I loved the color of the dress. The navy was a nice alternative to black, while still being classy and elegant. With three inch heels, the long barely touched the ground. The regular probably would have worked better, but it was not available. I did have to pin the top (which looked kind of bad), but you can definitely wear a normal bra with it. Definitely recommend this!

though the top is a bit large, for the most part, it runs true to size. I did use some fashion tape to close the front up a bit, because it was a bit loose, but it wasn't a big deal. I'm 5'2 , and the length was a bit long, but my heels also weren't that high - maybe 3 inches? I added a sparkly belt for a bit more glam. Very comfortable dress - did not feel tight. The upper back of the dress did overflow a little, if that makes sense, but it didn't look bad.

This dress fits very true to size. It is very comfortable and light. The best part is that you get to wear a real bra. Be careful about bending over or not standing up straight because the front may flap open. All in all, this dress was great and easy to dance in.

I loved the simplicity of this dress and it made a big statement anyway. I wasn't moving anywhere all night, which was a nice feature. The band around the waist was a little on the tight side but nothing unbearable. The only downside was that there were no short dresses and even in character shoes the dress was too long to be waltzing in. Still, a lovely dress and if you plan on wearing it to an event where you can wear more than two inches of heel, short girls are still fine!

Perfect dress for a formal beach wedding. So comfortable and so flattering! I wore petals but got away without a bra, other reviews mentioned needing spanks or a slit, this was not the case for me. Dress was long, I am 5'2 and wore 3-4 inch heels, no need to get the Long unless you are very tall ;) highly recommend this beautiful dress!

The dress was even more beautiful in person. I am normally a 6-8 in dresses and ended up wearing the 8. I could have gotten away with the 6 but ordered a 6L. This dress does run long- I am 5'7 and wore 4 inch heels and it was just the right length.

I was in the Las Vegas store when my stylist put this in the room. I was really only going to try it on for size, but fell in LOVE with the simplicity of the dress. I added an amazing necklace and felt like a million bucks at my event. Total knockout dress and classy too!

This dress is SO comfortable and, I think, very flattering. This photo shows that the V neck is a bit loose, but this is the only angle that it showed up as being open. Nothing can compare to how this dress flows when one walks in it. Beware though, I work just about four inch pumps and the regular length was long. The waist is very true to size, but the rest of the dress is very forgiving. Bonus: no strapless bra required!

I got so many compliments on this dress. This wasn't the original dress I ordered which arrived with a tear, however, RTR was great and sent me other dresses in time for my friend's wedding.

I wanted to look elegant but simple and this dress was perfect. I have a small bust so I had to use garment tape in the front to keep it from opening; I'm surprised that the description of the dress indicated that it's good for small chests because it's really not. With 3 inch heels, the dress was the perfect length. I loved that the dress was very light and comfortable and it flowed beautifully when I walked.

Dress was really cute but was super long and tight in the middle where it zipped up. No stretch.

I loved this understated but elegant and flattering dress. The 2L was my backup size, I thought I'd be the 4 but the bust was actually big and a little saggy on me (I'm a 32C). The 2 fit perfectly, though I still taped it to my bra to avoid it sagging a little if I leaned over. I LOVED the fabric, light and airy, the color is very elegant and can be accessorized in many different ways. Loved that it hugged the waist but flowed over my curvy hips, hiding all the right bulges - very flattering. Wore it to a black tie wedding and received a lot of compliments ;) Only downer is I should've listened to the reviews and gotten an R - the L was definitely too long, even in heels (I'm 5.7). Overall a wonderful dress though!

Other reviews are true, it's VERY tight through the waistline zipper. And, it is very long as well. But, otherwise comfortable and super flattering. I had tons of compliments and enjoyed wearing it!!

I found this dress at the Rent the Runway store in manhattan. Unfortunately 12L is the only size they had. All the other gowns were either too big/ large or too short on me because I am a size 6 and just under 5'10. I was able to get away with wearing this gown because of its material and high waist. The fact that this was a long version of the gown was a game changer! I was able to wear this gown with heels and I still had ample material for length. This gown is sure to turn heads! It's elegant, fabulous, and classy!

The length was perfect for petite ladies in 4 inch heels. There was some extra space in the back and bust area but it was not very noticeable and still looked amazing. Straps stayed up and it was very comfortable. I didn't even have to wear a strapless bra. The dress itself is a beautiful navy color and flows nicely but accentuates the waist as well. I would definitely recommend!

I wore my dress to a Military Ball - I absolutely loved how the dress looked on, I felt like a Greek goddess. I only have three cons and that is that it is a bit see-through (which was later noticed when looking at pictures and my leg was visible in a few), the length was a little too long so I had to stay in my heels all night so that I can dance and wouldn't slip on the fabric and the final con is that around the chest area the straps would slip to the side revealing my bra (but nothing a safety pin couldn't fix!). Other than my three cons I loved the dress and received numerous compliments.

This is a beautiful dress! It's perfect for a work formal occasion - it's gorgeous but not flashy. The color is such a great shade of navy. It's a bit long - I wore 4" heels and I'm 5'5" and the regular was still dragging and getting stepped on. Also, don't wear a push up bra unless you want some cleavage when sitting down. I made that mistake :) I'll definitely rent this dress again for a work formal!

I had the 8L as back up since long dresses sometimes fall bit short. The 8R was perfect with my 3 inch heels.

My teenage daughters have both rented from RTR, but this was MY first Cinderella moment! Having gained 20 pounds in the past year, I had nothing to wear for my daughter's formal awards show. Three sizes bigger in every direction, I was very concerned about fit and shape, and about looking elegant and beautiful but also appropriately like a mother. This Halston Heritage gown did the trick! It was very comfortable and the right fabric for sitting for 3+ hours. The neckline was attractive but not too daring, the drape was perfect, and skirt flowed beautifully. I got to show a little cleavage with being covered up in all the right places, and I LOVED the navy blue color. My daughters and husband were proud. (Note that Parker, my daughter in the middle in red, wore RTR too!) Tips: I'm 5'9" and wore 3" heels, and the long was to the ground. Felt like I was tripping on it sometimes but I wouldn't have gone with the shorter. The size 12 fit almost exactly the same as the 14 but was blousier up top, so I went with the more fitted 14. Also, I neglected to use the fabric tape and should have. Since we were sitting all night, the surplice neckline kept opening up and exposing my bra. Could have easily been fixed with a little tape to keep it in place. I also rented the bangle bracelets - divided the set up on two arms. Very nice touch, glitz but not too flashy. Glad that they perfectly matched earrings I already had at home.

The fit was slightly large, I wore a size 4 and I am normally a size 6. It is long, so it requires very high heels and you have to be careful not to step on it while dancing.

this dress is very comfortable and fits well. i'm 5'10" and it's difficult to find dresses that are long enough and this one grazed the top of my feet so it was perfect. wore flats with it and had no trouble with stepping on it. as other reviewers have stated, i did need a bit of hollywood tape at the bust to keep it from opening up. the dress is a little see through and for an event outside on a sunny day i would recommend a slip.

This dress was perfect. The color is great- it's a pretty dark navy, not a usual color. The zipper was good quality and didn't have any problems. It photographs really well and it very light on the bottom and moves easily. I don't like when dresses get tangled around the feet and it definitely didn't do that. I would rent it again. I wouldn't go with the long size unless you are very tall for your size.

fit was a little snug however once it was zipped the dress felt fantastic, def a little long but nothing some heels can't fix - i felt like a grecian goddess!!

I ordered this dress in a 2L with a 4L for a backup size and ended up wearing the 2L. The length was perfect. I wore 2.5" heels with this dress and it was just above the floor. I had actually planned on wearing low kitten heels however the dress was dragging so I needed something a bit higher. In terms of size, I typically wear a 4 in jeans and a 2 or 0 for skirts that zip at the waist. I went with the 2 and it fit great (I didn't even try on the 4). My only issue is that the top was a bit large. I am very small chested and did not fill out this top very well. It wasn't a huge issue as long as I didn't bend over. I probably could have just used some double stick tape and it would have been fine. The fabric is very light and flowy. I would probably recommend wearing a slip underneath since it did seem sheer when I held it up to the light. It did flow very beautifully when I walked though. Overall, I loved this dress and I felt very comfortable in it the whole night.

Wore this dress for a wedding, and got many compliments all night. The length was a little bit long when I switched to shorter heels later in the night, but not so long that it was a problem at all. It fit very well and was extremely flattering and slimming, and hid anything I wanted hidden around my stomach. It fit very well around the top, and I just used a bit of dress tape near the bust to ensure it wouldn't gape while I was sitting. Overall, I felt great in this dress, and it was very comfortable for everything from the wedding ceremony through dinner and dancing.

I cannot say enough great things about this gown. I received so many compliments and felt confident in the gown all evening. It was incredibly fun to walk in because the skirt really flowed. I rated that it runs large because it was a bit big up top and in the skirt; however the waist was a nice fit with only a little bit of give.

I'm 5'5" and I needed to wear my highest platform heels to keep the dress off the ground. Luckily, my shoes worked out perfectly. I wore a regular bra and and use a single piece of double sided to tape to hold the top of the dress to my bra-no peekaboos all night. Loved it.

It fit true to size. The regular length was plenty long for 5'7" in 3 inch heels.

This dress fit great! It was very comfortable to wear all night through dinner and dancing. I loved it because it wasn't a dress that I was constantly worrying about adjusting. It was very easy to wear. Though it wasn't the most flattering dress, I still felt great in it!

I ordered an 8r and a 10r and they were both too big. I am short waisted so the torso was too long and looked too baggy. This is also pretty long in length. I would have had to wear 4inch heels to keep it from dragging. The dress is really pretty but just didnt fit my body type, maybe someone that has a longer torso like the model.

This is a great dress for a more formal event. The fit and length worked out well for me (I'm on the shorter side, so that's a good thing!). The color is pretty straightforward, so I added one of RTR's necklaces to liven it up, with great results.

The dress was very elegant and forgiving! I felt that it needed a belt to give it a little more shape at the waist and luckily I had a navy sash that did the trick. Also, it hung too long. I am 5 feet 6 1/2 inches and the regular was too long - I was able to cinch it t the waist thanks to the sash and made it work.

Although I love the dress, I gave it fours stars and I will explain why. My body is not the best type for dresses with a natural waste because I have a big tummy. I knew that going in, but I really wanted this dress for this event. When I first tried on the size 6, the zipper was not hooking up. I was intent on wearing this dress and invested in new shape wear and got some help with the zipper and voila!. As other reviewers mentioned, the top is very loose so I used a safety pin to keep things in place. Finally, the dress is a very long one which I love - I love when my dresses drape the floor. Overall,the dress looked great and it was lightweight which allowed me to work my event with ease of movement. I got so many compliments. I highly recommend it if you have a tiny waste. Go for it, you will not be disappointed.
