I wore the stress to receive an award and had the privilege of being comfortable all night, long and looking stylish.

Gorgeous dress, feels and looks very luxurious in person. The dress gives off two looks from two sides. Lots of fun! Got a lot of compliments.

Great dress for a formal wedding. Velvet dress underneath has some boning structure that helped keep me comfortable. Be prepared to wear heels! The gold portion of the dress is a couple inches longer than the black portion and is quite long. I’m 5’8” and wore 2” heels and it still touched the ground. I got compliments all night!

Wore to a black tie optional wedding and received so many complements. Felt incredible! Classy but also so comfortable. and this dress in particular due to the draping in the front was very forgiving in the stomach area if you over indulge (like I did)! It's not super obvious from the model photos, but the black and gold piece are different lengths, which gives the dress visual interest. At 5'8, with 3 inch platforms the gold/yellow part just kissed the ground while the black velvet part was likely 2 inches above the ground. Great way to show off some shoes! I've rented a few Et Ochs dresses at this point and I think their designs really have a unique way of complementing women's bodies while also being unique in an understated way.

Fit was great, didn't have to spend the whole night pulling it up or adjusting. The mustard fabric was v luxurious - a beautifully designed dress and comfy as well!

A little snug around my chest, but I think the rest of the dress fit fine! Maybe a little tighter than intended. Order TTS for that shift dress look. I love the contrast of the yellow against the black velvet! This dress feels like the perfect blend of classic and modern.

This is a really pretty dress but there’s little to no shape to it

I rented this gown for a formal event and was disappointed by two main issues. First, the color was noticeably different from what was shown online—it appeared as a vibrant yellow on the website but arrived in a dull, mustard tone that altered the entire look I had planned. Second, the gown was much longer than expected—even with 10 cm (4-inch) heels, it still dragged on the floor. While the design is elegant, the color discrepancy and excessive length made it difficult to wear with confidence. I hope Rent the Runway updates the product photos and sizing guidance to better reflect the actual item.

It was beautiful material but not right for my occasion

This is perfect for maternity while not being a maternity dress. It's fitted at the bust and feels secure, while giving plenty of room to be flowy, elegant, and most importantly, comfortable. I'd also wear this again after pregnancy - many compliments! There is boning under the bust that did poke my stomach, but that should be an issue for normal use.

Loved this dress. I ordered it once before in a size 4 but wore a size 2 this time. Much better. Comfortable and elegant. Fabric was beautiful and not flimsy at all. Length was much better, but the dress has an asymmetrical drape that hangs a little on the side and that my husband kept stepping on. Dancing was a little problematic. It’s still a beautiful dress that got lots of compliments.
