I definitely enjoyed this RTR. The slit was absolutely BEAUTIFUL and flowed amazingly all throughout the night. It was fun to hike up and show the leg off Angelina Jolie style. It made dancing much easier, and I can't say enough about how perfectly it kept its form. The rest of the dress, however, was kind of meh and boring. I tried to make sure every picture I took featured the slit because otherwise it was a little lackluster to me. The fit around the chest was a little tight and there is ZERO give so it's not going to give you that tailored look. I went up a size (usually a 6) to accommodate a 34DD chest. Otherwise the fit was pretty good, considering how structured it is. The neck buttons didn't fit the holes, so fortunately there's a clasp but it makes it look a little cheap/damaged when really, you just can't get the buttons through the holes. Not a huge deal but with my hair up/off to the side, there was a lot of people seeing the neck. I think the best way to sum this dress up is "what you see is what you get." An AMAZING slit detail that is super eye grabbing, but kind of boring everywhere else. That being said, at a wedding, you don't want to make TOO MUCH of a statement so it was appropriate.

Don't judge a dress on the hanger! I picked this up in store as a joke - when I tried it on I was delighted! This was me wearing the 4 - I'll be honest I'm a 6 on top and an 8 on bottom so was impressed I could squeeze into it! It was too tight around the butt so I rented the 6 - unfortunately then it was too loose around the waist! I was super sad I couldn't wear it because it's elegant and fun! Definitely give it a go - you won't regret it!

I originally thought the 6 would fit better based on reviews, but it was not available right before and I received gorgeous backup dresses and the size 4 which fit perfectly! Fabric is sturdy and well made, flattering in all the right places! Thanks RTR!

I wore this dress to a benefit auction for the hospital I work for. It is gorgeous! I received dozens of compliments and felt beautiful all evening! The fit is very true to size and the side slit is not too high. I wear a 34C and the chest area was a little small. This is one of my favorite RTR finds :)

I'm about 5'11" and it still swept the floor. The darts on the back hip, where your butt would be were still too high, around my lower back, which happens in just about every dress I wear, I'm a long person. The bust was slightly too large for me, but overall I was very pleased. I felt confident and would buy it if I could. Hey RTR that should be an option! The buttons on the halter neck were tiny and fragile, I was nervous the whole thing might disconnect and expose my torso. I was the event planner for a local fashion show in Vail called Project Funway and this was my dress for this event.

Absolutely loved this dress!!! And it was meant to be a back-up! If you have the occasion to wear this dress, you 100% should -- It was gorgeous and interesting without being a showstopper in a bad way. I received a ton of compliments (who doesn't love compliments?) and it was comfortable to dance in. It arrived perfectly wrinkle-free but after traveling it was a smidge wrinkled -- I just steamed it for a few minutes and it was perfect again. It was a bit long on me even when wearing 5" heels, but I'm used to that as someone barely over 5'. Is it true to size? Hard to say. I'm usually a 6, but I'm hourglass, so things always fit me a bit weird. On my figure, it was loose through the waist but fitted at the bum and the top. If I owned the dress, I would have had the waist taken in. The straps were adjustable, though, which was a huge help for someone who is shorter!!! Overall, super happy with this choice!

Loved this dress. I would have worn the 4, however I am a 32 DDD so wore the 6 to have some extra room up top (had some side boob in the 4). Well made, beautiful gown!

I rented this dress and the earrings for an award ceremony where I was blessed to win! I received compliments all night. It's elegant, fun, lovely & figure flattering. With so many unforgettable memories, it was hard for me to return it. Fit wise if you are a person that regularly wears size 4, but sometime wears the roomier 2--- a 4R will fit you like a glove-- that was my case-- I did order a size up just to be safe. I noticed this dress may be a bit tight/restrictive from the chest area if you are a cup C or anything bigger. I'm a cup B and had no issues, but the first time I tried this dress on I didn't need a bra, and cleavage stayed in place. I couldn't use a corset with an integrated bra either. The dress cut and the fabric alone helped flatter my figure. The day of the event I did wear Spanx & a strapless bra under it with no problem. P.S. The top part can be adjusted at the neck strap area.

I am 6 feet tall and wanted the 10 long but they only had the 10 regular or the 12 long. The 10 long was to short to even wear flats with, and the 12 was too big but allowed me to wear 4 inch heels. The movement of the dress was amazing and looked like a swirling dream in motion. Straps allow a halter or strapless bra, and the dress is easy on and off . Cons are that we live in hawaii and even and the night in the winter it is hot and humid and thank goodness our event was inside in air conditioning. Had countless compliments on this dress and I felt like a million bucks. Would absolutely recommend.

This dress is so fun and so beautiful! I must admit, I was a little afraid of the volume, but in person, it lays BEAUTIFULLY! The bodice has great structure and fit perfectly. The strap at the neck is adjustable, depending on your bust size. The chiffon ruffles had such great movement. All I wanted to do was walk around! I wore the 12L. For my 5'9 frame (and 4 inch heels) it was perfect. If I wore a smaller heel, I would have been tripping on the dress al night. Great for a black tie wedding or formal gala. It fits true to size, maybe even a tad large. Tall girls! This is a great dress for you!

Loved everything about this one. I could sit, stand, dance, eat, etc. I prefer not to go braless but this kept everything in place so I did. The satin touch is hard to see in the pictures but the material is great quality. The insert of color in the slit gave me a chance to add some pop to my jewelry in lighter hues to bring it in. Beats the ocean of black while keeping it classic. I opted to save it for a personal event instead of a work event since it is low cut. Personal choice though.

Absolutely beautiful dress. Halter top is a great fit. Don't need to wear a bra. The ombré slit is absolutely gorgeous. I was so sad I couldn't wear this. I'm 5'3" and even in 6 inch heels the dress was too long.

Chic multi-colored blue gown from Halston Heritage! Running large, we recommend going one size down for backup. This dress has extra room in the bust area, so it would work best for any cup size. The midsection of this gown is fitted, but the hip area is fuller and allows for comfortable wear. Due to the halter neckline, you can wear either a strapless or NuBra with this gown. I love the waterfall feature about this dress because it is fun, playful and flirty, but very chic. At 61” from the shoulder to the hemline, this gown is perfect for dressier occasions like weddings and galas. Pairing it with either nude, black or silver accessories will make this look a show stopper!

My first RTR and I was very pleased. I got both the 2 and the 4, both in long. The length was perfect with 2 inch heals. I went with the 2L as the 4L was too big in the top. I got many compliments and no one else had anything like it. Highly recommend it if you want to stand out among all of the black dresses at your next black tie event.

I wore this dress to a formal work function. It's a nice option for wanting to have a little bit of pizazz/sexiness without looking like you're trying too hard. It's also a nice option in that the leg slit really only goes to the knee- your upper thigh isn't hanging out (unless you want it to)! I will say you will likely not look like a stick in this dress- it is intended to flow and highlight curves, but is also extremely flattering. I've never received so many compliments! They were CONSTANT. Rental process and return could not have been easier. Also, I'm 5'6" 135 and wore the 8 regular with 4" heels. It was perfect. The 6R fit but the 8 was more comfortable.

The fit was a bit tight for me. I usually wear 6 but it was an awesome dress and I received so many compliments.

The gown is breathtaking. Unfortunately, it was too small, couldn't zip up over the bust.

I read other descriptions so I ordered an 8 and a 10. Unfortunately it dos not run true to size so I was unable to wear either to the event. The dress was beautiful but there is no room in the bust. I am a DD and was spilling out everywhere.

This was not my choice. The dress I selected wasn't available at the time of shipment. I'm a full bust and this dress fit horribly. Far more than just side boob was shown. I didn't really like the waterfall effect on the leg. Seemed very 80's to me.
