I choose this dress for a wedding I had in Mexico it was on a vineyard. It was the right length I was looking for. I love the fabric, no amount of pictures can describe the colors and the amazing details on it. It runs very very small I must say. I wish I had ordered one size bigger. I am quite busty so the dress pressed my chest and it look a bit awkward. The straps were too big on me as well, but I just pulled the dress back and then it was ok. I loved that it hid all my baby fat. Overall its a great dress very comfortable, has pockets on it (super plus). It is very unique I think and different from anything I have ever worn on a wedding. I highly recommend it! Felt a little bit like Audrey Hepburn but very high end dress

This dress is gorgeous. Not only is the print unique, the gold and silver bring it to life. The wings of the pegasus have a metallic sheen of their own. The shape and cut are classic and doesn't detract from the "wow" factor that is the print. I ordered both the size 38 and 40. I tried on the 38 during a stylist appointment at the Varick showroom and although it fit, I felt it was a bit tight in the bust. After receiving both sizes at home, I decided to wear the 40 as it was roomier. I received several compliments and felt incredibly confident.

This dress has a very vintage, "Mad Men" quality to it due to the fabric, cut, and handmade quality of the construction. However, it's somehow also modern and different. I really, really loved this rental - the dress is a work of art. I am a solid size 8... a 6 in brands that exaggerate and sometimes a 10 for higher fashion narrow cuts. This is the first dress I have seen in a long time where the 46 (size 8 according to the conversion) was way too big. The size 44 (6) fit well, not tight at all, and I am curvy! The waist is high but not empire, and the skirt is like a bell - big pleats on the front and back in a way that the skirt hangs out stiffly - doesn't hang straight down or twirl. The cut is very flattering but also very different from most of the current closely tailored styles for formal events.

Pros: A beautiful and unique dress. It was perfect for a family celebration where I wanted to look nice while being conservative. A few members of the restaurant staff stopped me to either compliment me, or ask where I got it. I rented both the 46 and the 44. The waistline was a little tight on the 44 so I chose the 46 for more breathing room (I'm a solid 8, but every so often a 6). Weighed 146 at the time of this review. Cons: For a designer dress at this retail price point I would have expected lining, and could not believe that the bottom 3/4's of the dress wasn't lined. The fabric is stiff which is great for the look and structure of the dress, but it makes the inside a little itchy.

The dress was a bit longer than I expected, but I am fairly short (5'1). The straps were also too long, and it was a little too roomie in the bust area. I loved the pattern and the fabric, it is definitely more formal than it looks online. The bustling in the bottom of the dress would be unflattering if your rear was a problem area.

I picked this dress to fit my baby bump at 4 months (with twins) and height. I wore my pre-pregnancy size...so I imagine it runs a little large. There was plenty of room for my bump. I loved the pockets. The fabric is beautiful and very classy. I was able to wear it with a strapless bra and slip. You will want some sort of undergarment as there is no lining - which I thought was a bit weird...and would be itchy without a slip of sorts. While some described the color as gold - I would say the background is a yellow/gold color and the detailing is shimmery white. I wore it with rhinestone/glittery jewelry and black satin peep toes.

Great fit that received tons of compliments. A treat to wear!

This dress is gorgeous, I received many compliments (including some from total strangers) at a large charity event. Fitted at the top, loose/full below the waist. Major plus=has pockets! My first RTR experience, will definitely rent again!

I rented this dress as a backup because it looked intriguing and I thought it would either be the coolest, most unique dress ever, or look like Scarlett O'Hara's curtain dress. One I tried it on it was somewhere in the middle. Did not end up wearing it, though. Fit was fine. I am normally a 4, which translates to a 42, and it fit perfectly in the bodice. The skirt, as other reviewers mentioned, is poofier than it looks in the picture. If you have any butt action in the back, it will look like you have a bustled skirt. As a tall girl with a long torso, length was nice, but anyone under 5'6" definitely should not rent. In person, the fabric is cool but very shiny. The pegasus (pegasuses?) are silver, and their wings are made from a sparkly silver material which was a bit much and is not clear from the photos. I was going to wear this for a rehearsal dinner for a formal wedding but I felt uncomfortable that this dress would look like I was trying to overpower the bride. It definitely makes a statement. Also, on my particular dress, one strap was just a bit longer than the other (maybe 3/4"), so it made the fit look off and the dress look cheaper. On the whole, consider renting if you are tall, have a small butt, and you're not afraid to stand out at the party.

This dress is so cool in person. It has a fab Pegasus print and a bit of glitter thread. Unfortunately the top didn't fit me appropriately - the straps were too long and the chest was baggy. If I hadn't had a backup dress that stunned, I probably could have made this work, but in the end, I sent it back.
