Amazing Coat!
This jacket was amazing! I rented it for my vacation to New York over Thanksgiving and it was perfect. The coat went well with many different outfits and was very warm. I felt like I was wearing a cozy blanket. It definitely runs a little big so get a size down. I would highly recommend this!!

Warm, Cozy, Perfect
I rented this through Unlimited for my vacation to Ireland. I live in Florida and don't own any warm sweater coats, and this was PERFECT for my trip. It was so warm and cozy and right on trend (and acted as a perfect blanket/pillow for the flight!). It kept me warm and dry on the cold and drizzly Irish coast, and I love how it layered. If I lived in a colder climate I could definitely see owning this! It did run large - I'm usually a S, and the XS still had plenty of space, even in the shoulders.

I took this coat to Ireland and England. Wore it to nice dinners, the theater and because it was so comfortable, I also wore it to fly back. It was a great coat.

Probably my most favorite thing I don't own.
If I could live in this jacket I would. I was worried that it would be too baggy or maybe even too much fabric but it's perfect. Today I worn it as my winter coat with a tee shirt and some suede boots and felt that I still looked "put together." It's tight enough in the arms and short enough in the shoulders that I don't think it makes me look big. Words can't explain my love for this coat. If I had enough money to buy it out right I would.

This coat was very warm it was 40 degrees and I was toasty. I would say it runs a little big but I think it's supposed to be baggy I felt chic- I wore a black tunic instead which looked better under the coat

HUUUUUUUGE
This is a heavy, heavy sweater...it is definitely more of a coat than an indoor duster type sweater. The lining is a herringbone fabric, there seems to be an interior layer, and then a heavy wool blanket type material on the outside. I would normally wear a Large, so based on feedback from others, I sized down to a medium. As it turns out, I’d say anyone who is a 12 or less will want to order a Small. Crazy right? If you are a size 0, 2, 4, I’d think this would swim on you.

Fit is pretty true to size. Was longer on me than the pic shown b/c I'm short, but wasn't too long.

I can't help it - I love wearing blankets as outerwear!
Fit: Runs large and long - I am 5'1" and the bottom of the coat hit me mid/low calf. It is designed to be baggy, which is a style I like to wear despite my height and smaller frame. Fellow shorties who don't gravitate towards the oversized will probably feel over-powered and not like wearing this. Material: This material feels soft like a nice lived-in, wool blanket. Any breeze blows it open since there are no buttons but because it kept warm otherwise I didn't mind holding it closed when it was windy (I rented this at the end of February in New York City). Style: Without really planning, I ended up with a 90's look - I wore the coat with jeans, Doc Martens, a baggy black tshirt and a gray beanie hat.

I LOVE this item. I could have worn it every day. I live in Wisconsin where it is COLD - and this was just the perfect piece to cuddle up in. I received so many compliments on it - can function as a jacket or a sweater over leggings. I am 5'3" and this hit mid-calf on me - longer than the model photo shows. Will be renting again - I would consider purchasing this in the future!

No front closure but cozy and warm
EDIT: Changed review from 4 stars to 5 stars! Rented it again (and am wearing it as I type). This time, the pockets exist! Maybe last time the other pockets weren't meant to be sewn over, maybe the jacket arrived like that and RTR hadn't opened the pockets yet. Only thing now is I wish this had a front closure so I don't have to hold it closed as I walk. But it's soooo nice on a really cold day to feel like I'm still in bed wrapped in my quilt even as I am out and about. Very cozy, and I love how long the sleeves are. I'm very tall and usually medium-sized for jackets, but this "small" is quite large and fits great. Original review: I was shocked that the pockets were sown over and were fake; for outerwear made with such bulky material, I don't see why this is necessary in a fashion-sense...and it's certainly annoying in a practical sense. And it's too bad with such an overly large fit that there's no front closure, so I had to hold it closed every time I moved. But for all that complaining, this is a fantastically soft and cozy jacket (blanket?) for lounging around your home or office on a chilly day. It's also great (especially with the length) for walking outside on blustery cold days; it really stops the wind. (Again, the annoyance is just that you have to hold the jacket closed.) I ended up keeping this jacket for a week longer than I expected because it was so cozy and I just never wanted to send it away.

Stylist Review!
A cozy and easy to pair coat by Free People. While it is meant to have an over-sized look, this knee length piece runs quite large and we do recommend sizing down. There is ample room in the arms, bust, waist, and hips. I have pretty wide wingspan and the arm length was long enough and covered my wrists. Great for fall or early winter. Wear it with a daytime outfit or for a casual night out.

Wore it to NYC
I wanted to love this and it was warm, and intentionally went up a size to wear sweaters underneath. It was so long on my that it kept my legs warm but I had trouble reaching the pockets easily. When you walk a lot in NYC you get warm so it was good that it was open in the front, but if you want to be secure it doesn't have any closing hooks or zipper. I liked it but didn't love it.

Totally got asked on a date because of this coat!
At first I was surprised that the fabric was so fuzzy, I was expecting more of a structured fit with a tight wool and it felt a bit shabby, like wearing a blanket. Upside though, it is SO cozy. I love the length and the pattern, and grew on me after wearing it a few days. Also, true story, I had stranger walk up to me and say "nice coat" and asked me on a date. Moral of the story, you might feel like a bag lady wearing this coat, but it apparently still looks super chic!

Loved this sweater, did not want to give back!
The fit on this chunky cozy sweater is definitely larger than normal but I think that's kinda the point of the look :) It was so easy to through on and feel both warm and stylish I did not want to return it. My only compliant is that it seemed quite worn in.

The sweater is more like a coat. It is heavy, but beautifully lined on the inside. Great for fall. Its tough to wear in the winter because you would need to layer with an additional coat.

Warm but BIG!
This is a nice warm sweater and the interesting pattern but neutral colors make it go with a lot of different outfits. However, it's HUUUUGE. After reading other reviews I went with a S (I'm generally between S/M) thinking that it would be a bit oversized and comfy. But no, it was just too big. Be bold and really order down!

Coziest sweater ever!
I wore this sweater/coat for the holidays, and it was SO comfortable! I loved wrapping myself in it and it looked great, too. It is huge though! I usually wear a large and got this in L, and it was like a big drapey bathrobe, which was part of the reason why I loved it, but made it a bit awkward to wear. There are also no fasteners on the sweater, so you have to wear it open, which is why it makes a better sweater/coat than an actual coat.

Awesome but not for everyone
I SO wanted this look to work. I think if you have broader shoulders this sweater gives you a bulky, homeless chic looked which FreePeople can fall into sometimes. I rocked it regardless because the print is so cool but keep in mind this makes you look 3x bigger than you are. It is also incredibly warm - almost too warm to a point that you cant wear anything but a t-shirt underneath it. Rent if you are going somewhere cold and use as your jacket!

A bit baggy and coaty so decide in advance if it's an indoor or outdoor look you are going for. I wore it inside all day with black boots and skinny Jeans. Should have gone to a small. If it had been an outside thing the Medium would have been ok
