This dress runs a bit small. A size 4 usually fits well with room to spare on me. I didn't have any room to spare in this 42R (size 4). I fell in love with this dress way before I had an occasion to wear it to. I finally had a good reason to rent it recently. I'm so glad I did. It really is unique and fun. Love the leather upper and the linen skirt filled with tulle, it's rock-n-roll meets royalty at the waist. It's a heavy dress and it can get hot quick on the dance floor but this amazing dress is worth the extra effort it takes to bring it to any formal event. I did received lots of compliments but more importantly I felt like a queen. I would love for RTR to add more unique designers and styles like this one. Unfortunately the size 40 would have fit much better, but I was sent a gown with a broken zipper! Thank god there was a back up. The 42 fit fine just a little loose up top. Ladies, this dress is EXTREMELY HEAVY, so don't wear this is you have to do a lot of moving around or you WILL sweat. Fortunately if you are dancing and moving around, this gown has a rugged look to it from the beginning and doesn't feel like a delicate piece of silk that will fall apart. It's already gray and kind of dirty looking so you can wear it without freaking out about it touching anything. FYI it is not as high low as the model pic and in my pic I am holding the gown up to show my shoes. I am 5'5 and had 4 inch heels on and the front of the gown just barely touched the ground. The back will drag, it has a heavy train that people love to step on. If I would have been able to wear the 40 it would have been epic. Oh well, I still felt like a goddess, and everyone had something to say about this gown. Love!!!

Didn't know what to expect as far as sizing so I went with a size 2 but I did the free second size just to be sure. Turned out I fit better in the size 4! This dress is gorgeous and I felt so unique in it! Apart from being a little heavy it was an absolute show stopper at prom!
