The dress' horizontal stripes get closer together at the waist, making it super flattering. Great for pear shapes. I wish I owned this dress.

I completely agree with the other reviews that you should order a size down. I usually wear a 4 in dresses (depending on how fitted they are so I ordered both size 2 & 4 to be on the safe side. I'm much smaller in the top than I am in my thighs and butt. The fit of the dress was SO flattering, and I received so many compliments. The ONLY complaint that I have would be that the lining in the dress kept showing. I had to pin it, but once I did it was fine. I never had to worry about my dress flying up since the material is thick. I ordered the Kenneth Jay Lane Diana Pearl Necklace, but it was too much so I ended up not wearing it. I definitely recommend this dress to anyone considering it!

Perfect dress for a day at the races. Was great for the hot weather and it allowed me to move about throughout the crowd. Had numerous compliments and felt very comfortable.

After seeing others photos, I talked myself into getting a larger extra size, when really I probably could have fit into the 2. The 4 didn't look too big though and was for my wedding shower so I didn't want it to be too tight.

This dress was incredibly comfortable, as it barely touches you anywhere but the waist. I wore it for a "future" themed party as its shape gives it a "Jetsons" look, but still very classy. I am a 6 in the chest and waist but a 10 on the bottom, and the 6 fit perfectly as the dress flares out so much. I'm 5'10" and the length was good, a few inches above the knee. You can wear normal bra. Easy to wear, unique dress that I wish I could keep!

The material was quality and heavy enough that the skirt will not fly up but the dress itself doesn't feel heavy at all. The dress skirt is a little stiff but I preferred that. Loved how the skinner lines at the waist were slimming.

The dress fit me perfectly. The fabric was heavy, and it hung very nicely. I wore it with open-toed black booties. I also found that it ran very true-to-size. I received many compliments and would highly recommend this dress.

Of all the dresses I have ever rented from RTR, this one was the best!! I loved it so much that I wore it again to a casual get-together the next day. I couldn't bear to send it back without wearing it as much as possible! It's much more beautiful than you can tell from the photo. The fabric is like satin and the black stripes are sewn-on satin ribbons. In fact, the fabric reminded me of wedding gown fabric. And it fit me perfectly and comfortably: length to the knee, giving me a waist but allowing me to breathe, creating an hourglass where I don't have one. Loved it, loved it, loved it!! There is nothing more to say. Oh, yeah, my husband loved it, too!

I loved wearing this dress. The fabric is heavy and good quality. The black piping stripes have some stiffness that help the skirt stand away from the body. This dress really accentuates your waist. I steamed the dress before I wore it and it wrinkled very little when I was seated. I wore red shoes and a red and black wrap. It was a great choice for me.

This dress was awesome. Flattering and classic and a great palette for accessories. Like a suit of armour - once you zip it up you don't have to worry about underwear showing or things falling out. The fabric isn't see-through and the dress has a little weight to it to give it its shape. It does run a little large. 6 is my normal size but I was about 5lbs heavier than normal and it was still a forgiving fit. Perfect for me, but get a smaller backup size if you like things to fit tighter. Great for pear shape- no hidden pencil-skirt lining. Also, the black stripes crest curves! Wore it with the Azia purple necklace by Nocturne.

This dress is gorgeous and extremely flattering. I felt amazing all night and my boyfriend couldn't stop complimenting me. Great lines, quality material. Hit me in all the right spots. My first RTR experience but won't be my last! Came 2 days early and whole process was so seamless. Already searching for my next occasion!

Full skirt dresses are my absolute favorite, this being no different! I found that the dress ran true to size but would definitely size down for a back up because some women may find that because there is comfortable room up top, they want the tighter fit of a smaller size. The dress hit me right at the knee since I am 5'1. There are no pockets on this dress, but am glad because I think it would take away from the shape. Would wear this dress to a formal lunch or daytime party and then dress it up for night.

I usually wear a size 8 and I was on the fence about wearing the 10 but I am happy that I did. I have rented many dresses before but this was my favorite. I received many compliments on the dress that night. I wore it to a work event so I put my own blazer over it. I would totally rent this again for going out and just not wear the jacket.

I wore this dress for my engagement photos. It was just perfect I wore ordered a size 4 & 2 and decide to wear the 2. I have a small bust and size 2 worked better.

Fit was a bit loose through bust and waist. Fabric was lovely. Each stripe is individual fabric, not printed on. Such a fun party look. Perfect knee length.

I rented this for Back to School Night and loved it so much I decided to wear it the whole day (usually I change from my work clothes before parents come). I rented an 8 and a 10 and the 8 fit better because the wide skirt left room for my hips. The 8 did come to me a little wrinkled, but the stripes helped so it wasn't too noticeable. Sorry for the classroom selfie, but it was all I had for a picture!

I enjoyed wearing this dress... It was comfortable and I think it was flattering in the mid section too!!!!!! The only 2 things I did not necessarily like: - I'm 5'2 and it was longer on me than I anticipated. - I wear a 34DD and my boobs were held so tight... But that's just me in almost all my clothes. Lol This was my second experience with RTR and I was certainly pleased.

This dress is so flattering. The horizontal lines are arranged just so that it makes your waist look really trim. The fabric is thick and sturdy - really holds the shape of the dress. The arm holes are a bit snug - by the end of the day, I was a little red around that area. All in all, perfect for a day event like a shower or graduation. I would definitely rent again.

My first RTR experience was with this dress...and it was beautiful! The fabric and details look so expensive. I got compliments all evening. Plus the stripes are so flattering and the cut is modern, this dress will make any body type look fantastic! Will order again.

I love the style of this dress - great for hour glass figures. The only reason i didnt give it 5 stars was because the lining at the front was hanging down so i had to pin it!

The pattern of stripes and fit of the dresses are very flattering. The flare is quite wide and fun, but it's shorter length and width of skirt was not right for my office. Wore to church and received compliments.

The biggest thing to know about this dress is that it has a nice, full skirt. There is a thick band that runs along the bottom which provides shape. It was weirdly stretched and would flop down (visible beneath the hem), but once I used about 4 safety pins to pin it to the lining, it stayed up AND looked great! If I didn't have to deal with the pinning, it would have been 5 stars. Easy to dress down for work, and definitely able to be more dressed up than I did.

I am 110% obsessed with this dress. I wore it for a corporate work summit and it is extremely flattering. The lines hit in all the right places and make you look very skinny, even on bloated days. I want to keep this dress forever.

This was my back up dress, and I ordered a size up - it turned out beautiful and comfortable! I am 5'9" and 135lbs. I typically wear size 6 but this dress was a perfect fit at a size 8! The event I went to was in the Spring and somewhat conservative. I didn't know if it was going to be warm or cold - this dress suited both options and I wore a small, tightfitting black bolero cardigan to cover up in the morning. I also like the length and wasn't self conscious about being inappropriate for the event.

I love the way the lines on this dress create an illusion - not just your ordinary dress with lines. I also love the way the dress poofs out at the hem a bit and how it cinches in your waist (not sure this was intentional, but it felt a bit like a corset on me - I possibly could've ordered a size up because it took a few extra minutes to zip but, once it was zipped, I felt FABULOUS). I would love to own this dress.

Fit true to size and the dress flared toward the bottom of torso which provided a more slender look. Most fit/flare dresses cut my torso in half making my lower body appear even larger. Zipped up easily and was comfortable at a fundraising gala with sitting and dancing.

This is a superb piece of design: The stripes and the flared cut are flattering for almost any figure, and the cap sleeves' vertical stripes keep the dressfrom looking too much like a Doppler wave pattern. I was able to squeeze into the 4 but felt it pinching my arms; the 6 was much easier to wear. This dress is ideal for spring and summer daytime events. A+, would absolutely wear this again.
