This dress was a great fit, and the cape comfortably covers your shoulders for a little extra warmth in winter, but BEWARE, other review dont lie when they say the cape gets stuck on everything! I have to dock 2 stars for the fact that the banquet table chairs at this party forced me to pull the cape closed as I waddled around the room like a penguin holding it tight to me. As I was walking out the door to my party the dress snagged a doorknob and the doorknob ripped right through the flimsy fabric. Thank goodness it had two layers or else my night wouldve been ruined! Only rent this dress with extreme caution and the insurance...

Very comfortable and flattering

Loved this dress to wear to a bridal luncheon in October. The color is great year round but was perfect for fall. The length and fit were nice - fit was loose but there is no stretch in the fabric so it was a little snug around the booty/hips. The cape also kept getting caught on chairs and things (lol) but it didn't keep the dress from looking chic!

I wore this for a rehearsal dinner for a family wedding so I wanted a nice dress with a touch of class. This dress got a lot of compliments, fit me like a glove, and was so fun to wear. I highly recommend this dress for your event!

This dress was great for a September wedding. The cape made it unique and I received compliments throughout the night. It was very comfortable and flattering. It fit true to size and I could wear it with a regular bra. Renters beware - since the cape is attached to the bottom of the dress, it WILL get caught on anything and everything, from door knobs to chairs, even a night stand. That said, I would rent it again!

The fit is comfortable as long as you leave enough room for yourself in the bust and shoulders. The color and quality are great. It's a unique choice so be prepared to look classy and stand out. And definitely get some statement jewelry to go with it because it's a perfect canvas for fun accessories.

I was skeptical of renting a dress online since I normally have terrible luck when it comes to online shopping. However, the reviews and photos from real women really helped me find a dress that fit my body type. I am so, so pleased with the dress and my experience! I got several compliments on the dress. Highly recommended! My "problem" areas are my large chest and not flat stomach. I rented a 12 although I normally wear a 10 in dresses and I'm so glad I did! It fit perfectly across the bust. It wasn't too tight and it didn't smash my chest. The dress dropped straight down from the bust and covered my stomach area but didn't look like a potato sack. I only had to wear a light pair of stomach flattening spanx. It was so nice not to wear a full body shaping girdle. I was super comfortable all night - great for dancing! The cape is super modern and makes this dress unique. It does get caught though so give yourself a wide berth around backs of chairs, door handles, hooks, etc. The navy color is super flattering and would look good on lots of different skin tones. I wore it with black heels and purse which looked great for a formal wedding. I think it would also look great with turquoise or bright green for a less formal event.

The dress is very easy to wear. I am a little chesty (34DD) and it was a little snug in the bust area and also across the shoulders. I usually wear a 6/8 and this was an 8 so if you are going to pick an alternate size, I recommend you size up. I am also tall but this dress was not too short for me. The "cape" is attached and does not get in the way at all. It was a little confusing putting it on (there is a lot of material in that area), so pay attention to the arm holes and where the zipper is under the arm. I paired it with a great pair of neutral heels. I literally got compliments on it all night long. We went to dinner and then followed up at a wine bar and I had people stopping me and complimenting the dress.

Just watch the cape around door knobs, you can get caught!

Runs true to size. I'm usually a 6 but became an 8 over the holiday season. This dress is easy to get on and easy to accessorize. Normal bra worn and panties did not show. Killer shade of blue. Very flattering.

It is a bit awkward/tight in the shoulders and let me WARN YOU right now - where the "cape" connects to the hem is a Danger Zone and I often got caught on chair corners. Thankfully nothing damaged the dress but it did nearly trip me up a couple of times. That said, treat it like you're wearing a gown and adjust your movements accordingly. I wish I could have purchased it! I felt like a Cool Queen and a Superhero at the same time.

The fabric was thinner and more sheer than expected, and the blue was a darker navy than the picture looks. It was still a unique silhouette that can work for both semi-formal and business casual events. Renting it was a spur of the moment decision, but I felt pretty in the dress and got my use out of it. As a girl with a flair for the dramatic, who loves '70s fashion, this dress was amazing. The material was light and very high quality. The only reason I didn't rate it 5 stars was because it was tight in the chest and I couldn't wear a bra with it. That's not necessarily the dress's fault, though!

Another sophisticated style by Halston! I'm a big fan of Halston Heritage due to the amazing material that they use and this dress does not disappoint. I did find that the dress does run a big large and the 4 worked best for me despite the fact that I usually wear a 6 in this designer. I would recommend you size down if you are in between sizes. I love how the cape detail does cover your shoulders, which is so great for a formal affair in the colder months. I am a little insecure about showing my arms all the time, and I love that this dress helps me with that without losing how classy this style looks. Can't wait to rent this for a wedding or formal party!

This dress runs large. I am 34C and usually wear size 4 in dresses. The arm holes were too large for me on the 4 and I had to wear a navy bra to make sure it wasn't noticeable, but the cape/sleeve also helped conceal. I still liked the overall fit of the dress (better than the 2). I am curvy. If you are an athletic build, the size 2 would probably fit you better. Sorry no pictures. I forgot to take one before I left.

This dress was perfect for the late summer - early fall wedding I attended. The 'cape' portion not only proved to be helpful during the chillier moments of the outdoor ceremony, but also looked gorgeous when wind-blown. It is simple and sophisticated, which makes it suitable for a variety occasions. With that, I was wearing it to a wedding and felt it necessary to slightly dress up a bit with shoes/accessories. The dress is not constraining/tight, but the materials is rather thin, so you may want to consider that in choosing undergarments.

I knew dancing was going to be a big component of the wedding we were attending and I wanted a dress that was flattering (not too form fitting), dressy in a festive way, and easy to accessorize. This dress was perfect. It hit just above the knee and did not ride up when I sat down. The capelet was flattering and meant I didn't have to bring a shawl to ward off the chill of an unexpectedly cool evening. For me - all the dress needed were sparkly chandelier earrings, heels, and a colorful clutch. It was a very good choice.

This dress is fantastic! It was the perfect length and color for a woman my size. I have wide hips and it was still lose and flowy across them as the dress is meant to be. Another thing I love about this dress, it's great all year around. The navy color can really work for any season. Highly recommend!
