A little tight in the chest area. Loved how I was able to dress up this casual black dress for a date night

I loved this dress. I wore it several times during my rental. Once to work on a Friday (more casual) and once to a concert. It is super comfortable and chic. Would definitely rent again! I'm 5'10 and wore tights under it and felt appropriate. I also have wide shoulders and a full chest and the medium for me well.

This dress ran a little big, but it works for the bohemian silhouette. I wore it for dinner and drinks with friends. I would not recommend for a formal event, but great for brunch, dinner or low key party.

I rented this with my unlimited membership and i wore it for Christmas dinner. It was so comfortable and very flattering for such a loose fitting dress. I'm a big fan of free people because their items are so versatile. I wore this with hair down and studded flat Frye boots. I could easily wear will high heeled booties and my hair up for a chic and dressy look. Side note, I ate so much food and didn't feel constricted and even still felt "pretty". It's very flowery but the chest area is tight. If you have a large chest and are debating, size up!

Fit loose but not a bag-- really liked the arms tbh. Good length and liked the elastic-y parts-- created a good shape. This dress was great to wear to the office and then immediately to the office holiday party, comfy and not too flashy. The embroidery was fortunately what I expected-- not yellow and white, but a pale green and light blue. Rented to be an "eh" dress and it did the job wonderfully. Might rent again

I love its boho style. It's true to size but the sleeves are a too long - I don't think a size down would help...

This Free People Dress is so comfortable. It runs large, for reference I'm 5'6- 158lbs- 36D normally a size 10 and I wore the small and still had lots of room. It's very forgiving everywhere so it would fit any body shape. I wore it once with Adidas tennis shoes and when it got a bit cooler I wore it with black tights and brown uggs. Very versatile can be dressed up or down. Every time I wore this dress I got so many compliments! If you're considering this dress rent it, you will be glad you did! Just size down!! I will definitely rent again! PROS: low maintenance, no fighting with zippers, no spanx or special bra needed, forgiving everywhere, lightweight, versatile. CONS: none

This is a fun Free People dress, but not my favorite by any means. I had a hard time keeping the top button in the back done up, which was kinda annoying but not the end of the world. I forgot that FP always runs a size big, so I probably should have gone down to a small but the med worked fine, it was just a little loose and blousy at the bottom. The top is fitted and the cuffs at the sleeves are fitted as well. The arms were also big and blousy, but thats the style of the dress and didn't bother me. It did look cute with the sleeves pushed up a bit and that helps with the fullness of the sleeves if they are too much for you. Overall, cute dress but not worth buying or renting again IMO

This dress is amazing! I am between a small and medium, but busty. I usually wear a small in Free People but couldn't rent a small, so I got a M. I loved it so much I kept it! The smocking at the top is tan/camel and grey. I wore it with grey tall boots when i tried it on, but with whiskey riding boots and black leggings to lunch. It's so versatile and easy to wear! I said it ran large, because it's very flowy and the sleeves are really long. However, at a 34DDD, I did go ahead and keep the medium because I'm top heavy. Love this dress (and I swore I wasn't keeping anything when my shipment came)!

I liked this dress and paired it with black tights and black shoes. The bodice was a little small for me, but the body of the dress fit well. The sleeves were gigantic and I had to roll them up. They were almost as if the elastic in them had been stretched out. I would rent this dress again.

Bump friendly and flows beautifully! I wore this for one of my baby showers. The medium fit great, but it was a little short on my 35 week baby bump, so I opted for the large. I rated 4 stars because the arms are super big. I took another reviewer suggestion and pulled up the sleeves so it didn't look awkward. Received many compliments, would rent again.

Fun stylish smocky Everyday (fat day ...lets be honest we all have them) dress ...that successfully hid a multidude of holiday eating sins! While still having some trendy panache. My fave dress? Nah. Best made, nah. But truly a wardrode purposeful dress and i had fun with it as i collect vintage assesories and jewelry. Add textured tights, fun boots - i wore a silly mink hat & baroque earrings to have coffee with an LA client in the east village...fun coffee attire. Did my hubby like it, now thats a big thumbs down. This is like i said- a girls "comfort" dress: ))) and thats a nice in itself; )

This is a great dress that is really comfortable to wear. The only downside is the sleeve cuffs are really big (like twice the size they should be) and slide over my hands. Otherwise the dress fits great.

So, I'm on the fence with this one. It is very light and super comfortable. I wore in the winter with black tights and boots and it was fine, but light for warmer weather too. But, the sleeves were out of control. They were super pouffy and too wide and floppy to wear down, but I was able to push them up and wear as pictured. Not my favorite rental, but cute for something different and the joy of Unlimited!!

Not too short. not too long. Paired with black tights and flat knee-high boots. Easy to wear. A simple dress with lovely details. If you don't like poofy sleeves or have short arms, this may not be the dress for you.

Rented this dress for a show at Red Rocks Amphitheater. It was PERFECT! It was just the right temp to wear longer sleeves and not feel hot. It isn't a heavy dress and though it was a bit wrinkled from packing, it didn't need to be ironed since it had somewhat of a boho look anyway. I always size down with Free People and this is no exception. Would definitely rent again!

Comfortable, adorable and high quality material that was very breathable. I was worried that I would get hot, but not at all. Wore with tassel earrings that matched the smocking color. Wore it to a concert and another night out to dinner. Would buy this one.

I loved the smocking and SLEEVE DRAMA. I am well into my third tri of pregnancy and loved that this hid my petite bump (hey sometimes you want to go incognito). This was way short on me and I'm 5'8" - got lots of compliments on my cute top, ha. It worked for work and was super comfy. The sleeves weren't as excessive as some people said, either. Be warned it is slightly sheer and definitely needed tights. I would have purchased but the price point is still a little high for polyester.

This is a fun, festive, flowing and flirty little number. I really liked it except that the decorative elastic cuffs were all stretched out. I fixed it with some carefully hidden safety pins. The cuffs are key to making this dress stand out--they are long and decorative with billowy sleeves. I did receive many compliments and if I rented it again, I would go a size smaller. The fabric was silky and fine for both work and a casual party afterwards.

This dress is extremely comfortable! The additional detail on the top and sleeves make this LBD have a bit of flair. I wore this to brunch with some girlfriends and everyone loved it.

After reading the reviews, I decided to size down from a M to S and I thought it fit great. Yes, the part of the sleeve around your wrist is loose, but it didn't bother me too much. I paired with simple black booties and was ready for work - I'm a wedding planner and live in black. The material was great quality and I loved the smocking detail.

Smocking is well done and the dress is a nice medium weight.

The dress was really light and easy. The arms were huge, though. I had to roll them up a bit, which detracted from the cute cuff detail, but worked well. Really enjoyed the dress overall!

this dress is fun and comfortable. it's not fitted, and runs on the larger side, not bad though, and I didn't feel like I was wearing a tent. the smocking at the chest and wrist is a great detail, and elevates the shapeless black dress a bit. I thought the wrist would be more elastic, but they were not,and through the day I felt like the writs "grew" also, on the chest smocking, the threads were coming out at a few places, not completely noticeable, but I'm rating it 4 stars for that. (dress still had tags on it when i got it)

I couldn't figure out how to make this one work. The sleeves are really long and REALLY PUFFY. The style was just not for me.
