I wore this for my 8th grade dance and loved it! The body's a corset almost so it made me look supper slim. Only downside was with my larger rib cage I had a hard time getting it over them other than that it was a great dress

I wore this stellar dress to Carnegie Hall where I wanted to look classy with an edge. Immediately upon stepping on the subway platform someone complimented the dress. This was only the beginning of a night of compliments from people of all ages! I have a smaller bust so this was extremely flattering in that it provided a little bit of lift, almost like a corset. The skirt portion flairs out beautifully and the contrast of the white bottom to the black gives it just enough of a modern edge to make it a dress to stand out in. I paired it with a Rebecca Minkoff clutch that added some color and a bit of glam. I cannot emphasis enough how much I love this dress! It would be perfect for a wedding, cocktail party, or for a night when you just want to feel extraordinary.

This dress was perfect for the wedding we went to!! It fit true to size and was very comfortable! The dress is made of a very thick material, but doesn't feel heavy at all! It was perfect!

I loved this dress and felt beautiful in it. Was able to dance all night and got so many compliments. Now for the facts. This was the second dress from this designer I have rented and both times I rented a size 10. The first time the dress fit perfectly. However this time it was super tight in my chest. I originally tried to wear a bra but discovered I was unable to zip it up unless I took it off. Unlike a lot of dresses if was still loose in the stomach area so no worries about eating but no deep breaths were taken all night. I'm a size c cup but this dress might be suited better for smaller chested women. I recommend if you rent this one get a size up as your second option.

Loved the fit of this dress! It's true to size, but the bodice is meant to be very fitted. I didn't wear a bra with it, but the fabric and fit still added enough support.

Fits like a glove - no bra needed. The picture doesn't do it justice! Very comfortable, sturdy feeling fabric. I wore this for a winter dinner date and Broadway show evening and felt very appropriately fancy but not distractingly so. I ended up wearing true to size, but felt much better having a backup size one up from my usual. I have a very small bust and I still think it would not have zipped had I had another half inch on me, so keep that in mind.

I initially wanted a red or pink dress for Valentine's Day (so typical) but I ended up loving this dress. The fabric is beautiful and thick - it feels luxe. The bodice is fitted and the skirt flares in a very fun way. My husband loved it as well. It's flirty without being overt.

This dress is chic, classic, and so much wow. It fits wonderfully - I am wider through my ribs than my hips, and it fit like a glove. I usually fluctuate between a 4 and a 6 depending on the brand, and the 6 was perfect. I do suggest selecting the next size up as your backup, given that it is fitted through the chest. I wore the dress with strappy black and white snake skin heels and simple gold jewelry. I received so many compliments, and I honestly don't want to have to send it back! This is a GREAT dress.

Rented this for a night at the theater. Halston Heritage is always a good fit on me, this was no exception. The shoulder straps were a bit long because I have a short torso but I just wore a strapless bra and no problem. Very nice, I would recommend!

The dress fits perfectly. I ordered an 8 with a 6 as backup. The chest/waist is VERY fitted, so if that portion of a dress is often tight on you go a size up. I am a 34B bra size and there was a bit more room. Very comfortable, mostly a thick cotton blend so it was easy to steam and was warm despite being sleeveless. Comes to almost the knee.

Very tight on top. I border between a zero and a 2 so if you're bustier keep that in mind.

Dress has a pouf, but super fun for a wedding. I had to use my steamer to give it that extra pouf. Glad I did because I got so many compliments on how cute it looked.

Flattering to the figure but tight in the bust.

I absolutely loved the look and feel of this dress. The fabric is thick and a bit stiff, but that made the skirt hold its shape beautifully. It made my waist look absolutely tiny, which was wonderful, but came at a price -- I could barely breathe. There is absolutely no give with the dress, and I had to do some really fancy work with the zipper--taking the straps down to zip, and then lifting the straps back up. I have a 36DD chest, and as you can see from the photo, the cut of the dress put those puppies on DISPLAY. By the end of dinner, I was actually getting a little light-headed and had to unzip it as soon as I got in the car so I could take a deep breath. I would rent it again in one size up.

It was really tight at the bust area, I couldn't wear a bra with it but you couldn't really tell. If there where reviews of the dress at the time that I rented it I would have gotten a size 10 and up because it was tight. But I really loved the dress totally my style, felt like Audrey Hepburn for the night!

This was an excellent dress for NYE! I was so happy with it. The one point is that the skirt definitely goes out at the hips, so it drew quite a bit of emphasis over there. The flounces were fun to dance in, but aren't for the weak hearted!

The fit is snug at the waist but forgiving at the bust. The cotton fabric is almost like canvas..no bra needed. If you have an athletic body it will make you look fantastic. If not, the fabric is forgiving but will hold your midriff in. It has a side zipper up to your armpit, so get your size and one up to make sure you can easily zip it all the way up.

Wore this for daytime date on Valentines' weekend. This dress requires nearly no jewelry -- just a red lip can do! It's a poofier dress, but because of the slimming top, it worked great. Terrific silhouette, and would work on different body shapes.

Had I not been trying on dresses in-store, I would have gone with a 12, so I definitely recommend sizing up. The dress was snug in the chest area, but since I am large chested, I expect that with every dress. I NEVER wear a dress without a bra, but I was able to with this dress since it was so tight up top (and it fit and looked better without the bra!). The specific dress I received probably needs to be retired, it was very warn (lots of white distress/aged areas along the seams). Luckily, we were in a dimly lit area so the wear and tear wasn't noticeable.

Ordered a 2 with a size 4 back up. The size 2 was damaged or otherwise unavailable, so RTR replaced it with another dress. I received this dress in a size 4 and the other dress also in a size 4. I am new to RTR and still figuring out my size. When this dress was too large, they agreed to replace it with a third style. Wish I could have worn this dress, so I am going to try to rent this dress again in the correct size. I love the silhouette. The material is very thick and does not stretch, which I prefer because it holds everything in without shape wear. I give 4 stars instead of 5 only because the material was a little bit faded.

I ordered the dress to wear to a matinee at the theater. The dress was very nice heavy fabric looked good except... I ordered an 8 with a back up 6 and should have ordered a back up 10. It fit everywhere but the chest, I couldn't even get it zipped up. If you're busty I would say order big.

I fell in love with this dress online and rented it for a formal event at my law school. I'm usually a 6/8 in dresses and I couldn't fit into either! I was so disappointed! The fabric has NO stretch or give at all. I have a big chest and this was NOT a good cut for me. Although the hips are really forgiving, the bodice of the dress is just very narrow. I would recommend for someone who is narrow in the ribs with a smaller chest. Also, the fabric looks different in person than in the photos: not as shiny or crisp. I was thick with kind of a matte appearance.

The full skirt of this dress was really fun and added a modern touch to a classic dress. If you have an hourglass figure prepare to have your shape played up in the best way! One word of advice was that the bust was really tight. I am a full C cup and always need to wear a bra, but I didn't in this, in fact, with the bra I could barely zip the dress and had WAY too much cleavage. But I just went braless and was fine. My only critique was the dress felt a little worn--the black seemed a bit faded and it was threading on one of the shoulders.
