Comfortable and fun dress. Wore a regular bra. Was a little long so wore very high heals. Many complements!

I rented this dress for a wedding I was performing at. I went with the 0P and it fit well. The shape is great and it has a lot of movement. Depending on the brand I usually wear 0-2. It also has some stretch to it which really helps. I probably will end up buying the dress just to have since I play a lot of events/concerts. Would recommend!

The 4R was a perfect fit. I am 5'0" and 125 lbs. I wore 4" heels and the dress just touched the ground. I felt like a princess all evening and received so many compliments. You can wear with/without a bra. I wore a black bra...no issue as it blended with the pattern on the back. Do yourself a favor...rent this one!!!!

Pros: This dress is gorgeous! It is very comfortable and flows beautifully. The cut is extremely flattering, it has a high neck, but not too high. The material is comfortable and silky. It definitely has a glamorous, rock and roll feel to it. I honestly loved everything about this dress. And the back is a total show stopper!! Cons- the 4 was a little big on me, and my back up size wasn't available. I think because of the cut of the dress it looked fine, but I could have worn a 2.

This dress is my favorite rental so far! It was sexy, elegant, and fun all in one. I received a lot of compliments. I usually wear a size 2 and the 0P was perfect. I am 5'6" and wore 3" heels; the dress almost touched the floor but the 0R would have been dragging. This dress is forgiving with love handles. It fits snugly enough that you don't have to adjust or worry about a wardrobe malfunction but it's also a comfortable fit in the belly area that you can eat a good meal and not look bloated.

This was actually my back-up dress. I ended up wearing because my original choice was too long, but this one ended up being perfect! I wore to a school fundraiser, so I needed something more on the conservative side. The asymmetric hemline and the back kept it fun though. The fabric was heavier than I was expecting, which was a plus. I wore pasties underneath, but it was thick enough you could probably get away with nothing if you wanted. The design on the back is also intricate enough to hide a black bra if you want the extra support. So sad to send it back!

I was 5 months pregnant and was happy that this dross had a bit of give for my bump. I really loved the lace detail in the back!

It's feminine, figure flattering and elegant, and so unique. Definitely a stand out dress! I wore a backless strapless bra, so as to not take away from the detail on the back. My husband said it was his favorite dress ever!

It runs a little big in the bust so going down a size would have been better for me but overall - perfect! I would buy this dress today!

It was truly a perfect fit. Tailored to the waist, quality fabric that falls perfectly. I wore low beams instead of a bra and that was great coverage with the open back. The back is stunning and some simple acessories look great with it. I wore a 4R, usually a 6. A 6R would have been huge. I was a t a wedding of 40 people and 10 people came up to me and raved about the dress. So, 40% of the people complimenting is pretty darn good. Very comfortable. Very flattering. Just perfect.

This dress is great material. High quality and fit true to size for my curvy/athletic figure. It was great to dance in and loved spicing it up with my pink shoes and eklexic bracelet. Wish I owned this beauty. Would totally rent it again!!!!

I was very impressed by this dress from Rent the Runway. I wore the size 12 and it fit VERY well. I was worried about wearing the sticky bra, but because the dress is cut so well there was support from the dress as well as the sticky bra. It was snug getting it zipped up, but as I wore it I felt comfortable and supported. I'm a 36DDD and had enough room in the bust. The length was perfect for me, even with heels and I loved wearing something with the detail in the back. Perfect dress, perfect evening,

Awesome dancing dress, makes you feel fantastic! Thick material but well made. I have crazy pictures from the gala of me dancing on stage everything was awesome! Also, my dress size is an 8 but the 6 fit perfectly fine. I have a small bust and 42' hips so those measurements might be helpful for other ladies with curves. = )

Was wanting to rent this dress for sometime now. I wore it to an afternoon wedding. It fits great all over. I got lots of compliments on it because of the interesting back design. It flows really nice too and not heavy.

It does run slightly big, enough that if I had ordered the 4 I would probably wear it. But the 6 fit just a little loose by my chest. I got a ton of compliments on this dress, and I would rent it again for another occasion!

Although the back is beautiful, my favorite part of this dress was the lay. The fabric was heavy and very high quality. It wasn't skin tight (which I was happy about) but because it laid so elegantly it was extremely flattering. The bottom was gorgeous and it was a blast to dance in. I wore a nude bra and you couldn't tell a bit. Loved this dress!

Fit was true to size and super-flattering! The front of the dress is conservative, and the exposed right leg balances out the look. The back of the dress is totally unexpected with the laser cut detail. I got a ton of compliments on this dress and felt fantastic all night.

I wore this dress to my grandfathers annual black and white party, it was perfect! Everyone loved it! I love the asymmetrical hemline and the detailing on the back. Since part of the back is see through I wore a strapless black bra and it looked like it was apart of the dress. It was so comfy and breathable (there was lots of dancing). This dress does fit true to size and has a little give in the fabric. Definitely recommended :)

Absolutely LOVED this dress. It's a perfect party dress. You can dance the night away, be comfortable, and still be the most elegant in the room!

I never would have taken the chance on this dress and ordered it online without trying it on, but was able to go to a store and try it on and loved it! It's not super easy to wear since the back detailing makes wearing a bra difficult and the length might be a bit long on some. The real beauty in the dress is both the back detailing and how it moves, I've never worn a dress that was so much fun to twirl around in! It looked very sophisticated at my formal holiday party and I would definitely wear this dress again.

I wore this dress to a formal black tie gala and it was perfect - it's understated and classy, but at the same time fun and interesting with the asymmetrical hem and unique back (which by the way isn't entirely open, the design is sewn into a mesh-type material). The material is heavy but forgiving, making it very comfortable and flattering (and doesn't wrinkle!). I'd definitely rent this again!

Loved this dress! So fun and perfect for giving a talk in. The asymmetrical hem worked well given that I'm tall and it didnt look short. I wore a backless and strapless bra which worked well. I could probably have gotten away with a nude bra but it would show through in the back. The dress was only a little loose but you couldnt tell because the cut was great.

I want to be married and buried in this dress; I seriously fell in love. The cut is very flattering and the skirt has a great"twirl" factor that is great for an event with dancing. I had to wear a backless bra and tape, so I'm not sure about the people who went without.

I wore the 12R and it was slightly big in the chest area and I'm a 36D. The 10R was too snug. I was comfortable and I loved the length. You'll need a strapless bra but can wear regular panties if you want. No lines show through.

Less is more with this comfortable and unique classic black dress. Pair with diamond earrings, diamond bracelets, ring and the right silver sandals and you've got an elegant dress for that gala! Stretchy fabric is forgiving and comfy. Wear your hair up to show off the unique embellished back! (Go bra less!) the hemline is gorgeous & adds to the felinity and flow of the dress! I will definitely rent this one again! Lots of compliments too!

The dress fit wonderfully well for off-the-rack. I do wear a size 4 normally, but I'm short and flat-chested, so I'm used to clothes fitting me a bit long and a little loose under the arms and in the chest. This dress was no exception, but as you can see from the photo, it's no big deal. I wore a clear strapped bra to fill me out a little and so straps wouldn't show through the cutouts in back. The crepe material made it easy to wear, no wrinkling. Overall, a very appropriate and unique dress for a formal occasion. People commented on how young it made me look!

LOVED, LOVED, LOVED everything about this dress! The back is super unique and sexy. The high-low effect allowed for me to show off my legs but still have a "long" dress. The shortest part fell just at the knee and the longest part would have touched the ground without any shoes. I wore 5" heels with it. I wore a Nu-bra with it which I had never done before. The dress was nice a fitted at the top so the bra smoothed things out while the dress kept things in place. I danced all night without any worries and I'm fairly busty. I highly, highly recommend this dress if you are looking for something a little edgy and different without being loud. I think you could easily dress this down for a semi formal affair with different jewelry and shoes.

This was dress was sent to me as my second choice since the dress i initially wanted was damaged :o( Because the stylist couldn't find the color i originally wanted i opted to go safe with a black dress, and I'm glad they offered me this one!!! An absolute stunning and elegant dress! Simple but made a HUGE statement. I loved the flow of the dress and the length to highlight any fabulous pair of shoe, if you're a shoe fanatic like I am! Very comfortable dress to move around in, and OMG the back of the dress just GORGEOUS!! All in all and hands down i couldn't have received a better replacement. Actually liked it better than my original choice! Will definitely rent this dress again!!!

Black dress with a twist... Loved the hemline, the heavy fabric and the dramatic back. Found a great statement necklace which I think the conservative neckline needed. Probably could have gone with a size 4 (might run a little big) but it's very forgiving size-wise.

The fabric was a nice weight, lined. and had a full flowing skirt (great for twirling!). I recommend not wearing a bra with this dress so you can show off the back detail. It was snug enough with just a little stretch that I didn't need one. The A-line cut was so flattering. This dress is gorgeous with just the right amount of edge.

Wore for a gala event and was formal enough among others in long sequin gowns. From the front it is pretty plain but the high low cut of the dress is beautiful with nice heels. The back has a mesh type detail that pretty and makes the dress more formal and not just a plain LBD. I was able to wear a normal bra. I wore nude so you can see the detail of the back still. I actually purchased this during a sale and am glad to have in my closet forever because I see it getting use over the years!

This dress fit like a glove and it was so fun to dance in! It was elegant and sexy, but I didn’t feel like I was over doing it. Since I’m a pear shape, I was able to size down. I’m usually a 8/10 on the bottom. The mesh back had some wear on it, so it didn’t had that “new” feeling. But I loved the dress anyway!

I wore this dress to a friend's wedding and got compliments the entire night. The lace detail on the back of the dress is interesting, the color allows you to be versatile or daring with shoes/accessories BUT the CUT of the dress is the best feature. The dress flowed and "swung" perfectly for the right balance of sophistication and sassy. The only con: a little too long for me (I'm 5'3)-- and I stepped on the long tail of the dress a few times while dancing.

I wore this dress to a "black tie preferred" (whatever that means) event. I was hesitant to wear black because I usually opt for flashier ensembles, but I didn't know anyone there, so I played it safe...but not too safe! This dress has a little something extra with the asymmetrical hem and cut out in the back (which I think is a koi fish?). I tried on my usual size 8, but, like other reviewers have mentioned, the 6 fit better, thanks to the free hip measurement. Where previous reviewers led me astray, though, was in the undergarment department: I definitely needed a bra for this look. The fabric is thick and certainly not see-through, but there just wasn't enough boob squishage to make me feel comfortable going without one. I ended up wearing one of those stick-on bras with the clear sides and it worked perfectly. And speaking of undergarments, I was worried that the top of my high-waisted chonies would peek out the bottom of the back cutout, but they were fine. I felt comfortable and fabulous all night!
