I absolutely loved the dress. It was a little long for me, which was expected. I received so many compliments. It was also very comfortable.

I received so, so, so many compliments on this dress! Seriously, I thought about asking RTR for a referral code because I told at least 10 different women that I got it from RTR... However, I think the dress looks better in person than it does in photos. I think the dark black velvet sucks up all the light so the photos don't really do it justice. With the low back and the hem that has a nice weight (it swooshes when you walk!), I felt like movie star at an awards show in this gown! I used dress tape on the front and back of the dress to keep the straps in place. Surprisingly, the length was fine with heels even though I am only 5'1" but the straps were a little long and felt more secure once I had taped them down. I didn't really consider the dress overly "boob-y" on me but I did get a lot of attention in that area so if you are busty, be aware. The dress is very thick so it was warm in the drafty operahouse.

This dress is perfectly fitted and the velvet has a nice stretch. I went with the larger size for fit in the hips, but preferred the top of the smaller size. Overall, a little bit of body tape kept it in place. I received so many compliments and felt so beautiful in this gown!

Loved this dress! I was worried the top would be too large on me being so small chested but it fit really well. I did use some sticky inserts to help keep it to my chest but otherwise it was perfect!

Highly recommend. I wore this dress to a wedding in Truckee/Tahoe area of California. Low 70s in the day and mid60s in the evening. The velvet dress had nice weight on it and kept me warm once the sun set. The deep V was very flattering - recommend using tape so you don't have to worry about flashing anyone. Also loved the open back. I was very comfortable on the dance floor. The dress gave me an hourglass feel which was nice :) Be mindful of the deodorant you use!

I wore this for a black tie wedding. It is form fitting and holds you in. I recommend this dress for girls with a smaller chest!

This dress was perfect for an Italian wedding. It is heavy material so it was a bit warm for the sunny day but otherwise it was perfect. I’m 5’2” and 120 and it fit like a glove. I wore 4” heels and it was the perfect length. I am definitely considering buying this one!

the straps are thick so if you’re booby you have to find solution to avoid fashion faux pas but i loved shopping to accessorize this beautiful gown. simple and elegant

Dress was so comfortable while looking extremely luxe and elegant. It did require a decent amount of fashion tape but ended up staying put all night (even with lots of dancing)

Great fit hugged every curve, tulip skirt with kick made it easy and fun to dance in. Low but not too low, slit mostly only seen when sitting. Did order a size down and did slip a few times off my shoulder when sitting but did not wear a bra or tape. Would rent again perfect fit black tie event when cooler weather since lined velvet.

This gown is absolutely stunning!! It moves like a dream and flatters all the right curves. I used double-stick tape on the shoulders & neckline and was able to dance all night with no wardrobe malfunctions! Strongly recommend renting for any winter formal function - I really couldn’t have felt more beautiful!

Perfect for a fall or winter wedding. I got so many compliments, but did pair this with a fur shawl for modesty during a church ceremony. Gorgeous and so flattering!

This was a backup dress and ended up being *THE* dress! It’s so much more gorgeous than the photos can show. Material is thick and comfortable and doesn’t wrinkle, I didn’t need a bra, just used a little boob tape to hold the front in place. 3-inch heels were perfect. I will absolutely be renting this one again, maybe even buying it to keep. And the skirt has this fun, sexy swirly effect that made dancing easy!

The straps were not tight fitti g so I had to tape them in place.

Fit like a glove but had to use a bit of fashion tap to secure the arms from sliding down. Length was perfect with some 2 inch heels. It was perfect for a black tie wedding at a museum. Thick velvet material kept me warm all night!

Wear fashion tape! I felt secure when I put the dress on but any sort of movement other than standing was high risk ha. The flow of the bottom portion of the dress is sensational. I felt like royalty. The second size I wanted a size 2, which didn’t end up shipping due to defects. The size 4 fit like a glove. I would rent this again in a heartbeat!

Wore this to a gothic wedding. I am obsessed with this velvet dress and would love to own it if I had more formal events to go to. Fit like a glove and had some stretch to it making it very comfortable. I did have to use fashion tape to keep the shoulders from sliding but I expected that. It also flares at the bottom making a great photo opp if you dance or spin!

100% will be renting again! My boobs looked incredible, I got so many compliments and I’m seriously debating just buying this. I loved it so flattering. I did use boob tape and the straps were a tad loose prob could have sized down but fit like a glove everywhere else

I didn’t end up wearing this dress, decided on another one to wear to a formal wedding. The low cut is beautiful, but I wish I would’ve sized down. Only complaint is that it is an incredibly heavy dress

I’m a slightly curvier gal, very pear shaped and definitely took a risk only ordering one size. Luckily, this fit beautifully. I did use some fashion tape to covers my assets, and felt so luxurious all night. It was perfect for my work holiday black tie party :) bonus, my cat also thought the dress was lovely (see pic haha)

I have a larger bust so it’s hard to find dresses that work without a bra but this one did! All I used was fabric tape and everything pretty much stayed in place! It was so elegant and never felt that more fancy in my life!

This dress is elegant and fits beautifully. I wore it to a gala full of black dresses and this one definitely stood out. It is a bit heavy and gets warm if you’re dancing. The only complaint I have is that the straps fall down easily. Gorgeous dress - rent it!

I wore this to a black tie wedding in January and this dress is a showstopper! It was so comfortable and slightly heavy due to the material. Perfect for a winter wedding. I sized up due to being 5 months pregnant. The dress fit my belly but the top was slightly too big which makes sense. I would say it is sized just right for those not sizing up due to being pregnant ha If you’re debating this dress any further - DON’T!

Wore it to a formal wedding. The top plunges low, and so does the back… so you either need to be ok without a bra or have something that doesn’t connect the cups together (I went with fashion tape and pads from a push up bra since I lost most of the volume after kids). The material is slightly stretchy, and moves beautifully. I got a ton of compliments, was able to move and dance, and felt glamorous. I did get kinda warm with the velvet material after dancing, but it worked out well for the cold January event.

Top is a bit large for my pear shape, so boob tape and double sided tape made this night a success. Good stretch in the hips area! Really flattering

I will reiterate what others have said that the straps do fall a bit but are easily fixed with some double sided tape. I would have kept this dress if I had more formal events to wear it to!

This dress fit perfectly. I’m 5’8” and weigh ~155lbs (I usually wear a size 6 in dresses). I used boob tape and fashion tape to make sure nothing popped out, but this dress was actually pretty comfortable all things considered. I would totally buy it if I went to black tie events more often.

This dress was perfect! I ended up getting the size 8 and glad I did. It is very low cut but it still had support so I didn’t heave to wear a bra. It’s a velvet material but it didn’t feel too heavy. Def recommend

One of my favorite dresses I’ve ever worn! Dress was perfect length with four inch heels, just brushed the floor and I could move without being concerned I’d trip. The slit was fun but tasteful. I got so many compliments, but mostly from my husband! Only advice I’d offer is if you are more pear shaped, consider sizing up. I got this dress as a replacement after my two others didn’t fit. RTR overnighted them to me and it arrived two hours before my event! Outstanding customer service! The next size up would’ve given me a little more room in the hips and booty region, but it fit like a glove and I question if going bigger would’ve fit as well in the chest. Velvet material is thick and heavy, looks expensive and perfect for an elegant, timeless and classy look!

Wore this dress for a black tie optional wedding and it was perfect for the occasion. The velvet made it feel elegant. The material was thick/heavy, stretchy and very comfortable. My usual size 6 was just right - a tad snug on the back zipper, but an 8 would have been too big. Loved the front slit. For being on the short side (I'm 5'2") the hem wasn't too long - just grazed the floor with wearing 3" heels. The top however, was definitely loose, and dress tape was a must to keep the front in place. Definitely a deep v-neck cut, but with the tape, didn't feel too exposed. Got tons of compliments on it! Felt very glamorous! Would def recommend.
