I loved this dress! It was perfect for the black and white event! I wore the size up that I had ordered as a backup. The dress is beautiful, but note that the fabric is very heavy and has no give. It looked great, and I received lots of compliments. A perfect dress for any occasion.

I wasn't expecting the dress to be so thick. It was a bit tight in the hips but that was expected, the dress graciously flows so the black fitted under layer wasn't seen how tight it was (I ordered a size down bc of availability) could have work the 4 in the hips but I'm a pear and the 2 too fit perfectly.

If you don't know what to rent for a wedding, cocktail party, charity event, formal - just go with this. It's awesome in every way. The white, cape-like skirt is beautiful...shiny and formed so it maintains its shape but it moves well too. The black dress portion is flattering. If anything, it runs a tiny bit small - but ever so slightly, the 6 worked just fine for me. I might keep this for a few more weeks for a few other events (I have an unlimited membership).

Fit as expected.

This dress was rented for a masquerade ball. I was looking for an updated take on a formal gown, that was both elegant and comfortable. This was the perfect dress. I loved the look and received tons of compliments.

This dress fit like a charm! I am 5'11" so it's tough to find something that will work on my hourglass figure as well. It hid my hips but still had shape. Got a lot of compliments in a sea of designer gowns. Paired with a cute strappy black heel.

The dress was perfect for my work's Military Ball. I loved the layered look. It wasn't one of my favs, but definitely lived up to my expectations. For sure a safe choice when you're around a more reserved crowd.

Pro: heavy satin material, with little give so it makes everything look great and stay in place. This dress is quite formal to me, I wore it to a gala. I was working the event and truly appreciated a dress I did not have to adjust or fix all night. No stepping on my hemlines either!!!!Con: Runs just a tad small, so order an extra one size up.

Looks a LOT different on a woman with curves versus the stick thin model in the photos. Thank goodness for the bottom part of the dress, because it covered the areas where the black part didn't fit- either too tight or too loose in all the wrong places. I am also a 36 DDD bust size, and I couldn't breathe the entire night in the size 8. Was one of the most difficult dresses to zipper also, where the fabric met in the back. BUT the dress was beautiful, and I received a lot of compliments. If you are a bit less curvy, it's a dress for you.

Received lots of compliments on this dress. Had fun sifting my hands through the white overskirt, which separates from the black towards the bottom. Great for the dance floor because the skirt is so flouncy.

Fits like a glove, beautiful dress

The dress was comfortable and just the right length. The zipper was difficult to pull up on both the 6 & 8. So I ended up wearing the 8. I did not need any shapewear with this dress. It was a little big on the top for me.

I LOVE Halston Heritage brand. In fact, that is actually why I started renting from Rent the Runway. I just can't afford all that this brand has! This dress is fantastic. I am a wedding planner and I have worn it to two formal weddings. It is simply STUNNING! Stand out piece.

I wore it for an evening birthday party at a country club. It can easily pass for cocktail or formal based on how you accessorize. I work with simple pearl earring and black heels and it was perfect...a real show stopper. Strangers kept telling me how amazing it looked. With size, I'm anywhere from an 8 to 10 depending on cut. I'm 5'3" and 165, athletic build and a 36DDD bust. I usually have to size up because of my chest size. The 10 fit, but I honestly couldn't breathe. The 12 was a tad big in the waist but perfect up top. This dress is great for the larger chested and you can wear a regular bra! Rent this dress...you will be so glad you did!!

Lovely dress with good weight to it so hangs nicely. Fit true to size, although it is very fitted on top. The back is stunning with the white drape; received many compliments!

I wore this to a cocktail gala. Received many compliments from people I didn't know. Simple and elegant with a modern twist.

I ended up not wearing the dress, because it did not fit me. A size 12 would have been perfect. What I was unaware of, and maybe I missed it in the comments, was that the black and white portions of the dress are not one piece, I thought the dress to be more of an A line. The black portion is a pencil skirt and the white is more of a drape over your hips. I will be renting this dress again but in the correct size. It was well made, very good material.

I loved wearing this around a dance floor. It really fits the "twirl" name. I think I just ended up with a size one too small so sitting was just a tad difficult. Other than that it was an A+

This dress is beautiful and fit perfectly, but I didn't wear it because it was quite a bit more formal than I anticipated. The white is very heavy satin. This would be great to wear to a wedding or a company Christmas party, but it was just too much for a daytime graduation that I was attending.

I LOVE this dress. I wanted to wear it. But it runs small, particularly for Apple body types, and it wouldn't zip in the middle of my back. I had to exchange it.

I'm big on bottom so had to go with the 12. This made the top too big and had to layer with black tank under. Skirt is long and voluminous. Added weight to bottom.
