I adored wearing this dress so much it sent me running to find out what other items might be available by this designer . (The answer is; not much, either on RTR or elsewhere, but I’ll keep checking) . This dress is made of a heavier linen fabric, so was perfect for the pleasantly cool, early fall evening I wore it out to dinner. I think it would feel too warm on the warmest of summer nights, but it’s a perfect transition season dress. The sleeves are large but the contrast of the fitted waist it is very feminine and flattering. I see some people feel it was a lot of fabric , but I was fine with it. I can think of a few places I can wear this so I’ll keep it a bit longer .

While, I must admit this dress is very heavy in overall weight, it’s amazing. The skirt is nearly a complete circle when pulled side to side, which creates amazing movement when you’re walking. The cinch at the waist gives it shape. I would definitely rent this again.

This dress fits nicely! The mandarin collar is very pretty. The belt makes the dress very flattering, accentuating waistline. Fabric is lightweight. At 5’2” I had to wear high heels with this. It’s long and flowy. Really love this style!

The material is a heavier linen but it’s what makes the dress hang perfectly on any figure. The sleeve detail combined with the long flowy skirt is casual elegance at its best. Wore to a speaking engagement and got lots of compliments. Will rent this designer again.

But it is linen so make sure you have a steamer (I did not)! It’s navy but could pass for black. Totally beautiful, very high quality. Quite long, will be a nice tea length on 5’8” + height methinks

This dress was super easy to wear without any styling. The waist tie isn’t fussy as it’s only in the front. Sizing is very generous. The sleeves are BIG, which doesn’t always work on my petite frame, but I really liked the way these hung. It’s a thick linen (like the dress is really heavy) - I wouldn’t recommend for a hot southern summer, but it was perfect for the fall!

The navy and linen read summer to me, but the dress is so heavy and widely cut in the skirt it did not match seasonally. It’s very pretty and well made, but it wasn’t a show stopper for me. Love the puffy sleeve, but almost too puffy for work.

Gorgeous, flattering navy and heavy, high quality linen. Sleeves are dramatically large, belt allows you to cinch the waist. Buttons didn't gape. So disappointed not to have pockets. Why have all that fabric and not add pockets? Otherwise would be a 5 star dress.

Heavy, cumbersome, unflattering - didn’t wear

Wore to my daughter's graduation. One of my favorite recent rentals. Fit a larger chest and tie waist shows hourglass figure. The balloon sleeves were the focus and may be preferred by someone on the taller side to not be overwhelmed. Conservative with a side of fun.

I know I will own this one at some point, I just can't decide the color! I've rented both and they are stunning.

Wore this to work and everyday. It’s so so nice. It doesn’t look like much in the picture because it’s dark you can’t see the movement in the skirt. It’s classy and timeless; I got lots of compliments. It fit like a glove and made my waste look tiny. The skirt has SO much beautiful movement. Only thing to note is that the fabric is really heavy. It’s linen but not breathable. So don’t think you’ll wear this outside in summer. It would be way too hot.

I made the mistake of ordering it in the summer and the more snug collar and the sleeves definitely would fit a transition season or a winter / fall vibe much more. I would definitely buy this one if it were within my budget. This dress is a statement that shows you like your style but it doesn’t scream that you’re better than everybody else, which is good. One of my favorite RTR pieces ever!

For a black dress, I have received so, so many compliments on this! It is extremely luxe and heavy (in a good way) and the fabric feels incredible. The way the skirt moves when I walk is like something out of a movie. One woman actually demanded to look at my tag to find out where it’s from. Highly recommend.

wore this 8 months pregnant to work and loved it (would look great not pregnant). really flattering! minor warning that the fabric feels a bit like a wool blend, so it's not the softest and is a bit warm. rented in the summer, but would be more appropriate in spring/fall when you don't really need a coat yet (sleeves are voluminous).
