Great fit. Dress also has a built in bra which was great! I am a little taller for my size and the 2R was the perfect length.

Overall, I absolutely loved this dress and was so so sad to give it back. It was bold and graphic and elegant and absolutely stood out from the crowd. That being said, it ran really long. I'm fairly tall as it is (5' 8") and was wearing heels (albeit short ones) and the dress was still dragging on the ground. Going up stairs was an actual nightmare. Additionally, I had to keep yoinking it up throughout the night, but then again I have a pretty flat chest and that was bound to happen. Overall, it was absolutely worth the little adjustments throughout the night because I felt simply fabulous.

I fell in love with this dress while looking for something to wear to a friend's wedding and when I actually had the opportunity to wear it to a gala, I was not disappointed! I'm very petite so the dress did run long on me however, it didn't bother me. I received so many compliments and felt so gorgeous all night! Don't be afraid to wear the stripes!

The corset is snug but not painful and the pockets are a huge bonus. They only had a 2L at the Chicago shop, but I wore platforms and was totally fine. I'd give it more stars if I could. I'd also live in it if I could.

I wore this for my friend's wedding. In retrospect, it wasn't the best dress for a Labor Day wedding in Arkansas. It has a thicker fabric. However, the dress itself was stunning. It has a slightly higher than natural waistline which was very flattering and hung beautifully. It also has pockets! The bodice has boning which was great for most of the night, but by the end it was digging into my back. The only downside is the length. It was a solid 6 inches too long even when I was in 3 in heels. And that was the regular! Not the best for short girls. BUT, I still felt beautiful.

I actually bought this dress .. I wore a 6 but probably could have worn a 4 . It was super comfortable .I loved wearing it so much .

This was my first RTR experience and I absolutely loved it! I rented this for a formal wedding in Savannah, GA. It was perfect for the occasion, yet still very comfortable. I was even able to change into flats and dance without anyone noticing!

I felt beautiful and unique in this gown. It fit pretty true to size. I was nervous it would be to small given other reviews. It does run long. I ordered the 2P and am 5'3". Even wearing 5 inch heels it still was grazing the ground. I'm small busted so had ample room in the bust. The rib cage was pretty tight but not terribly uncomfortable. The pockets are a huge bonus. The dress is very well made and heavy materiel. It's the perfect mix of fun and formal! Would definitely recommend!

I wore a crop mid black top over the top because my 34 D breast were so squished but I love this dress pockets fabric style it's a bit heavy so good in winter with a small jacket. Classic

I loved this dress! I was hesitant about it at first because strapless dresses are not my favorite, but it was great. It has a corset type bodice underneath that holds the dress snugly in place. I love the pockets. Unlike most dresses, they are set a little lower than your waist, so they dont make your hips look big. Plus there is so much fabric in the skirt part that it hides the pockets too. Im 5'6 and wore my normal 3" heels and the petite just barely touched the floor. (Glad i got the petite) This dress would look great on all body types.

Wore this for my graduation from residency. I wore the 10 but wished I had rented the 12 as it was very snug. In retrospect, dress should be worn without a bra as it has built in chest/bust support. Also, with my 5'3" frame, the dress was too long but I didn't care!! It is a beautiful dress and I received compliments all night!! Would rent again......with some really high heels 😉

I absolutely LOVE this dress, I wish i could rent-to-own lol! I would say it fits true to size, BUT I ended up being in this dress for 6+ hours, and that being said, I think next time I'd get the 10 and the 12 to compare vs. the 8 & the 10. I'm 5'8 and 160lb, athletic body type, small bust. It fit, but after that long wearing it, and the environment I was in was a bit warm, my chest started feeling crushed a bit. I actually had to excuse myself for a bit and chill with the dress unzipped. I really think it's because I was in the dress so damn long, and I was overheated. The length was perfect, I wore 3.5/4" heels with it and it just grazed the floor. I love that it has pockets, and the shape of the dress is super flattering. I got a ton of compliments with this. I wore my hair up with a dramatic necklace, smokey eye & red lips. Fabulous dress, I will definitive rent again!

love this dress and the pockets - I got the 6L because the 6R was not available. It was pretty long but with the right platform shoe worked. It runs a little tight around the rib cage (it has a built corset) which although a tad bit hard to zip up made it perfect because it didn't fall down or budge. Love it!

I seriously felt like a princess in this. It seemed fashion forward but still a classic shape and appropriate for the military ball. I could've probably worn a 4 as I did have to keep pulling it up all night. (5'3", 125lb, 36DD, normally a 6, wore the 6R). The fabric was thick but the dress wasn't terribly heavy. The inner corset was helpful but I did spill over a bit more than I intended for a modest affair. The pockets were FAB to have and the length was spot on for my 4" heels. If you want lots of compliments all night, rent this dress!!

I am athletic/petite. This is dress was a show stopper and fit wonderfully! I wore high wedges/heels as it was pretty long. It has a lined top, so no need for a bra. Pockets are an added bonus and give a fun flair.

I fell in love with this dress the first time I saw it and just had to have it for my pirate themed vow renewal. It was perfect. I'm between a 4 and 6 right no. I ordered both sizes. The 6 barely fit. It took three people to zip it up with main problem being the boobs. I think I'm averaged size in the boob area but the picture might suggest otherwise with the way they are popping out. That said, once in, nothing moved, I never had to pull the dress up. The pockets were WONDERFUL. I'm 5'8", wore 3" heels and the R size was just right in length. I highly recommend this dress. I received soooo many compliments. Just order a size up.

I got word last minute that I was invited to a gala. I normally wear a size 8, but all they had left for the time I needed it was 6L. I gladly snatched it up. This dress is quite tight in the chest. I wear 34DDD, so zipping it up to the top was a challenge. I would have done much better with 8 or even 10. Now with the Long, it was very long. I'm 5'6" and wore the highest wedges I had and it was still trailing on the ground. That was fine to me because it added to the beauty of the dress. If you want to be complimented left and right and to garner plenty of attention and feel FABULOUS and drop dead gorgeous, get this. I was getting so many compliments I couldn't stop blushing. My all time favorite dress.

This was an amazing dress! I'm 5'9", and I wore 4" heels with the long size. The dress had quality fabric, a supportive built-in bodice, and best of all - pockets! The only downside was that the boning in the bodice stuck into my side just a little bit, but the dress was a tad too small for me anyway, so that's my own fault (I normally wear an 8). I didn't have to wear a bra but felt comfortable dancing all night long. I also received compliments all night long as well. I wish I owned this dress!

I'm 5'0, 90 lbs so a very small frame. The dress fit perfectly everywhere except it was too long. But hemmed it up with some hem tape and it was perfect. The material is thick and the dress is constructed very well. Got loads of compliments on it!

This dress is fabulous! It's made of a thick sturdy fabric that flows beautifully. I am 6'0" and wore 2" heels and dress still swept the floor. I ordered a 6L and 8L but only the 6L was available. It was very tight in the chest/rib cage area. I probably would have worn the 8L if it were sent but I decided to be a little uncomfortable in order to wear the dress. Received compliments all night and felt like Cinderella.

The skirt is full and the fabric is beautiful. I should have worn a size 2 but the zero fit without a bra. It was definitely snug though. Totally worth it since the dress was a show stopper!

Wore this gown to a black tie optional wedding, and was so happy with how everything turned out!! I have a small bust so I went with the 6R instead of 8R to keep it secure on top. It was the tiniest bit tight but I hardly noticed and danced the night away! I am 5'7 and wore 2.5" heels, length was perfect! Got compliments all night!

This dress does run a bit small, but the fabric is heavy, so as long as you don't have a bit bust I think you can get away with sizing down. The wiring in the dress was poking out and a bit painful, but beauty is pain. I rented this for a wedding, and I didn't end up wearing it, because there was a discussion that maybe it included too much white to be appropriate for a wedding. You can dress this up or down and it looks great. It is long, but with tall heels you should be fine. Great, great dress that is very flattering!

Pockets are great! Dress is heavy so beware if you are gonna dance that you will get hot. I could have worn the 8 bit the bust is tight so it doesn't fall Off

This dress is so beautiful and the heavy fabric makes it feel so luxurious. The pockets are great for storing lip gloss and phone. I rented this dress for my sister's wedding and it was absolutely perfect for the sister of the bride. I received so many compliments and was thrilled with my choice. However, I rented both sizes and normally wear a 2 but went for the 4 as I was trying to wear the dress up a little higher so that my chest was not revealed, and so that the length would be a bit shorter. However, the zipper broke on the wedding day and thank goodness the seamstress was there and sewed me in! Thank you to RTR insurance that everything was ok because I had to be cut out of the dress at the end of the night (just the zipper). I am a big fan of this dress and would highly recommend it for any fancy occasion!

Dress was super comfy, except a 2R may have been better. I got the 2L after reading reviews but it was super long... no worries though it was still fabulous! Didn't have to wear a bra - and POCKETS! I have never received so many compliments, and I rent a lot of dresses. Winner!

I loved this dress! SO many compliments throughout the night. The top was snug and maybe a little too tight for my liking, but the material is pretty heavy so I felt more comfortable knowing it wouldn't fall down. I did not need to wear a bra. I have NEVER EVER been able to say that about a formal dress! It was definitely long -- I'm 5'3'' and even with 4-inch heels, I had to hold up the dress when walking and moving up or down stairs. By the end of the long night, I did feel like the underwire was starting to poke a bit, but it wasn't too bad. Plus, who doesn't love pockets? I would definitely recommend this dress.

I could have worn either the 6L or my backup size which was 8R, but the 6 felt a bit more secure. The tightest area of the dress will be around the top of your ribcage. I like how it flares out so you don't have to worry about any tummy insecurities. I wore about a 2" heel with the 6L and the length was about right. The 8R was a little too short even with flats. The pockets were a fun touch.

Amazing gown! Wore to a summer wedding. Glad it was indoors because the material is very heavy. I'm 5'4" and 120 lbs. I typically wear a 0 and ordered the 0R. The top is VERY tight, fits like a corset and there is no give! You will need someone to help zipper you up. I'm not busty so I couldn't wear a bra. Not to mention, it wouldn't fit. Gown runs small so I HIGHLY RECOMMEND ordering a size up. The hidden pockets are deep and great! Great length as I wore it with 3 1/2" heels and it still brushed the floor. I received so many compliments -- even the wedding photographer asked for a private shoot. I highly recommend this gown.

Runs true to size. The built-in corset adds stability and form to your waist. Order up one size for backup.

I rented the 12L and 10L, ended up wearing the 10L because since I am pretty flat chested I felt more comfortable with it more fitted up top. I am 5'9" and had plenty of length to spare if I wanted to wear heels. Overall the dress fit like a glove, never once had to pull it up because it was falling down off my chest and I felt very secure in the dress with the nice thick fabric and the additional zipper/ corset within the dress.

Just enough length (I'm 5'9" and wore it with heels). The dress is heavy but has enough structure to be comfortable to wear (I just wouldn't wear it outside in the summer time).

Although I am reviewing the dress shown as rented in June 8th (which was stolen from my front porch so never even saw my closet), this is actually for the review of the dress I rented in April, but I can't find that order in my history to click on. I originally rented the dress in April to wear to see Swan Lake performed by Pacific Northwest Ballet and to attend the "after" party being held on the actual performance stage. I fell in love with the dress the moment I opened the bluck RTR shipment pack. I slipped the dress on and asked my husband to help zip me in. Everything was fine until we got to my bust, then the zipper split from the fabric But, becuase I loved it so much I made my husband take a picture of me in it anyway even though it wasn't fully zipped. I was so upset that I couldn't wear the dress that night that we switched our tickets to the next weekend and I rented an 8L in case it was my bust size that was making the zipper break, but then we didn't take any pictures. So, I ended up renting it again in June for the sole purpose of a photo "shoot" but that dress was stolen from my front porch before I even knew it was delivered. All that said, this dress was worth every bit of trouble. The only other time I have felt more glamorous was on my wedding day. As a final note if you are 5'9" or taller order the Long or else if you wear it with heels it won't fall right at the bottom. If it ever goes into RTR's Clearance sale I will be buying it!

The dress was very lovely, I received many compliments. The fabric is a very nice quality, heavy, but not oppressive, it hangs nicely from an empire waist. It has pockets which I used to 'bustle' it for easy dancing (see second picture) I wore it with 100mm heels and it didn't touch the floor, it was quite perfect! The fabric moves nicely when you walk, didnt wrinkle, I was very happy with it. It is a very classy dress. I don't like to overdo with sequins, patterns and glitter - this dress delivers with its bold stripe and simple neckline.
