This is such a great and classic black dress. The lace is very pretty and makes the dress interesting. For me, it’s the silhouette - fit my petite frame perfectly!

I could fit on a size 2 but it would have been impossible to go to the bathroom. Size 4 was better.

worn it for a company event and it was the perfect amount of "dressed up" without being over the top. 10/10.

The dress is easy to wear but it could be tight on top if you are over a B or C cup. Loved this dress.

I loved this dress! It is very flattering for someone that has a small bust and wide hips.

I can wear either an 8 or 10 depending on the dress. The 8 was tight but the 10 was perfect and comfortable all night long. There's no stretch at all so I would size up for your backup. I was able to wear a plunge bra but you could also easily go without as there are plenty of layers to hold you in and not have any show through.

Wanted to love it but the top fit a little big, shoulders were loose despite my ample boobs, and also too deep a v for my comfort, pic is with a cami. Ultimately went with another dress. Loved the flounce at the bottom:

I am usually a 2 or 4 but rented this in a 6 and 8 as I am 20 weeks pregnant. The 6 was fine but I noticed the lining of the 8 was a little long compared to the lace material on top which looked a little off. Glad I was able to make the 6 work.

I've searched the internet high and low for this dress because I need it in my closet! Made me feel like a million bucks. I've already rented it again for a holiday party I have coming up. Neckline is low, but I could still wear a regular bra with it, and it fits tight in the chest so I didn't have to worry about anything falling out. :)

Definitely one to try on in store and/or order a backup size, as dress has no stretch. Wore it to a gala and loved it!

Loved this dress! It was perfect for a semi-formal/formal wedding and was so COMFORTABLE! I wore a sticky bra, but ended up removing it so I wasn't so "booby"

Loved everything about this dress. I was looking for a long dress but something that was formal and flattering. It definitely has a mermaid fit to it which I liked!! Got tons of compliments and would definitely rent again!

A RTR stylist picked this out for me in the NYC store for a black-tie optional wedding. It fit me very well and gave me a nice shape. The dress is a nice lace fabric and not too heavy but definitely has some weight to it. It may be too heavy for a summer wedding but very good for other seasons! The neckline was low so its a good dress for A or B cups. I went braless and it felt fine. I'm 5'2" so the midi-length didn't feel overwhelming but I still felt perfectly dressed up for the occasion.

Browsing through thousands of dresses on RTR, this one might not stands out as other dresses just because it's a very simple black dress with a little bit mermaid shape. I ordered it first online and went to the NYC flagship store to try on. Once I put on, I knew this is the dress I want to wear and fit me perfectly. No crazy design, but it shapes your body surprisingly. You will never go wrong with it.

Flattering, form fitting, I'm 5'6" and it hit just below the knees, perfect length. Low cut but was still able to wear a bra. Wore to a wedding and was complimented many times!

This was my back up dress but ended up being the one I chose. I loved the curves it accentuated and it ran true to size. The material is heavy and lines don't show. The dress is a little on the plainer side compared to most things I would wear to something black tie optional, but some sparkly jewelry or shoes, and fancy hair and make up will elevate it. I would definitely rent this again!

I wore this dress to a recent wedding. It was elegant, comfortable and forgiving--also easy to dance in! My only complaint was that due to the very low v-neck, it was almost impossible to find a bra that would be imperceptible under the dress. I chose a very low, black demi-cup and you were still able to see the center of the bra in the point of the v-neck. Not ideal, but I made it work!

I wore the larger, backup size because the hips were too fitted on the original. The top on the backup was a little large/low cut for a work party so I wore a cami underneath. The material is a heavier lace, which worked well for the season. I wore black knee high boots too because of the weather.

The quality and cut of the design makes this incredibly flattering (spanx aided obviously:)). I wore to a family wedding so I chose to add a thin black spaghetti strap under that only went up about an inch above the point Of the V in front. It was just borderline on being too low for me. I have a larger (38DD) bust/chest though. A smaller cup size may not require. Also, went up to a 14R because of my chest but if it were about a 1/4 inch smaller or opted for no bra I could have worn my regular size 12R. Again, with my bust size and a family/church wedding going sans bra was not an option. Overall it was cute and I had a lot of compliments.

I love the silhouette of this dress. I am almost always a size 4 but I could juuuust baaaarely get this zipped. Once it was zipped I felt comfortable and also felt like everything was plled in in a good way, but if you are between sizes maybe size up. I would be raving about this dress and how flattering it was (gave me something close to an hourglass shape which is a miracle) EXCEPT for two big flaws: it's really low cut, and I didn't realize until too late that my bra was showing all night. I think the only way around this is those stick-on bras that don't meet in the middle. Also, my dress had a clump of fabric at the base of the zipper that I could not smooth down. Maybe it was just the particular ress I had, or maybe I just couldn't figure out how to smooth the frabric, but anyway I attached a picture you can kind of see the clump of fabric. My husband said it wasn't noticeable but I felt self-conscious about it.

I'm 5'0 and the length was 3/4. It's such a classy dress, kind of on the tighter side but it did fit

Comfortable and pretty, form fitting but appropriate for someone in their 50’s.

Wore this to a wedding this weekend and got so many compliments on it! Would definitely recommend for a formal affair or wedding guest attire.

Perfect black dress for a wedding guest.

This dress was very nice and I would have loved to wear it to a masquerade dinner we attended. I, unfortunately, was not able to wear this dress. The next size larger was not available which would have been my back up size. So, I took a chance with having only the size 8 as an option. I was able to get the dress on, however, there was no way I could sit in it comfortably or eat anything. I ended up running to local department store and luckily found a dress but paid way more than I wanted to, plus losing out on the rental fee for this. Beautiful dress however, no stretch and very form fitting.

Since there was no stretch, I had some difficulties sipping up the back. The lace was a little rough and gave the dress a casual vibe for me.

This was a back-up dress, but I would've exchanged it for another if I had more time before my event. I'm usually a size 4 but often size up to a 6 for sheath dresses. I wore the 6, but it was still a bit restricting in the midsection and loose at the bust. At 5'4"-5'5", it also hit me at the widest part of my calves. Overall, it just wasn't as flattering as I hope it'd be.
