Fit great, not too baggy, not too tight. Was able to move and dance in comfort. Beautiful blue that would look good on anyone!

Fit was good, despite only being a "L". Is slightly stretchy, but not to the point of being spandex figure hugging. Spend the time to flatten out the neck so it fits snugger and follows the neck line better. Wonderful.

Runs a little large in the chest but no one could tell but me. The neckline is so unique and sexy without being too much.

At first glance I thought this dress would be WAY too tight and being self-conscious about my round back side/pear shape I didn't want to look inappropriate. As soon as I tried this on in the store I knew it was exactly what I wanted! The color and material of the dress were amazing, and did not fit tight or too body hugging at all. I would 100% recommend this dress for your event it was a hit at the wedding!!

This dress is VERY form fitting, but the fabric is not one that shows every imperfection. It did ride up a bit when I walked, but it wasn't an issue. I wore the dress from 4pm to midnight and was very comfortable in it all night -- and it was great for dancing as well. I love the color. Probably half of the women at the event were in black - boring!

Fit true to a size, very pretty color, material might be slightly heavy for outdoors in heat but didn't bother me at all.

Loved the fit! It was stretchy yet snug and super comfortable. The twist at the neck was just unique enough to help keep the accessories minimal. Love this dress! The color was so vibrant and the fabric was flattering. It was thick, but not hot so it doesn't show every bump (I didn't even wear control top anything and felt great). It rode up a little and was a little tight in the mid section, but was otherwise perfect. The halter neck is so different from other haters, very cool and flattering.

I had originally ordered another dress but one of the sizes was damaged so was sent this dress as a replacement. I was really nervous to try it on because I wasn't sure how it would fit. The material is thick enough so it's very flattering but also very stretchy so it was comfortable. It does run a little big in the chest but overall I loved it. I definitely recommend!

I needed a dress that was pretty, conservative enough for a client event, but hot enough for a party. This dress was the perfect solution! I was attending a reception at my husband's clients' home and it was the first time meeting them. I wanted to look stunning, but not overly sexy. Since we had a babysitter for the evening, we kept the party going at a club party and I wanted to look sexy for that. This dress was everything I needed for both events. The royal blue color is perfect and the cut is fantastic! It's a great dress! I love everything about it!

This dress is adorable, only problem is the top is too large for someone with a small chest. I was able to wear a strapless bra without it being seen. Also, I wore a tummy controller and no one could tell! The dress does bunch up when you walk. I probably wouldn't rent again

I really liked this dress. The fabric was thick but very stretchy. I liked the structure of the dress and the fact that it didn't wrinkle even with many in and out of cabs/ sitting/ dancing. My only "complaint" is that you will be able to see a spanx line down the front if the dress is on the tighter side for you. Not a huge deal if you're going to be in low light/ moving around, or if you have some room in the dress. It would not be the kind of dress that would be able to be worn if you are using the spanx to fit into the dress. I have very wide shoulders/ back and this gave me plenty of room. Almost too much!

very flattering--the material is thick and stays smooth, its like having on spanx w/o wearing spanx, but it's very thick and doesn't breathe at all. Not a good choice for outdoors or a place w/o AC. The top straps are really fun, but the top makes you look flat chested. I wasn't able to wear a bra. Color is much lighter, almost a periwinkle, which was a nice color, but not same as pictured. I wore an XS and I always wear a S or M. other reviews said to size down, glad I did. It's very stretchy and hugs. S looked too sloppy and loose. Not fitted enough. If you don't want form fitting, then your normal size might be okay.

It was a very pretty dress, I'm pretty skinny but I would suggest wearing spanx with this. There is no lining like most other dresses so it would bunch up in the oddest places. Loved the neckline and length and felt it was appropriate for the event I went to. The color also stands out.

Beautiful color and good fit

Loved the color of this dress. When I took it out of the box, the artificial lighting made it look royal blue. Once we were outside, in natural light, it was a vibrant violet, which I loved (purple is my favorite color). As far as fit goes, I'd say it runs a little large. I am usually a 4, but with my hips and bum I sometimes have to go up a size. Based on other reviews and the stylist notes, I ordered a Small with the XS as a backup. I liked the fit of the Small from my rib cage down, but the top was too loose for my 34A chest and the back had almost an inch gap. The fabric was very stretchy so I ended up wearing the XS, which fit my chest but was very tight everywhere else (had to keep pulling it down throughout the night, especially while dancing). Something else to note is the fabric was not at all what I was expecting. It had a plastic-y feel and there was no hem at the bottom. However, the stretch made it comfortable and though the fabric didn't really breath, any sweat marks dried very quickly. Overall, it was a pretty dress but I won't be renting it again due to the sizing.

My body is classically pear shaped. Contrary to the sizing suggestions, I ended up sizing DOWN despite my larger hips and going with the small. I had a little extra room in the top, but nothing that required tape or other considerations. Wore with tan booties & gold jewelry for a night on the town with friends - would rent again.

Rented this for a pageant I was attending. Everyone loved the color. It does BUNCH up a little in the front when you walk. I wouldn't suggest this for dancing, the fabric is tough and heavy.. more ideal for a professional, charity, event type setting. Since I sat the majority of the time the bunching didn't bother me.

Wore this dress to dinner during my friend's bachelorette weekend. It was sexy, yet classy in a great purple color. It travels well! No wrinkles even after being packed in a suitcase. If you have hips like me, the dress may fit a little snug and slide up your thighs when you walk. Definitely need spanks or a thong to prevent lines in the back . Overall, great dress!

This was my first choice for a wedding. I couldn't wear it because it rides up when you walk, every step I took I had to pull it down. I wouldn't recommend this dress unless you were planning on sitting all night! The fit is average.

I rented a small in this dress and it was way to big . Costner service was awesome and overnight red my xs which fit perfectly would rent again.

The dress fit great - I love the way Halston Herritage dresses are cut. The dress also had a lot of stretch to it so it never felt like I needed to suck in or wear Spanx.

I've recently gained a little wait so I thought I was running a risk ordering an xs, but after reading some other reviews I thought "what the hell" and did it anyways. Pulling it out of the bag, I thought it looked kind of small, it wasn't the girls were right it was stretchy and was forgiving in those spots I was kind of worried about. Overall, I felt extremely comfortable and sexy!

This dress was a hit! It fit beautifully, the fabric was heavy and fit my curves perfectly. Exposed shoulders and back made it very sexy. I love to dance and this wasn't the best dress for dancing. I had to keep pulling it down, however I did not suffer from any "wardrobe malfunctions."

This dress has A LOT of give to it. I rented the small and medium and wore the small. I wish I got the small and extra small. I honestly think trying on the extra small would have been worth a shot. The dress fit and looked good but sometimes the side wear the zipper was would bunch up a lot probably because there is so much give to the dress (hence why I am holding my bag how I am in the pic) All and all its a great dress!!! But definitely go down a size, and two sizes for back up!

I rented this dress for an early spring wedding. It had snowed earlier that week, and the forecast said rain so I wanted something I could easily pair with a jacket or something similar. It was perfect for the formal wedding, and worked great with a black leather jacket for the ceremony. I paired it with white/black/gray patterned heels, a bracelet, and long gray earrings. A bra worked fine with the dress, so now worries there. Take note: the dress was a little looser than I preferred, so for ordering I recommend getting one size smaller than you typically wear as your back up. It does ride up a lot when you walk. Also, it is not a true purple and could be mistaken for blue in natural light. Overall this was a great rental! I highly recommend this dress.

I tried several dresses (via Unlimited) before going with this one. It's actually not something I would normally choose. But- my choices weren't working out so I let my boyfriend pick & he chose this one. So glad he did! The fit/cut is super flattering. I have trouble finding dresses that fit the chest area & everywhere else at the same time. This one has plenty of room up top & still hugs curves below. I think it would actually be great on almost any body type. I would definitely rent again! I took off a star because it does ride up when you walk and the fabric lays weird on the side where the zipper is.

The dress fit wonderfully on top. You will need some sort of strapless bra solution. I used good old-fashioned tape. The back dips deep, so you would need a low-back bra if you wore a traditional strapless. My only complaint, which almost prevented me from wearing the dress, is that it rides up a lot. Every move you make. I tried the medium on, as well, thinking the small may have been tight. The medium was even worse. But I got so many compliments and felt so amazing in it I didn't notice. This was my backup dress and I'm so thankful I ordered it.

The color is gorgeous, looks more like a brilliant Indigo hue. I wore this dress for dinner and drinks, loved the length; the dress hit just a few inches above the knee. I wore the XS, but could have gone smaller if the option was available. Nevertheless, the fabric was sufficiently stretchy, concealed my tummy after a large dinner, and created a beautiful silhouette. I wore a sticky strapless bra, which may be optional for fuller-chested women. I double-wrapped a chain-link necklace, tucked into the neckline, to give a pop of gold. I received many compliments, and would recommend this elegant dress to anyone considering renting it!
