I wore this dress for a Navy dining out. I ordered a size 6 and size 8. The size 8 ended up fitting the best even though I normally wear a size 6 in dresses. It was super comfortable, but there is no stretch to the fabric. I would definitely rent this dress again.

I usually wear a 12/14, and this dress was just a teeny bit big in it's 14, but that also meant I could move, eat, and drink without a single worry about how it'd look in photos! The color was elegant and stunning yet didn't make me look crazy in a sea of fashionistas in black dresses. The neckline of this dress is beautiful, the bodice comes in nicely around your waist while the flounce in the skirt really gives you an hourglass shape. I have no regrets on wearing this dress to my event!! Oh, also, the material is a little thick, so it was perfect for a winter event in a city where you walk everywhere.

The dress is beautiful but looks very different in person (better) than on website. Runs true to size to large. Got lots of compliments!

I chose this dress because I was looking for a fun dress for a wedding I was attending. And this dress delivered! I ordered the 12 and the 14, I went with the 14 because it's a very structured dress and the 12 wouldn't zip over my 36DD Tata's. I wore spanx stockings, but the brocade material is so thick I didn't really need shape wear. I was not a huge fan of how the skirt sort of belled out on the bottom, but I got over it. The skirt hugged all my curves, and accentuated my hourglass figure. It was also comfy! I got tons of compliments, people told me that I had the best dress of the night. Except for the beautiful bride of course! I would order again or even buy this dress!

I am 6'1 and am always worried about short party dresses, but this was amazing. True to size, there is little give in the back zipper for stretch but the 10 fit me perfectly. Just enough cleavage and perfect amount of leg, and I was never afraid of my butt showing. Gorgeous color for a redhead (I was told), felt like the prettiest girl in the room!

This dress was fun to wear and very comfortable. The picture does not do the color justice. I would describe it as closer to a vibrant peacock blue. The skirt seemed fuller on me than the photo-almost looking a bit like a bubble skirt. I paired the dress with opaque black tights and booties and had many compliments. Will most likely rent again for another event!

I really loved this dress, I wore it for a wedding and it was comfortable and fun to dance in. I am usually a size 2 but most of the reviews said it ran big and they were right....the 0 fit great. It's a beautiful color for fall....although there was much debate about if it's green or blue! .... Either way it's a great color and a really well made dress!

The only con was that the top of the dress isn't very roomy for my really busty girls. I had to go up a size.

This was a really fun party dress, reminded me vaguely of the 80s with the neckline, sleeves, and full skirt. The material is heavy which is great for fall, and a really pretty color. Fitted through the body, very true to size.

The dress fits true to size. It fit snug but not uncomfortably so. The blue lace is lighter than the model's photo but it is perfect for a fall/winter occasion. It is easy to get, sit, and dance in. When I first tried on the dress, I was a bit hesitant at how loose the shoulder area felt but thankfully, the dress had shoulder snaps to secure onto your bra. It was perfect! The shoulder area did not slip at all. Great first time rental experience!

Fun dress! The fabric is very thick and sculptural. The fit was great but the zipper is very tricky! It wasn't tight at all yet I needed two people to help zip it! Once on-I loved it! The skirt is very voluminous which I loved but others might not! The sleeves are very flattering. I went to a Disney character dinner in this and fit right in.

PS I have no idea why this photo came outall "two-face".... don't trust strangers with your phone camera :) Def size down if you are a pear shape - I am an 8 (with slightly bigger shoulders) and the 6 was still too big, gaping over my neck/shoulders. I do have a size 6 waist and there was plenty of room to size down. The bottom is a lot more "bubble" than the picture. We ate out at a really nice restaurant for a date, and the waitress said a number of patrons had commented on how beautiful the dress was! Made my night . Will def buy a dress with the same shape up top :)

I rented this for a masquerade holiday party. It was slightly large and a little too long, but I am petite so it's kind of hard to find anything that fits perfectly. The bubble skirt poofs a lot along with the shoulders which made it feel a little 80's. Overall, a good choice. I got tons of compliments.

The fabric is not stretchy at all however the fit is very comfortable and very slimming through the torso. I used fashion tape at the shoulders and that worked perfectly to keep the dress from slipping off of my shoulders. The skirt is more of a balloon style than is pictured on the model. This was not my RTR choice as the dress I chose was damaged and not available,.The RTR staff chose this dress for me. I typically choose a black dress for myself so this was a fun deviation for me.

This dress is very beautiful in person, but a bit different than what I had expected. First of all, this baby runs big! I wore the size 2 (I am usually a 4) and it was still a bit baggy in the waist and shoulders. The skirt is a bit more bubbly/structured than it looks on the model, but the fabric is thick and luxurious so it fell nicely.

This dress is pure fun - the bubble skirt was amazing - it was so extremely comfortable and just all around fun! Love Halston. The top ran a tad big, but then again I have no chest...

The skirt was a bit poofier than I thought, but overall, for an outdoor, fall wedding, the heavy material was perfect. The green is also pretty shiny, but I was getting compliments all evening. This dress has no stretch and is fitted in the torso.

Perfect dress--got so many compliments! Hugged torso and waist, but balloons at the hips, so it is flattering, elegant, and fun all at once--ideal for an artsy event. (You can't quite see it in this photo, but I wore a teal and green feather fascinator!). The length was just at/below the knee; I wore a tall Chie Mihara heel, carried a vintage black silk purse, and wore teal earrings & ring. The dress has a fairly deep V in front and back; this is more cleavage than I usually show, but it seemed right for the look. Again, ideal for that kind-of-but-not-quite-formal event; this is also a dress that could be worn in almost any season (pair with black stockings and heels in the fall, say). I bought this dress on clearance, and it was a steal. Halston for $38?? Thank you, renttherunway! My first experience, and definitely not my last.

I have a small bust and fuller hips, so this was perfect for my frame. I am also 5'11" and it was not too short. I wore it with opaque black tights and black booties, as it was a winter event.

Not as tight through the chest as I thought it would be, since it was a size 2. Hung nice, fabric amazing, It was very comfortable and classy. Perfect for the event and age appropriate, best trait, not frumpy.

I could have wore the size 2 but I decided to go with the size 0 since it was more form fitting. Size 0 fit better in the shoulders and waist

This dress was so awesome I hated to send it back. I wore it to fashion week fashion show and it was super fun and flattering.

This dress was fun and unique - I received a lot of compliments. I felt comfortable and thought the dress was very flattering in the waist and around the arms. The skirt was a bit fuller than I expected, but still cute and flirty. Also, the dress appears lighter/more colorful in person than pictured. A great party dress overall. It did run large, so I would recommend going down 1 to 2 sizes.

I loved how I felt in this dress. I thought it made my waist look small. It's hard to tell in the stock photo, but in person, the dress has more of a bubble skirt. The sleeves were a little puffier, too. Both details I personally really liked. However, it was way too tight in the bust and offered no stretch, so I was unable to wear it. I would recommend this dress for girls with a curvy waist and smaller bust.

So I've managed to juuuuust edge myself out of my usual size 6, and judging off of the past reviews, I was really scared I would need the 4, but nooo....I BARELY fit into the 8! So I don't think it runs large at all. If anything it's true to size, maybe even runs small...but I'm not entirely sure yet. lol The dress really accentuates your waist, so if you have waist that you want to show off, you're in luck! Otherwise, you may wanna invest in some Spanx or choose another dress. The bubble skirt had me bouncing like a kid around all night, and the low neckline may have been a little much for the church mothers at the event, but it happens when you're a C+ cup. Overall I really loved this dress..it was perfect for a holiday party.

I wore this sweet little dress to a friend's semi-formal fall wedding. It was perfect for my purposes: comfortable, elegant, and understated - yet just whimsical enough to be fun! The full skirt and cap sleeves elevate the style of the dress without being over-the-top. I wore the Size 10 because the Size 8 was very tight in the bust. If you are at all busty, do size up for your backup dress as there is no give in the chest. The waist is true to size and the hips are free. The fabric is very heavy, making it perfect for cooler weather events - and for skimming one's curves! I would recommend this dress for any semi-formal holiday party.

I rented this dress for a Christmas party and it was not what I expected at all; I ended up not wearing it because of how poofy the dress is (especially the shoulders). I felt like I was wearing a dress that belonged in the 80s.

I rented this dress for my birthday. I was not able to wear it. It definitely runs big, the bottom part is extremely puffy (not like the picture. Probably that times 2). The color was pretty, but lighter than the picture. If you order do a size smaller than usual.

The dress was more or less TTS, though I found the 10 to be a big snug. Aside from the fit, I would not have worn this dress because it did not look at all like the picture. The color was a much lighter green, the skirt was shaped more like a bubble skirt on the bottom, and the shoulders puff out way more than pictured. It looked like a goofy dress I would wear as a joke to an 80's themed party. RTR customer service, however, was spectacular as always. I returned the dress right away and they credited me promptly.

This fit me very well--fitted in the top and waist, a line at the hips, which works well on my hourglass figure. Wore it with a statement necklace and got a lot of compliments. It is green, and the color popped next to all of the little black dresses and black suits!

The fit, cut and style are fantastic and enhance my rocking curvy body. It also was like new with no evidence of it ever being worn before which was fantastic as well.

It stood out without screaming "look at me".
