I borrowed this gown for a black tie wedding in Cape Cod. Like many other renters, I did not receive the belt so I had to improvise with my own. Luckily I had just the thing. Rose gold metal goes marvelously against the color and texture of this dress. I personally found the fit to be a bit small up top. I have a wide ribcage and could not zip up into my usual size 6. Fortunately since they didn't have the 8, I borrowed a 10 as backup. That size worked really well and it was very form fitting. The slit was very fun! It goes to kid thigh but there was at no time when I felt exposed. The colors aren't as contrasting as what it is in the photo, but it does photograph well. I guess the main takeaway is: say yes to this dress, but watch out if you have a big bust or ribcage.

The backup size wasn't available, and might have fit alright too, but I probably would have worn the 8 still. The zipper was hard to unzip off the hanger, and me! This dress does shown some wear, but it was minimal. I wish the belt was still with it, that would have added a nice tough. The slit isn't too daring, and when seated, you have plenty of material to cover if desired.

I wore this dress to my Senior prom, normally my pants size is about a 5-7 I was a little skeptical about getting a seize 0... Since I HAD to have this dress and it was the last size for the date I needed. When it arrived it fit absolutely perfect (arrived a day early btw). The design and color of the dress was so unique.. The compliments I received throughout the night were ridiculous. Everyone absolutely loved it, including myself:) totally wishing that I could keep it I loved it so much. The only con about the dress is you can't raise your arms up all the way because the little shoulder cuffs were a little uncomfortable at times. To sum it up, I would greatly recommend this dress. Had such an amazing night and I felt so beautiful.

This dress is gorgeous and well-built. Honestly, the most beautiful thing I have ever worn, and it's pretty comfortable! It's interesting and modern, but still classic. I really didn't want to send this dress back. If you have any excuse to rent this dress, DO IT.

I had just had a baby 4 months ago when I wore this. I was very self conscience because I hadn't lost the weight as fast as I did with my first child. I was also very unsure of what size I am currently. Reading the reviews really helped me. I'm 5'6 about 140 (with a baby belly) and the 8 fit. I might have been more comfortable with a 10, but I think that's my own perception. It was easy to walk in, and I really felt like a million bucks. I highly recommend this dress Also the 8L was the only available 8 and I probably could have done an 8R

This dress was great and I ended up wearing it for New Year's Eve even though it was my backup dress. The fabric was gorgeous in person and I got compliments all night! It was very comfortable and I was able to wear the dress without a bra since straps would have shown given the neckline. I would consider ordering the 4L instead if I was going to rent the dress again, but I enjoyed not having to worry about snagging my heel on the back of this dress the way I have with some previous gown rentals ....also, selita ebanks recently wore the same dress to an event- so you know it has to be fabulous !!!

This dress is really beautiful. It is really snug through the bodice, so I was glad I got a size up. It drapes beautifully and is very flattering. The slit is pretty high - I am 5'8 and it came up to mid-thigh, so shorter girls should be aware of that. I wore 3 inch heels and the length was perfect. Colors are gorgeous and it is surprisingly comfortable.

This was my backup dress after my first choice was returned damaged. I couldn't have been happier with the way it turned out though! I ordered a 2R and a 4R. I usually am a 0 or 2, but I wore the 4 for this dress. The stitching for the 2 was tight around the waist. I am 5'4 and wore about 3 inch heels which was perfect. I received so many compliments and could not have been happier with this rental. Thanks RTR!

I had so much fun wearing this beautiful and unique gown to a gala. The fit and length was perfect and it was so comfortable to move around in. The customer service at Rent the Runway is amazing so if this is your first time renting, don't be nervous because they will take care of you and make sure you are happy with what you are wearing. Perfect for a black tie wedding. Comfortable and different.

I'm 5'2 and I wore 3 inch heels, which weren't enough. I had to tuck in about 2inches of material near the waist so that I could wear it to the wedding. If you're vertically challenged like me, consider at least 4-5 inch heels/platforms-- or tuck in like me. Wasn't a big deal and nobody noticed. Other than the length, fits true to size. The dress came with a belt but I opted not to use it because I had to tuck in. Material was beautiful. It felt nice and the compliments were endless. When the dress originally came in the mail, the dress appeared darker than what the website displayed. The size 2 had a more brighter color than my size 0, but it was too big. However, when I took pictures during the event, the dress wasn't as dark! I'm very pleased with the pictures.

This dress really stood out in the crowd! It was fun and different! Thought it a bit strange that I only received one belt with two different sized dresses. Ended up wearing the larger size because the shoulder cut-outs laid flatter.

I rented this dress for a Black Tie Gala. I originally had rented two other dresses instead, but there were issues with my rental. RTR has amazing customer service and was able to help me rent a substitute dress for the event. This dress is beautiful. The pattern is fun and the neckline is very unique. I typically wear between a 2 and a 4, and the 4 fit perfectly. However, I am only 5"4' and the dress was relatively short. I had to buy 2 inch heels to make it work. I paired my own jeweled belt with it and it worked out perfectly.

It was a gorgeous dress but runs very small.

This was such an amazing and classy dress. Seriously got compliments all night long - from friends, coworkers, and even the event staff! So elegant but has a little edge. Never wanted to take it off!

The dress came true to size. I am usually a 2 or 4 and the 4 ended up fitting me perfectly. I am 5'3'' and with tall high heels the length was just right. very comfortable dress to wear all day. Absolutely loved everything about it!

I'm 5'1", I wore it with 3" heels and it was obnoxiously long. I struggled hemming it with fashion tape. Had it been shorter, it would have been the most perfect gown for me. It was really comfortable and the silk just felt luxurious. Very light. I usually wear anything between size 0 and 2 and I wore 2, because it was the smallest available. There was some misunderstanding between the hotel and RTR which resulted in me not receiving my gowns until the day of the event and even then I ended up having to go personally to the ups facility to get my package. Both the hotel (a W) and RTR had assured me there won't be an issue ahead of time and both claimed the issue was not on their side when it happened. No one took responsibility, so keep in mind that these things happen if you are ordering your gowns to be received at the front desk of a hotel. Luckily, the dress worked out when I finally had it a few hours before the event.

A little snug on bust and waist. petite length is perfect for 5'3 with heels.

I wore this when my husband and I chaperoned Prom on my birthday. It had to be stylish, but age-appropriate and conservative enough for a teacher around her students. This dress was perfect. Comfortable and chic, but not revealing. I felt amazing my b-day, and got many compliments from the teen crowd.

It fit like a glove I just wish that the belt came with the dress. Its very true to size.

Chose to go a size up based on previous comments and that seemed good. I was 4 months post baby and the fit and print were very flattering. I wore 31/2" heels and the dress just brushed the floor and I didn't wear the belt because I didn't get one with the dress. I wore it for a late spring military formal. If you are looking for something you wouldn't normally pick and want to enjoy playing dress up this dress is for you.

This was not my favorite rental, but I received so many compliments. It's very light and comfortable. It was pretty tight around my ribcage so I would suggest sizing up. The belt that came with it looked great but I couldn't breathe with it on, so I decided not to wear it. The slit is high enough to be sexy but not so high that I felt inappropriate at a formal work event. The length was a little short, but perfect with 2 inch heels. I'm only 5'4" so it was fine. Just something to consider if you're taller. Also, I was able to get away with not wearing a bra which is always a win in my opinion. :) Overall it was a lovely dress.

This gown by Cadena was gorgeous. The pattern, the symmetry, the fabric and the cut. I ended up wearing this dress with flats even though I ordered a long. The detail and fabric on this gown was an eye catcher. With the thigh high slot, it was sexy without being revealing. I loved this gown, just wish I was a little longer! The floral is even more elegant in person!!!!

Fit like a glove, could wear a strapless bra, the skirt flowed beautifully but didn't interfere with dancing. Long enough for a 5'11 gal to wear a 2 1/2 inch heel. Lightweight and so easy to wear.

Beautiful, comfortable, and conservative. Wore it for a wedding that included a temple component - the slit is hardly noticeable so there was no issue. That became a bummer at the reception - ultimately it appeared more gownish than displayed with the stock photo - but still, an amazing, comfortable dress.

This dress is beautiful. You can wear a strapless bra with it. It fits true to size. You can't lift your arms up over your head because of the straps but that's not a big deal. It moves elegantly. It has a breezy flow when you walk. The slit lets your leg peek out each step but the slit isn't so high that you have to worry about your cookie showing:-) It's also not too long. I am 5'4 and if you wear a 3 inch heel the length will be perfect. The silver belt was missing but they had one for me to borrow at the RTR store in Las Vegas. Note to RTR headquarters-please keep the belts separate from the dresses when they go in for dry cleaning. I think they are getting lost in the cleaning process. Thanks!

I wore this to a friend's conservative black tie wedding and it was beautiful. The only 2 sizes available when I rented it were the 4R and the 6P. The 4R fit like a glove, but was about 6 inches too long, even with 4inch heels. The 6P was the perfect length but was too big on top, so I went with the 4R and despite stepping on it a few times, it worked out great. The side slit and shoulder cutouts give it just the right amount of sexiness.

The dress was beautiful-perfect for a black tie wedding. Darker in person than in pictures, but still really nice. It was a bit tight in the rib cage area, but still fit. I wore with 4" heels and the height was just right. Compliments all night!

The dress is tight from the waist up. If you are busty, this may be slightly uncomfortable. I'm a 32DDD, and while the zipper took some manipulating, once it was zipped, it was fine, but there was no extra room. from the waist down, it's an easy fit and moves beautifully. I'm 5'2" and wore 4 1/2" heels, and the length was fine.
