I am 5'9" and 150 lbs and usually wear a 6 in dresses. I am very small up top and bigger on the bottom. I ordered the 6 and the 8 as a back up. The 6 fit in the body but the hem around my legs was SO tight I could barely walk so I had to wear the 8. The dress is ALL sequins which I did not realize. It looked beautiful but it did rub me just a tad along the arms. Overall, I would recommend this dress but if you are pear shaped, size up.

LOVED! I was weary of wearing all sequins to my husbands work party because I didn't want to look over the top, but it was perfect. The pattern makes it more contemporary and interesting. The sequins at the arms didn't bother me like some other reviewers. However, others are right about how tight the band is at the bottom - it's the only part of the dress with no stretch. I was ok going down stairs but had challenges going up because of it! I'm between a 0 and 2 and wore the 0. Would rent again!

Loved this dress! It was extremely flattering. Zipper was a little hard to pull up/down but the dress was worth it. I felt like the star of the gala in this last night! Loved it more than I anticipated and it was great at concealing my flaws!

True to size and tight fit. The outside is a little scratchy with the sequins, but fun for a night.

Overall the fit was true to size as my normal size 6 did fit. However I really wanted that looser, sheath fit so I went with the 8. Great style, great color, really comfortable. I'm 5'8" and I really liked the shorter length for the occasion (bachelorette party). Overall a really great rental!

I wore this for a fancy gala dinner on a cruise. The 6 fit fine as well, but the 4 was definitely better as it was more form fitting.

I wore this dress for an anniversary date in Manhattan. There was the right amount of give in the fabric, and the size two fit perfectly at five months pregnant. The dress was comfortable, and I was able to wear a standard bra. A total knockout and highly recommended!

Rented this at 30 weeks pregnant for a winter birthday date with my husband. Wore with black tights and black ankle boots-- loved it! Band at the bottom is a bit tight but was able to pull up to use the bathroom just fine. At this point in my pregnancy, I was about 135lbs and had G cups...yikes! The dress was super accommodating and very flattering. In person the sparkle is more subtle and elegant than I anticipated, though still a very fun dress!

This dress had it all -- style (covering my body but fun), color (not too gold -- more bronze/gold), and comfort (a little itchy in armpits but comfortable for 8 hours). I was able to dance in it -- the bottom hem is a tad fixed/tight. I received lots of compliments...fun dress that I paired with leather leggings for a metallic mix &a mingle event. Definitely would rent for a party, NYE, etc. top quality. This was a surprise pick because my original dress order was retuned late/damage by previous renter.

I wore this to a wedding that had no drinking and no dancing... so I feel like this fit my body (which is pear shape). The length was perfect but I can't speak to how it moves for dancing. I also rented Kate Spade glitter gold chandelier earrings from RTR to complete my look and they matched perfectly! Pros +Shows right amount of leg (my mother-in-law complimented this) +Great Fall Color +Photographs in all lighting (I tried to show a range of this in the collage) +The bride kept complimenting me all night on how beautiful I looked at her own wedding +It did NOT itch at all for me (like others said) +The bottom hem did NOT ride up or squeeze or feel restricted for me in anyway (like others said) +I got to wear the smaller size (that always feels good) Cons -I wish it came in more colors so I could rent it again

I loved this dress! My fiancée told me how amazing I looked all night. It was comfortable and really fun to wear.

I usually wear a size 10 so I got the 10 and 12 in this and the 10 zipped but was SUPER tight and very unlike the fit on the model. I was expecting a baggy style dress but this was not at all. With that said, the 12 was a little less tight so I went with that size. It was snug and not the original look I was going for, but it wound up still looking really nice. The bottom rim of the dress is super tight but wasn't really a problem until I had to get in the car and drive...but dancing was fine all night. The sequins under the arms pinched a bit but nothing too crazy.

This dress fit perfect and worked great as a maternity dress! It was comfortable and I looked fabulous for my 10 year high school class reunion.

I am a Mom and I never party now but when it was my friends bachelorette party in vegas I knew I has to rent a fabulous dress. I rented it at their store in Cosmopolitan. Loved this dress and how comfortable it was. Its not reveling at all and the sparkle is perfect for vegas night out

Loved this dress. Both the 2 and 4 fit but I went with the 4 because the arms were a little looser and that way the sequins weren't rubbing on my arm.

I got the size 8 and 6, the 6 fit me perfectly except the very bottom hem was so tight I couldn't walk, so I ended up wearing the 8. I got tons of compliments and loved the dress! The sequins were a little itchy but that it to be expected.

The sleeves were a tad picky but other than that, it was a terrific dress! Comfortable and really made me feel terrific all night with no worries!

Material was unusual but not uncomfortable. The fit was flattering but very straight, so you may want to get a size up if you're curvy. Overall I really liked wearing this dress- I got so many compliments!

Great fit, color and shape!

The dress was a hit and I received many compliments! Comfortable, flattering and just the right length. The back and side panels are very flattering. I did have to wear a back-less bra since I am small chested which improved the look. Would highly recommend!

I found the overall fit to be true to size. It was amazing on and I received nothing but compliments all night. I liked that the sequins were so closely knit that there would less likely be any missing ones by the end of the night. Made me feel phenomenal all night. Easy to dance in and I did not find the bottom of the dress to be confining as it was comfortable for me to walk/dance. This dress is a show stopper. I would most definitely rent this dress again.

This dress was so cute and perfect for the formal event I was at! Not too shiny for photos, but it was great and sparkly! It was a great length, even though I'm really tall. It fit really well, not too tight, but not too big either!

I really fell in love with this dress online. I loved that it swayed between bronze and gold in the photos, which made it seem easy and versatile to style, and that it was short but not revealing. I ordered this as my backup to my original dress and when the original didn't work, I was still excited to wear this. I will say that it does fit true to size, but if you are pear shaped like me, the waist and bust will be quite roomy. I found the hips to be a little tight, but there is some stretch to the material (and having shapewear on is helpful, too). The sequins did not scratch, and I had no trouble moving in it all night long. It was a little short, but paired with black tights, it wasn't an issue at all. I loved that it had a different look in just about all the photos, but it was still beautiful from all points of view. I probably wouldn't rent this again for my body type, but would recommend it to anyone else as it really is a stunner.

Dress was perfect for my brother's wedding. I'm usually a 4/small and it fit perfectly. Was not form fitting and didn't "hug" the body. My 4 star rating was because it had a band at the bottom of the dress that wasn't stretchy so getting in a vehicle, going up stairs and dancing were slightly restricted

This is a fun dress... easy to wear. Length was just right and im 5'0. By the end of the night the material was kind of scratchy under my arms, but still worth it.

First RtR experience. The dress was as described by others. The arms were a bit scratchy. The bottom was a bit tight, but I have bigger thighs. I ended up going with my back up because of the tight thighs, I was going to be dancing all night. The 10 fit snuggly and the 12 was loose. I probably would have worn the 12 if I didn’t go with my back up.

I chose this dress for my work holiday party because it was affordable and also categorised as "bump friendly." I'm 5"2' and typically 110 lbs so I would have worn a 0 or 2. But at 21 weeks pregnant with twins (so belly basically measuring 25 weeks!) I was convinced I'd need a 6 or higher. Well that wasn't available...so I ended up getting a 4 and a 2 as backup. The 2 ended up fitting best!! Both fit my belly...this dress is very stretchy...and the sleeves fit better with the 2. There is that band around the bottom that makes maneuvering around somewhat difficult. But regular walking, sitting, standing, was not a problem. I only really noticed when climbing in and out of the car. Definitely recommend for anyone, especially preggers, and great price!!

Loved the dress! It was actually a backup sent after a shipping error but I ended up loving it more than what I ordered. I was 26 weeks pregnant for the event and really don't like any maternity specific clothing. This fit wonderfully around the bump and was comfortable too. I will mention, there is a very tight band around the bottom of the dress that made it incredibly hard to walk or sit (basically move at all). This band is not elastic and has zero give. I didn't feel like the dress was too small but the band might have been better if I wore a bigger size.

The material is fabulous and looks amazing - lots of tiny sequins in a great pattern and I got a ton of compliments. The cut is a little odd though - I frequently wear 6 or 8, but even the 6 was very big and loose especially around the waist and hips, while the hem was oddly restrictive. The tightness of the hem may be what made the bagginess around the waist and hips more noticeable. I didn't expect anything completely form fitting based on the style and material, but based on the pictures, I thought the waist would be at least slightly defined. Instead, it was very loose (comfortable at least) around the waist and hips while being noticeably restrictive around the hem when trying to take big steps or (as I think someone else mentioned) when going to the restroom where it was almost easier to take the dress off rather than pull it up. While I think a 4 might have been a better fit everywhere else (especially in the waist), I don't know if I could have been comfortable with a tighter hem as the 6 was already a little annoying. Still - gorgeous material, sequins, pattern - I got a ton of compliments. I wore it with a light black jacket when it was cold, gold heels, gold bracelet and earrings. Great dress!

Dress was snug, but comfortable. Also a hair longer than I would like, but not too bad! Definitely would use RTR again.

The fit was good, I agree with the other reviews with the itchy arms and the short length. I had to be really careful sitting down or else I would show a little too much of myself. I loved the way it fit in my chest, the girls were right where they needed to be and I didn't fall out or flash anyone! The dress made me feel sassy and sexy I would definitely rent another Hunter dress for sure!

Two things. 1) This dress was SHORT. I am 5'1" and, while it wasn't the worst standing up, it was very dicey to sit down in. 2) The sequins were very scratchy around my thighs. I will say, however, that it basically runs true-to-size. I had my usual fit problems -- the 4 was too tall in the shoulders, the 2 was too small in the chest -- but, c'est la vie, that's just my body type. The girls were definitely squashed in the 2, but we made it work okay. You'd be fine if you have, you know, more appropriate proportions. Okay, three things. 3) I felt RADIANT in the gold. My husband and I attended the black tie birthday party of a WWII hero, so everyone was about 30 years older than we were, and I was pretty much the only woman there not in black. We came in late, everyone turned to look at us, and the speaker complimented me from the podium. Youth -- and sequins! -- for the win. Oh yeah! And 4) This was my first RTR and I'm completely sold. So simple, so reasonable, so convenient. <3

I am usually a 0 or 2 in dresses. I thought the fit was better for me in the 0. Little loose in the lower back and hips on the 2. The 2 also had a band around the bottom of the dress which made it hard to walk and bend down.

This dress was perfect for my Repeal Day Party celebrating the end of prohibition. It was shiny yet classy. My only complaint was that it was a little tight in the legs, so I wouldn't recommend this to my "pear-shaped" friends.
