Fit Like a Glove
I'm 5'4 and 120 pounds. I normally wear a 2 so I'm glad I went with my true size. I loved the snug, fitted feel of the dress, I didn't even have to wear a bra with it. I thought it was a classic piece to wear to the a black tie Gala I attended for a work event in Chicago. My favorite part of the gown was the skirt, I didn't want to stop twirling around in it all night. Overall, the dress was a hit!

I thought I was size 4 but 2 fit me like a glove
I am 5'8" and it was still kind of long with 4" shoes. Still got lots of compliments and felt like a princess

Everything.
Pro, the dress was absolutely stunning and felt elegant. Con, it was a bit big in the waist which gave me a p;goofy tummy look (which I do not have). I would have preferred a 0R considering how small my frame is however the 2R fit well considering and wasn't noticeably too large. With high (high) heels it was almost the perfect length which is also very difficult for me to find most of the time.

Gorgeous!!!
Oh my goodness. This dress is fantastic! I usually wear a size 4 and the 4R fit perfectly except for the straps which I just pinned up a little. The fabric is heavy so I wouldn't recommend it for a summer affair. The wedding day was 76 degrees and I did feel slightly warm at times. I thought the dress would be shiny but it is not so I was pleasantly surprised since I really didn't want a satin shine. Easy to dance in I wore flip flops at the reception and the length was still perfect. First time trying Rent the Runway I was nervous since I didn't have another dress option. But I must say I am thrilled I took the Rent the Runway plunge. I am addicted.

Obsessed. Fit perfectly.
I'm close to 5'10" and don't wear heels less than 3 1/2", so I'm always nervous about length of formal dresses, but this was perfect! Wore to a masquerade ball, was great for dancing and twirling. It is a heavier fabric -- I actually thought RTR mistakenly sent a beaded dress when I received it -- but I wore it in the winter so I was thankful for a little extra weight.

Great dress.
The bodice is fitted so it brings out curves in a modest fashion. The color of the fabric seems a little fuzzy because of the cotton and satin mix, but it shows up on pictures with a little shine and not fuzzy at all. It was a fun dress and I paired it with a red, patent leather low heel. My feet were covered so I didn't see the need to wear a high flashy shoe.

I wore this dress to a ball and I absolutely loved it. I had previously worn this exact dress in pink to another ball so I knew it would be perfect, and I was right. Extremely comfortable. Extremely flattering. I was complimented all night and for days after. Perfect dress!

The fit and classic styling.
This dress fit like a glove on my 5'2" 109lb frame. With 4" heels it perfectly skimmed the ground. It was nice to be classic in a sea of tacky glitter gowns . The event was a black tie wedding in Palm Beach and I felt appropriately dressed for the occasion. I'm a very straight framed person and this gown gave me curves ! Everyone complemented the dress for how well it fit. It was a thicker fabric good for a chilly December wedding. #blacktie #classic #hourglass #petite

This was a replacement dress as the wrong dress was shipped, but I couldn't have been happier with the dress. I wore it to a black tie masquerade and it truly accented all curves perfectly and was absolutely stunning.

OMG THIS DRESS. I LOVE IT. AMAZING. AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING.
HOWEVER - it is HEAVY. It's definitely up there with the heaviest things I've ever worn. And it's REALLY long - even with 3-inch pumps on, it still dragged several inches onto the ground so I had to carry the skirt around when I walked most places (stairs were really hard! - I was still able to drive in it though, which is astonishing!). I ordered a 6 as a backup size just in case and I didn't even need to open that one - the 4 is *almost* perfect, except for the length. Be advised that you need a really specific kind of bra with this gown, because the back is pretty low. It was also a bit hard to zip but I got around that by closing the dress in front and then turning it around and putting my arms through, the way I put on my bras - but if you have a wider torso, this might not be an option for you. Also, the material isn't what it looks like in the picture - the photos make it look like a shiny, sort of silky dress - the inside lining is, and it actually found the lining to be prettier than the outside. The actual material is thick and not quite completely black, more like a charcoal, and the double stitching around all the seams is visible. All in all, I still give it 4 stars. I'd give it 4.5 if i could, because except for the length (there should be a petite size for this, PLEEEASE) it was just glorious. I wore it to a black tie gala at work, and it was exactly what I was hoping it would be. Would absolutely use RTR again and would hands down rent this dress again - I felt sexy and glamorous and it was FUN and I didn't want to send it back!

The dress made me feel like a princess and fit like a glove! Hugged my curves perfectly.
The dress was beautifully shaped and very flattering. I'm short (5'1") so it was a little long, but I made up for it with high heels. The only issue was that the straps were a bit loose because I have smaller shoulders, but it was such a tiny issue that it didn't matter. I thought I might need spanx with this dress but I didn't because it was structured and smoothed out all the bumps I'm self conscious about. Overall, I was very pleased with the dress and the service.

Lots of compliments, very slimming
I got a lot of compliments on this dress! I ordered the 2L and the 2R cause I was pretty sure the 2 would fit but I wasn't sure about the length. I'm 5'4 so I thought the regular might be fine but if you're planning on wearing heels I would definitely get the long cause it's a little short. My chest is really small and it was still really tight so if you have a larger chest it might be a little rough. Really great dress overall though.

This dress was nice, but the fit was a little off
This was one of my back up dresses and I didn't actually wear it to the event. I am 5'6" and 126 lbs and rented the 2R. The fit was pretty nice, except for the length. I am barefoot in the picture and you can see my toes peeking out of the bottom. There is no way I could have worn this with a heel of any sort and even flats would have looked weird. Also, the torso area was a little short too and I had to pull it down to make it look normal. I think if I would have gone with the 2L it would have been pretty and a nice fit. The material is very heavy. I did love the neckline and top of the dress. If you get this one and you're 5'6" or above, go with the long!

DANGER - Curves Ahead
I wore this to a company Christmas Party. The silhouette of this gown is incredible, designed by someone who appreciates the female figure to be sure. The only reason I didn't give five stars is because on my 5'7" frame this dress barely hit the floor, but I wasn't complaining in my fancy flats. Also, a note to my busty ladies - this was a little difficult to zip up around the chest area. Definitely go up a size! INCREDIBLY FLATTERING. (photos taken at the end of the night)

I had a very pleasant experience with this. I loved the dress and it looked just like the pictures. My only annoyance was that the fit wasn't really described in the link to the dress and I would say it is worth mentioning that it is very fitted through the bodice. I usually wear a 6-8 and I ended up picking the 8 which worked out fine but I kind of think I would have been more comfortable in the 10. I would definitely suggest sizing up. I wore the long and had on 3.5 in heels and it worked nicely.

I felt gorgeous in this dress!
This dress was incredibly fun to wear. The skirt flows out and has structure to it and it's really heavy! The major con to wearing this was that due to wear and tear from previous renting, the pieces to hold the bodice together was coming apart and was scratching me to death! I used some gaffer tape from the caterers to tape me in because I was in horrible pain from it. Once taped, I was good to go! Sizing is true to size, and order one size down so you get a nice tight fit to form to your body. Loose doesn't look good with this dress and there is plenty of room for hips and bottom since it opens up under the waist - measure for your bust and waist and the rest should fit well.

Had a great New Year's Eve in this sophisticated dress!
The 4R was actually my backup dress. The 2R did not fit nicely with my large bust and I couldn't get the back all the way zipped up. The 4R was a little snug but did not affect my comfort in this dress and my girlfriend ended up twinning with me for the night wearing the 2R.

Understated elegance, like a ball gown but with minimal simplicity
Didn't end up wearing this back up dress to a black tie wedding, but it was gorgeous and a strong contender! Let me tell you about the fabric... It's thick and there's a lot of it, but in a good way. The result is a voluminous skirt that truly gives you that princess ball gown feeling. My only disappointment was that size 8 L long was not long enough for me at 5'-11". I would have had to wear completely flat shoes with the dress. Such a classic dress!

NYE rooftop event - simple, structured dress that let's you be the star
structure through the bodice of the dress was fantastic - also created the need to go up a size. length worked perfectly with wedges (hidden by the dress but allowed me to keep dancing all night!). was heavy and long enough to keep me warm at a rooftop NYE celebration in Philly. Scoop neck was perfect to pair with a statement necklace. made me feel pulled together without too much fuss. easy and elegant!

Elegant and form fitting
Dress was perfect length with 3.5 inch heals. The top is very fitted so I felt comfortable and held together all night and the dress is so easy to dance in because the bottom is loose and flowy. Got so many compliments and the dress was perfect for a formal black tie affair!

I wore this dress to a a Military ball and I was nervous it was too plain but the dress was amazing! Subtle yet elegant. The material was flattering and light. Only downside was I wore shorter heels and going up and down stairs was hard if you didn't hold the dress up in both hands. Other than that it was perfect. My second rental from RTR and they didn't disappoint.

Fit like a glove! Couldn't be more perfect for the wedding I was in!
Perfect fit, like it was made for me. I was apprehensive because the low back doesn't allow for a bra, but it held me in and boosted me up perfectly. The boning restricts your movement a little- kind of like a corset feel. The only draw back is the material close up- it looks a little faded and isn't the formal fabric I was expecting. More like a heavy upholstery, but unless you're close up inspecting, it's not noticeable. All in all, I wish I could keep this dress!!

Great classic dress for formal affair.
Rented this for a black tie work event. It was the perfect amount of dressy and very comfortable. It was a true 2, although I ordered a Long and it was still barely long enough with lower 2.5" high shoes. Im 5'7, so if you are tall and like heels, this probably isn't the dress for you. It can easily be dressed up with additional accessories and jewelry. Material feels very luxe but is comfortable. Will rent again for sure.

I had a backup size 6 which actually fit perfectly, but it looked worn and the skirt was puckered in the front. The 8 was in much better shape and was just loose enough for me to be able to sit down and enjoy dinner. :-)

This dress was amazing. So many compliments. Also, I am always worried about my stomach and this hid it pretty well with the boning. I am 5'6 and really should have gotten the long but it was a replacement dress. I don't normally show off my cleavage but this was perfect, held everything together!

Elegant, flattering and timeless
This dress was form fitting in the bodice and very flattering - those considering this dress should be aware that there is very little give in the fabric. I could have worn either the 2r or 4r, but I chose to wear the 2r (with 4'' heels) because it was a little more form fitting and gave me a better shape. Also, the hem on the 4r was seriously wonky... All in all I was very happy with this rental and received tons of compliments. It's really a timeless and elegant silhouette.

Loved this dress! Fun to wear to wedding..especially if you're going to dance!
This dress as pictured (or even on the hanger) does it no justice. Once you put this dress on is when you can tell how well it's made. I usually wear a 10, but wore a 12 as they did not have a 10 on the day I rented. The top was a bit loose, but I used fashion tape for the straps and sides. It hugs the curves in all the right places, I did not need to wear a bra because the built in boning is enough to keep the girls in place nicely. I did wear Spanx, but you really don't need to - the fabric is thick enough to hide any little bumps. I loved how the bottom of the dress fell and moved when walking/dancing. It was a tiny bit long on me (I'm 4'11.5 and wore almost 5 inch heels), but it looked great. I just lifted the dress a bit when I danced or walked. I got a ton of compliments. I would definitely get accessories (gold or silver) to make the dress stand out a bit more. I would rent this dress again in a heart beat!!

Beautiful Dress, loved the shape. Fits true to size except in chest area
I ordered the 10long and 8long and at first I was a tad disappointed since the 10long looked like it had been dry cleaned a few too many times and had white marks down the seams. I called RTR and they tried to find me a replacement for the event but I didn't really love anything else so I decided to stick w the dresses. The 8 long looked in better shape and after steaming it, it looked a lot better and I was able to squeeze myself into it. Didn't need to wear a bra since this baby is very tight around the bust area and "lifting". I ended up loving this dress and felt great in it! But the 10long needs to be retired! Came in time, was easy to ship back!

Beautiful and easy to wear!
The material is amazing for winter - thick and matte. I felt like it held everything in. I didn't wear a bra, which was great. The only thing I would say is that I'm pretty short, so I was concerned about length. I wore 4 inch heels and if I was any taller, the dress would have been too short. So, if you're over 5'1" and trying to wear significant heels, definitely go for the long version.

Super easy process, I felt beautiful the entire night
I was originally worried about this dress being too dramatic for the Marine Corp ball but I was so wrong:) Fit was true to size although the zipper was a bit difficult and my fiancé struggled a little zipping it up. I wish I would have been able to wear the 2L, it fit but for me there wasn't a huge difference in the length so I decided to go with the. 4R because I was more comfortable. It hugged my hourglass figure perfectly and the structure of the dress forces you to have good posture! ( never a bad thing:)) my fiancé loved the dress and said I looked amazing and the best part of all was that I got to wear flats and no one knew because of the fit and flare style! It was absolutely beautiful. The best part for me was that it is such a classy dress. Covered up but sexy as well. Can't go wrong with the black, always chic. Absolutely recommend!
