The fabric is worn looking, but I think that is how it is suppose to be- more causal. I loved the dress so much I wore it to our photos on the beach. It covers up all the hard body parts while still showing a lot of skin.

Loved this dress! It was a thicker, heavier fabric so I didn't have to worry about the wind blowing up the dress as it is short. It stayed perfectly in place and was tight enough that I didn't have to wear a bra underneath

Ran true to size and fit like a glove! Hid any problem areas and had impeccable detailing throughout ! I would never had thought a dress that had ruching, bell sleeves, floral details, over the shoulder and cut out stitching you would be appropriate for a back yard BBQ but this dress can be dressed up or down! Everything on this piece worked! The only warning I do have is our weather was a dreary, rainy, cold day in late August so maybe rethink this one if you're going to an outside scorcher- material is very thick. PERFECT for anything fall.

I loved this dress so much I bought it! Hits right above the knee and the top stays up super well. I wore it with nude flat sandals, but you could easily dress it up. I could see how someone with a bigger chest might find it revealing or someone with a smaller chest find it doesn't stay up well but for me it was perfect. It is thick, so great for an AC'ed office in the summer and will work great into the fall.

Rented this just for a casual everyday dress. Ended up taking it with me on a trip to Boston. It is pretty thick fabric but doesn't feel heavy. If I rent it again I would get a smaller size because I did feel it was a bit large. It's super flattering and comfortable, really easy to wear. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars is because it was a little big. But other than that, loved it!

I fell so in love with this dress that I immediately ordered it (in red)! I find that Free People often runs large, but I was happy to learn that this dress fit true to size. The smocked bodice held everything in and stayed perfectly off shoulder with no need for adjusting. The fabric feels high quality and is quite heavy so you don't have to worry about your dress flying up in a breeze. The bell sleeves and pockets are to die for!

Super comfy dress! I wore it for a day out on vacation. Loved the boho vibe! It was comfortable enough to walk all over Austin on a hot day. Rent it!

Rented for a concert in mid-July. GREAT summer dress. Shoulders stayed in place, even during dancing. Fabric was thick but not stifling. True to size for Free People, if you've never worn Free People size down.

This was a great dress just wish it was a bit longer. I had to make sure I did not bend the wrong way so no one could see up the dress. Some off the shoulder dresses don't stay on my well but this one held on nicely. Received many compliments. Loved it.

I wore this to a country music concert in New Orleans. My only complaint is that the material is very heavy, so it would've been warm during the day. Luckily, our event was indoors, so it was great in the a/c. The fabric had a denim feel/look to it. I loved the bell sleeves and the embroidered flowers. It is a "mini", so it ran shorter on me (5'7"). I felt it was true to size.

Very cute dress that was super comfy! Unfortunately I didn't realize how thick the material was. I would say it could have easily fit a medium as well. Cute for a casual party or just a comfy travel outfit.

Lovely and dress, especially if you adore the bare shoulders style. It is rather heavyweight, which made it somewhat inapt for daytime beachgoing, but perfect for the more cool beach nights. Very flattering, and I would consider buying if it fit a little more closely. I chose a size medium, but if you're on the small side of medium, I would definitely recommend going with a small, since the smocking stretches to fit, but gapes a bit if it does not fit closely. If you're smack in the middle of a size medium, it could go either way—if you're amply endowed in the bust area, you could probably safely stay with a medium, but if not, I would recommend going with a size small. I am a 36C and it gaped just a bit when I moved both my arms in front of me, for example, but not when standing straight.

I wore this to a brunch, a date night, and a festival. Its a perfect dress for spring. Its soft and very flattering for any figure. Oh, and it has pockets!

Incredibly comfortable and can be dressed up or down. Like most free people items I'd recommend sizing down. Also not a great dress for windy days as it a little billowy. The fabric is thick and the dress is double lined making it feel very well constructed. There are beautiful darker blue flecks running throughout the fabric that you can't see in the RTR images.

I LOVED THIS DRESS. It's super cute (but short and i'm 5'1'). I decided to size up to a medium b/c of how short it was and i'm glad i did. HOWEVER - this dress is incredibly worn and has pilling all over it which makes me sad because I wanted to buy it. I did find it at Dillard's for $25 less than it was being offered at RTR, so I bought it there instead (and it's brand new at Dillard's). RTR should do a little more price comparison shopping, especially when dresses are as worn down as the one I'm wearing is. But other than that, no complaints. LOVE IT

Loved this dress but I definitely needed a smaller size so that the elastic was tight to my body instead of loose. Its a lot of fabric to pack for a vaction but its great for chilly evenings because the sleeves keep you warm while still showing skin.

Cute and unique look for a party

This dress is very cute on, and very comfortable. It is a bit "heavy" bc of the material... so you Wouldn't want to wear it on a really hot day. The stress is perfect for evening when it's a bit cooler out but you still want to look cute.
