This was my backup dress- The original dress I chose turned out to be not so nice. So I had an xs of this dress and Im glad I did! I wore this to my soon to be husbands company Christmas party. I received tons of compliments and felt gorgeous all night. It was super comfortable. I found the dress to be a little short- I wore it with flats (and I'm only 5'2"). I thought it looked weird with heels.. But that worked out in my favor because my feet didn't hurt at the end of the night and the dress was the perfect length. I paired it with Gold Kendra Scott earrings that I also got compliments on! This was my first rent the runway experience and I am already looking forward to my next! (rehearsal dinner dress!)

I want to own ALL 3 of these things and have searched for them far & wide but can't find them to buy! :( I got tons of compliments from everyone, including the bride and some male waiters at the wedding. It was unique, easy to wear, and flattering. I was happy with my styling choices of the statement necklace and the miniadure clutch as well - made for a great standout outfit! I was told (by an RTR stylist) to get this in a L, but that's definitely wrong - I'm normally a M, ordered a M & S, ended up wearing the S. Could've worn either one, though. Beautiful - great for holiday events and black tie affairs!

I got so many compliments on this dress! I wish I owned it, I would totally rent it again. It's beautiful and classy, especially for a wedding--it was fairly conservative wedding so it was good to be covered and comfortable. I had a number of people (young and old!) tell me that I had the best dress at the wedding. No hassles, everything was easy. Got it in time and no problems with the return. Great experience!

It runs large so I only ordered the XS and it fit fine. The cinched waist seemed to really need a belt, otherwise it creates an odd visual in the middle of your body. I added a gold chain necklace as my "belt" and it worked out fine. I got so many compliments at the wedding - the dress is a real show stopper!

I rented this dress for a rehearsal dinner and did not want to send it back! I received many compliments on it and it can easily be dressed down or styled up. I accessorized with a tan belt, nude pumps, sparkly necklace and I ordered the mystery bling and they sent the Selby Cuff. I normally wear an 8 or a 10 and ordered a Large. It was a bit big and could have probably been ok with the medium. I was very happy with rent the runway and will definitely be using them again!

I loved this dress. It was very comfortable to wear and had that awesome element of surprise. It was a black tie optional wedding, so I wanted to be dressed up but not over dressed. The tee-shirt top of this dress helped keep it casual. I would totally recommend this dress. I got lots of compliments and was comfortable all night long.

This dress is beautiful in person!! It's the perfect dress for an event or wedding. I received SO many compliments on it. It's very unique and I would rent it again if I needed to! As for sizing reference, I am petite and ordered an XS and a S. The XS fit perfectly (5'3" 110 lbs.). I wore about 3-4 inch heels and the length of the dress hit about 1-2 inches off the ground with my heels on. The size you normally wear should be the size that will fit you in this dress, but I would still get a 2nd size just in case! Highly recommend!

This dress was AMAZING!!!! I got so many compliments on it. I wore a size small and just accessorized it with a skinny black belt, black and gold shoes and some gold bracelets so I did not take away from the beauty of the dress. It was so elegant and chic I almost want to pruchase this dress for the future.

Fit - It fit comfortably everywhere, except being tighter around the bust. (It would not be tight for a smaller bust size). I personally dislike using belts, and this cinch was perfect. Pros - It's unique, and it fits the bill when the dress code's more ambiguous. Cons - Some sequins on the edge were falling off when I received it, but it was not very noticeable. Highlights - I loved that it brought little self-consciousness about my trouble zones. I remembered that I had a waist and that my legs were getting toned, and that's what a dress should do for every girl. P.S. The color's like a dark navy, blackish until double glance.

I usually wear a small, but with this dress I wore an extra small. I wouldn't say that it runs large. However, I would say to order your "usual" size and a size down. I wore an 3 inch heel which made the dress a perfect length for me. I received a lot of compliments on the dress throughout the night. So you are probably wondering why I didn't give it a perfect score. Although I was told it was a great dress by many, I didn't feel super sexy in it. Probably because your pretty covered up. A few more points, to some it looks Navy to others it looks black and there is a pocket on the front. One last major cool thing, you get to wear a regular bra! With all this said, it was a great dress and you will have fun in it! :)

I love that this dress is sexy and gives the illusion of a ridiculously high slit, when in fact it is quite demure. The fitted waist is flattering, the neckline is respectable, and it is not too tight. After having chosen and reserved this dress, I went on an accessories buying flurry and planned my hair, makeup, and mani/pedi, and it all went off without a hitch. I got a ton of compliments from everyone. I detract one star because I am not a huge fan of that tiny breast pocket, and that elastic waistband doesn't do much for me on its own. I did cover it up with a belt (which I believe was the point).

Interior lining of gold looks fantastic can ride up a bit but still perfect. I wore this to my engagement party with just a nice pair of earrings and received tons of compliments. This dress is the most perfect, comfortable stunner.

I rented this dress for a black tie wedding, but ended up wearing a backup dress instead that fit better. This dress is subtle and so cute for any event. It fit great too!

Wore this dress to the after party for my wedding and it was a hit! The shape and fit of the dress made it super-comfortable, flattering and easy to wear. The slit did make me feel more exposed than I anticipated, but the sequin portion isn't too short.

Loved the gold mini skirt! Super comfortable, lightweight and was gorgeous on. I'm 5"3" and was concerned about the length but the XS was perfect with 3 1/2" heels. Highly recommend it.

Loved this dress and got so many compliments on it at a friends wedding. It was comfortable and easy to dance in. The fabric is light and airy and the slit is just open enough to show a little leg without looking slutty. It might run a LITTLE big. I wore it with a big gold statement necklace and gold heels - one of my favorite RTR dresses!

I wore this to a charity casino night and received so many compliments! I chose this as my backup dress but the primary dress was too heavy for such a hot night. This was perfect for the 95+ degree weather, lightweight and breathable, and it easily moves between a casual dress to cocktail depending on how you accessorize. Just a really fun dress overall!

This dress was so simple and elegant and was perfect for the outdoor wedding I went to! I received SO many compliments and felt like a million bucks! The fabric is nice and the little bit of sparkle underneath gives it a nice edge! I would definitely recommend!

I wore this dress to an afternoon bat mitzvah. I liked it because the overall design was simple enough for a dressy afternoon party, but the peekaboo leg and sparkle made it stand out in a crowded room. I typically wear a small, but in this case I ended up with the XS; the small was a little too baggy. Also, normally I'm not terribly comfortable with showing off my legs, but with a little self tanner, I was more than OK with this dress. (There was still plenty of coverage, unless you're trying to pull an Angelina Jolie.) Long story short, I felt awesome in this dress and I got a ton of compliments. I wish I could have kept it. :)

Loved this dress... totally wanted to keep it! It was perfect in a casual fancy way. The gold slit part was a little long for my taste, so I used fashion tape to hike it up a little and wore a skinny gold belt to give the dress more of a figure. The fit was awesome and the dress was super comfortable!

Like other reviewers said, this dress garners lots of compliments from total strangers. I felt sexy and very Serena van der Woodson-y in it. On fit: I would have been more comfortable in a size small but it wasn't available. The waist and under-skirt is stretchy though so there is flexibility. On my frame the gold skirt was tight and pretty short (I am long-torso'd though) and I had to hold the back of the skirt when I walked so it wouldn't flow behind me and show too much tight under-skirt. Also, when dancing I couldn't raise my hands all the way up b/c it was a bit tight. BUT I'm fairly confident that I didn't LOOK like I was wearing a size too small it was just a comfort thing. Highly recommend this dress to anyone who wants to feel glamorous and sexy.

This dress is so unique, and has such a classic presence, all eyes will be on you. I have received so many compliments wearing it! The dress stretches at the waist, the top is loose, and the bottom part stretches and hugs your hips just right. I was comfortable, confident, and felt beautiful all night! This dress is so perfect! I paired it with a leopard calf hair belt and black satin shoes - normally wouldn't pair navy and black, but it worked in this case. I received so many compliments! I love that it is classy with a hint of sexy. For reference, my measurements are 32-26-36, and both the XS and S fit due to the elastic waist. The dress hit at my ankles - again, wouldn't normally wear a dress at this length, but it was fine with the shoes. Would definitely rent this again!!

I rented this dress for a gala that I was volunteering at. The dress code was black tie optional, so I chose this dress because it could be dressed up or down. I am 5'3" and wore the size XS with gold flats. The length of the dress hit right at the ankles and it looked funny with heels, so tall girls beware! Also, the sequin skirt is really just a "panel." The rest of the skirt is made out of the navy fabric. It was windy out and the skirt kept blowing open, revealing that the gold sequins did not go all the way around the underskirt. The navy silk fabric got white marks on it just from pulling it over my head. Overall, it was a very cute dress!

I ended up not wearing this dress (I didn't make it to the wedding), but it was a beautiful dress. It fit perfectly, and was very elegant and classy. I definitely hope to rent this one again. I usually wear a size Small, but the XS fit fine.

Loved this dress. It fit like a comfortable tshirt dress. You only saw a little sliver of sequins when I stood still but it was a nice surprise as I moved around. Everyone who thought I was just wearing a maxi dress, stopped me when they saw it was much more. I wish the sequins ran the full width of the mini skirt instead of half. It made the dress feel unfinished. I also wish the cleaning tag was not on the bottom of the maxi. Every time I walked you could see the tag. This dress was a hit and I would definitely wear it again!

think it would be great during the summer too. Looks like a maxi dress but can be worn to a more formal event because of the skirt underneath. I couldn't wear heels because it would have been too short.

I've never received more compliments! The flirty gold sequin mini under the casual-chic navy maxi is so clever and unique. It's sexy-elegant. I wore the dress with gold strappy sandals, drop gold & black earrings and tons of different gold bracelets. The only thing I didn't like was the elastic waist which looks a bit unfinished, so I tied a black ribbon around my waist which covered it up perfectly! The size was perfect and does give some leeway as the sequin skirt is stretchy. This was my first dress rental with RTR and it was an amazing experience. I was nervous about whether the dresses would fit and whether they would arrive on time, but the dresses were waiting for me when I got to work on the day I ordered them and all of the dresses (including the backup) looked awesome. All around, excellent service and I'm excited to look for my next dress!

Loved the slit, very fun to wear but pretty casual so better for parties, chic dinners etc and not necessarily a dress replacement. Cool though, great casual fun dress.

This dress is really beautiful and unique. However, it was simply too short for my 5'8" frame and 2.5" heels. The gold part was very short on me (I have long legs), making it too risque for the wedding I was hoping to ear this at. But, it's a very fun, unique dress. Great for shorter or even average-height women.
