpy :-(. It was just not a good length or style for me. For someone taller or with longer legs it would have been great. Loved the top and back - really cute details.

The dress was very form fitting, which I love given my very thin frame. All except for the in adjustable back straps of the dress. So, unfortunately, despite my excitement to wear this beautiful, cute, but still sexy red dress, I couldn't do it with the straps hanging awkwardly off my back. I tried to see if there was way to pin it and make it work. But there just wasn't. It might not happen to anyone else with a bigger bust than me, which is probably everyone! Ha!

Runs large, there's an awkward gap in the back. It was very upsetting

I rented this for NYE but didn't end up wearing. The flare hit in a funny spot since I'm short (5'1). Looked amazing up top (if you're busty) but not the most flattering if you don't have long legs.

I was very excited to receive this as my backup dress as the dress I ordered was not available. PRO: Color is beautiful and cut of the dress shows just enough skin without being too sexy. It's very fitted from top thru just above the "rear cheeks". Great overall length (~2" above my knees). The fabric has a nice weight to it so it literally sucks in minors bumps that I wanted to hide. ;) CAN be worn without Spanx as I didn't see any difference between with and without. CONS: Unfortunately, this dress didn't fit quite right on me. Although it does fit small it still looks okay but the area that i couldn't get over is the bunching in the underarm/chest area. I am small chested and have a short torso. This is double whammy for this dress. =( I had to keep pulling down the dress and making the dress look longer. I ended up wearing my own dress from the closet. Overall, this dress really NEEDS to fit like a glove to look right.

Unfortunately, this dress went wrong for me. The medium certainly fit (small couldn't zip up!), but the top was not working well with my chest (the neckline came down way too low on the medium for me) and I looked a bit smushed down as well, not a good look for me. The fabric is pretty heavy and the dress is body-con but flexible. In the end it just didn't work with my particular shape. The red color was lovely though, very vibrant, and the styling of the straps were interesting.

This dress was a very odd fit. Large and stretched out at the shoulders, tight everywhere else. I didn't end up wearing this to my event.

Best dress I've rented from RTR

Nice thick fabric, nice shade of red, neckline sexy. The only problem were the straps, they were too long and I had to alter them with safety pins. Also please be aware that you cannot wear a bra due to very open front/neckline and open back. Overall very good experience. If you have larger breasts than you may need size large.
