I LOVE THIS PIECE! I wish I had full body pics, by myself, to show off the dress. It was a heavy dress and the fabric was wonderful. Honestly, pictures don't do the dress enough justice. The amount of compliments were overwhelming. The waist IS tight, but even after a night of eating and drinking, it was still fine and not too uncomfortable. Now the hard part was dealing with the boobs. LOTS OF CLEAVAGE and LOTS OF THIGH. I used sticky boobs to perk up the girls a little bit and I made the mistake of wearing bright blue undies! Should have worn something skin color or black because one person did comment that they saw something bright blue under the dress when I was moving around erratically.

This dress was absolutely stunning! I felt like a superstar in it. Everyone complimented me on the dress. The design and color of the dress just grabs your attention. I am usually a size 2 in dresses but I'm glad I got the size 4 (since the reviews said it ran small). It's true the belt is very unforgiving but I think it really added to the dress so it was worth sucking it in all night haha! I think it helped that I don't have a big bust because otherwise the dress can stray away from its classiness. I can't stress how gorgeous this dress is. I wish I could buy it!!

I've never felt as glamorous as I did in this dress. Not the most flattering in the shoulders and arms - might have been better if I had a smaller size, but my typical size was not available. Slit in dress felt too high but didn't show as much as I felt it did. Plunging neck bra is sufficient for the cleavage. Gorgeous and fun dress. Will rent again for the right occasion.

I wore this dress for a wedding in Santa Barbara. The wedding was outdoors on a lawn, evening reception indoors. I wanted something flexible enough to move between the two and this did it. The wedding was warm and sunny but this was still cut to allow air to move. The evening was cool and the sleeves were perfect. I did pin the top and bottom slightly and good thing, the SB breezes would have given everyone a bit of a show. Would highly recommend this dress for an event that you want to be all class but still be noticed.

the fabric and elegance outweighs everything. I wasn't prepared for the slit and I am a very vivacious dancer so I had to be careful, but a showstopper.

This dress was the perfect formal attire for a NYE wedding. Its thick material was great for the cold weather, but kept it sleek with the high slit. Would definitely rent again!!

It was such a beautiful and sultry dress to wear. I would say the middle is tight, but I'm also smaller in the waist so it wasn't that bad and helped create an hour glass frame. I did pin the slit a little bit only because I would be dancing the whole night and didn't want to accidentally show anything. Beautiful construction of the dress though and the color was really nice for a fall wedding.

This dress was EVERYTHING. I literally got compliments from every person I encountered including an 85 year old woman. This dress is 2500 dollars and I can see why. The cut, color, everything about it is just stunning and the most flattering thing ever. I have a tiny waist, large hip/butt area and this was perfect. You can't have any larger than a 29 inch waist and be comfortable in this. I wore the 42 and my waist is 28.5 and it fit perfect. The top looked best without a bra on me and I pinned the slit because it came up really far on the leg. The one disappointing thing is that the dress came in with a broken zipper so I had to slide it over my head. Thankfully I have a small upper body so it worked fine. I literally contemplated asking RTR to let me buy the damaged dress at a discount because it was that stunning.

I wore this dress to a fall wedding in the mountains. It was perfect! I received so many compliments throughout the evening. You will definitely stand out. The length was perfect. I'm 5'9" and I wore heels but with the cut of the dress it will work for almost any height. The only con was the size. I had ordered a 6 and an 8 as my back up. The 6 fit perfectly but it didn't come with the belt/band for some reason. I did not like how the dress looked without it so I wore the 8 instead. The 8 was somewhat baggy in the shoulders and bust. I had to use more tape then I wanted to in order to keep the top from hanging open. Other than the 6 not being complete this was an amazing dress and I was sad I had to send it back.

This is one of the most elegant and sophisticated gowns I have ever worn! I love this color and the cut of this gown. This runs true to size and is great for any cup size. Though it is fitted at the natural waist, the fabric is stretchy so there is comfortable room for curves. This gown may be worn with a standard bra. Pair this with simple accessories, like the Celestial Earrings by Elizabeth & James Accessories.

Everywhere I went, people were stopping to tell me how beautiful the dress was and how it was the best dress of the night! So many people asked me where I found it! It's truly a warm dress but was 60 degrees the night I wore it and was perfectly fine. I would not count on being able to zip or fasten the belt alone. Pros- it's stunning, incredibly flattering (I'm 5'7") and so uniquely glamorous. Cons- it's tough to sit in (I just pulled all the flaps of the dress over) and the wind is super tricky- Just hold the front pieces together. I'm a 2 or a 4 and the 4 was perfect. It does not run small at all. I knew people were watching me all night... this dress is a winner.

This dress is eye catching! It is pretty low cut and I was out of my comfort zone a bit but it was still classy and I wasn't falling out of it. I wouldn't recommend this for bustier ladies. Everyone will be stopping you to complement you so be prepared for that. I paired it with a silver cuff and diamond necklace and earrings. It was flawless. The waist wasn't super tight like the other reviews. It was perfect for me. I am a zero or two and the equivalent to a zero fit perfect. Rent it!

fits sooooooooo tight around the waist. my goodness. definitely had to skip a meal for this. I would size up if they have it available. definitely needed help to zip into the dress but I got compliments on this piece through out the night. love it!

Absolutely love this gown. The cut is so flattering and has just enough stretch that with the thicker fabric it really pulls you in - the belt also makes your waist look super tiny! I tried on the 40R and the 38R - both fit, but I went with the larger size because I knew I would be eating at the event :) Also, due to the thick fabric I didn't have to wear a bra. I was able to get away with this for an engagement party with booties and a leather jacket, but I think the length makes it pretty versatile. Love!

Gorgeous dress! The material is warm. Great for a fall/winter wedding. I did have to adjust the top since it was low and the slit was high on the left side. Other than that the dress is more grey than purple as seen on the original photos. The waist was tight so you might have to size up.

I loved the quality, length and color. Only downside is it didn't ship with the belt! Would have loved to seen what it looked like with a belt.

I'm so in love with this dress. It was sophisticated yet sexy. I wish I had taken more photos in it but was so short on time! I wore it to a work banquet. It moves so well when you're walking in it, so goddess-like! Especially if you have long legs, the peak-a-boo of your entire leg when you walk is just absolutely stunning. As far as the fit, it took me a while to get used to it. Just like the other reviews, the waist is very unforgiving. You won't be able to zip it up yourself. The neckline is very low, I actually used fashion tape to put the neckline higher because I wore it to a work event. Finally, the slit in the front gets tricky when you try to sit because it's very easy to show your entire crotch by the way the folds of the dress lay. Wasn't the most comfortable dress to wear but it wow'd everyone. My husband absolutely loved it. My only complaint is that the dress didn't come with the belt shown in the picture which I was super disappointed. RTR has since made it up to me for this mistake so I appreciate the great customer service. Overall, gorgeous dress. I will probably rent it again I loved it so much.

Rented for a night at the symphony. Was initially drawn the the unique fabric and flattering silhouette. Wear a 6 in street, borrowed 6 & 8, and wore 8. Felt fashion forward without being bulky. With nude heels and a blowout, you'll quickly be feeling yourself in this dress. That being said, sitting in this dress is a nightmare, even with fashion tape. With the way the fabric is sewn, you'll sit with one leg most likely uncovered and the other hiding under a bunch of fabric - all while your boobs are trying to come out to play. Also, @renttherunway where is the belt that the dress is pictured with? Neither of mine came with it.

I ordered this as a backup dress for a wedding. I was hoping the fit would be a bit more forgiving with the benefit of full length arm coverage. Unfortunately, this dress is surprisingly heavy and thick. The waist band was pretty tight, which only made the volume of all the layers around my hips accentuate my abdomen more. Disappointingly unflattering. This might look ok for someone thinner or with narrower hips.

Love love this dress...the color is gorgeous...kind of like a grayish-blue. However I will say that the waist area fits extremely tight around the belt. And the top is low cut so if you're busty like me, plan to tape your boobs if you don't want them popping out like crazy. I would recommend a size up for sure, and you'll love it.

So chic! This dress is a stunner! I was wearing it to a work related formal event so I had to pin the front a little as well as the slit. But it fit like a glove and I felt awesome in it. I am 5'3", 32DD, and currently 123 lbs and I wore a size 4. The only small issue was that the top half of the waistband would flip over when I was sitting, making me feel like maybe it was too tight but I think a larger size would not have been right when I was standing. Love, love, love this dress!

Gorgeous and glamorous. I had to replace the fashion tape only once throughout the evening, and I needed to constantly adjust the skirt while sitting. Otherwise, it was a complete win! I loved the long sleeves which kept me warm enough in the cooler evening without requiring a jacket.

I LOVE THIS DRESS. It is so unique. It is incredibly well made. There is amazing attention to detail. For example, for the back zipper, there is a panel that snaps over & covers it, making the dress look seamless! The overlap of the fabric is perfect to give you a greek goddess look. The cut allows a sexy peek of thigh! I am short 5'2'' and am always hesitant to rent the longer dresses, but with heels this dress was the perfect length and the longest part in the back just skimmed the floor. It would work well for taller gals too. I would say this dress is best for a curvy gal with a small waist (think Kardashian) because you do need some cleavage to fill in bust area because the cut is pretty low. Also, there is NO give in the waist (its tight!). There is some room in the hips / butt. The fabric is pleated and is a gorgeous color. The fabric is very warm, it retains body heat. NOTE: this dress requires help to zip! as a single gal, it always annoys me when I can't zip up my own dress. but this beauty is worth the zipping trouble. NOTE: The fabric definitely retains heat, I felt very warm in it just standing there, I can only imagine how hot it gets when dancing. Only wear this in cool weather. I ultimately couldn't wear it to the wedding because the temp was so warm that day. :( NOTE: This dress is great for flaunting your curves, especially if you also have a small waist. This dress has a very small/fitted waist. SIZE UP! I am curvy but short 5'2'', and between a 0/2 in dresses. I find that most of the RTR dresses I rent are a bit baggy. This dress in 34R fit like a glove. There is "give" in the chest and hips/butt but NO give in the waist. If you want to feel and look like a Kardashian on the red carpet, rent this dress.

This dress is beautiful fabric is unbelievable! now the zipper even with the dress on the hanger is a BIG stress we could no make it work while on me on top the dress was delivered DIRTY it had Body Odor which I would have the dress cleaned but the zipper would not work.

I've loved this dress for so long so when I did unlimited I was so happy I could rent it. There was only the US 4 available so I went with it even though the reviews mentioned it was tight. I didn't end up wearing it because it was so tight on my chest/back that I was afraid of sitting down throughout the night and overall stretch. Also, the dress is extremely well made and thick so I rented for an April wedding and was worried about being hot dancing all night. I am going to rent again in the fall for another wedding I have and size up because it really is a beautiful dress. Also, the shoulders are a little puffy and the sleeves have an elastic band at the end that I didn't expect so if the sleeves are long it is kind of hard to pull them up without looking bunchy.

All of the other fit reviews are pretty spot on. I'm 5'4", 125lbs, usual size 4. I wanted to wear the 36R because it fit much better in the bust-area, but ended up in the 38R because I didn't have anyone to help me zip up the dress. Both zippers get completely stuck around the waist-line which is a little snug because of the cinched waist style. The waist does make the dress very flattering though. Also, it's obvious the dresses have been worn / cleaned a few times which completely changed the functionality of the dresses, think that led to my zipper debacle. That said, I felt beautiful. It is a gorgeous dress.

I received this dress brand-new with tags, everything fit except the waist. It has a band that makes it very very tight, the zipper wouldn't go up. Had to return it without wearing it

Way too small

Size up.. I have broad shoulders, would otherwise be a 4 in a dress except I size to a 6 for my shoulders. So this was perfect in my waist (which is again, more a 4).. and my arms at the shoulders to under my arm were KILLING me midway through the night. The seam was pushing into me. Also, very hard to sit in as it opens straight up to your panty line... and almost like origami to keep it together while seated.

I was upset that this dress did not fit properly. It was very tight in the waist.

This dress was really nice but quite uncomfortable. The front was vet revealing and the dress skits at the bottom were strange. The arms seams were so tight I had a mark on shoulder. Material was nice, but based on comfort, would not rent again.

I found this dress very interesting, but not suited for me, it made me appear heavier than I was from all the layers and composition of the fabric. I chose to wear a different dress to my event.
