This dress was great for a black tie event. The style was very flattering and totally fit a black tie event. I’m 5’2 and had to wear at least 4 inch heels, and the dress still touched the ground. That was my only complaint. Definitely recommend!

I ordered 8R and 6R. I am typically a 6. This dress is cut quite straight so if you have a curvy figure consider getting one size up. The top may be a little loose if small chested. Beautiful gown, high quality! It worked beautifully for my black tie event.

This dress. I can't say enough about it. I wore it to a black tie wedding and it fit like a glove. I'm usually a 4-6, but in this case the 4 was perfect. I got sooo many compliments all night. If you're thinking about renting this dress, do it!

Runs a little small. I usually wear a 2, but the strap across my shoulder was really tight so I wore the 4 and was much more comfortable

This was absolutely perfect for a black tie wedding and I got lots of complements! The fabric is thick so it's super flattering and this size wasn't too tight on me. The one strap did dig in a little towards the end of the night, but totally worth it.

This dress fit like a glove, I took it to a wedding and it didn’t wrinkle in my luggage after a 3 hour flight! I love the design because it really flatters your figure and gives you a snatched look! The pic doesn’t really do it justice but it looks very classy and elegant in person!

This is the second dress I have gotten from this designer, and I love how they fit. The dress was structured just enough to accentuate all the right parts. I loved the flirty flutter detail and side slit. I wore this dress with heels, which were needed for the length.

I rented this as a backup to the dress I thought I would love, and this dress ended up stealing the show! It was SO comfortable, and really hugged my curves, while the ruffles covered what I didn’t want showing and added an awesome statement. I’ve recently gained weight and have felt uncomfortable, but this dress truly got me in my groove again! I felt so stunning and loved every picture of myself from this night!

This was my first RTR rental and I was nervous because (a) it was going to arrive the day before the event and (b) I had no backup available! I read reviews and selected the smaller of my two dress sizes (8) - glad I did so; anything bigger would have sagged. It was perfect for a professional black-tie-optional event and I felt sexy and sophisticated and age-appropriate. It is lined and the weight of the fabric really skimmed/hugged the curves in a great and flattering way without being clingy. Some other reviewers mentioned the length, but I am 5’7 and wore moderate 2.5” heels and the dress did not drag at all. The only issue is if you are planning on sitting (for example, for a dinner), the slit does come pretty far up the thighs. Be prepared to put a napkin across your lap and keep it there! Dress moved great for dancing, too. All in all, a really fabulous dress.

I’m 5’6” and 145 lbs. This was the perfect fit. I got a 3.5 inch heel that seemed to allow the hem to fall at a good spot. I was comfortable and could dance! Didn’t need any kind of bra either! 11/10 would recommend for a formal event!

I'm 5'4" and about 125- 36C. The 2 was great but I probably could have worn the 4 and been a little more comfortable. Either way, I got a ton of compliments and you cannot go wrong with Halston! This dress is unbelievably classy! I will probably rent it again!

I’m typically a size 4 and ordered both a 4L and a 6. The size 6 was too big and the size 4 fit great other than being a little big in the hips. I’m glad I went with the 4L as it was the perfect height with 2 inch heels. Overall it was perfect and I have no complaints! I was able to dance all night and I was super comfortable. I also received tons of compliments throughout the night.

Who doesn’t love a form fitting black cocktail dress? I wore this to my friends Wedding rehearsal dinner and it was simply perfect. I could have asked for a better fit - it hugs all of the right curves!!! Seriously wish i could keep this dress

At 6 months postpartum, I am heavier than my usual so I ordered this dress in 3 sizes. Of course the middle size, 12, was unavailable at the time of shipping. 155 lbs, ht 5 ft 5’. I could squeeze into the size 10, but it wasn’t very flattering. I would not have been able to wear a bra in the size 10. The size 14 was on the larger side, but I needed it to work as a bridesmaids dress. I was able to wear a bra with plenty of extra bust room. I used double sided tape to keep the dress in place so my bra wouldn’t show. The size 12 would have likely been the perfect size being postpartum. The dress made me feel great overall. It held up well during traveling. No wrinkles. Disappointed RTR had the one size suddenly “unavailable” at the time of delivery, but would still rent again.

I wore this to a black tie wedding and thought it was a great dress. It was true to size in my experience and was comfortable. The leg slit was just the right amount of skin and I liked the neckline. I was looking for a dress that would be comfortable to dance in and this was perfect!

Dresses arrived exactly when they were scheduled to. Good material to travel with, loved that it didn't get folded crease lines. Ceremony was outdoors and this fabric hid any perspiration that could have happened. A great option for a black tie/formal event in the summer. Got a ton of complements and felt great in this dress!!

I'm 5'3" 125 lbs and ordered a 2L and a 4R because 2R/P wasn't available. Both fit and looked great but the 2 was more fitting so I went with that. The 4R was about an inch longer than the 2L, but both were way too long for me even with 4 inch heels. I used removable scotch hem tape from Target to "hem" the dress and it worked like a charm. Would highly recommend!

I'm 5'9 and definitely needed the long version of this dress. I'm a size 27-28 and the 6 fit me like a glove! C or D cups might want to size up - I'm 34B and the dress was just perfect at the bust.

This dress was perfect for a wedding. It fits super comfortable and is well made. The material is on the heavier side, which was great for an outdoor spring wedding. The size 8 was on the tighter side, and the size 10 fit pretty well, maybe a little loose around the bust area. Highly recommend!
