The 10 fit me like a glove. It was perfect. The fabric is thick and made for a great winter choice in a cold location.

Perfect party dress!

I have never seen a dress like this. I think looked better in person than the app. Almost looks like a painted blue over black. Fitted, conservative and yet sexy. Puts a spin in the traditional LBD (little black dress)!

Rented this beauty for a fancy work dinner birthday party. This dress fit the bill! Conservative, yet stylish...perfect to wear around a professional work group of baby boomers. The material was nice and thick and hid most imperfections. It was very comfortable to walk and sit with. It definitely had a wow factor with the front panel that shimmered underneath the lights. I would recommend this dress for the fall or winter because of its thick weight. It would also look lovely with sheer black hose or tights, and even boots. The dress arrived perfect except for some frayed threads at the bottom of the blue panel. May rent this one again and wear with different accessories.

I wore this dress for a trade show wear I was representing my company. I needed to be professional but wanted to stand out and sparkle a bit. I wore with black tights and boots as it's still winter here but so slimming and so comfortable. I loved it and felt sassy and fun all day. If you are curvy and want to feel thin and classy... Go for it! The colors are beautiful too! It doesn't show it but there is a gorgeous teal in with the black and navy, it's subtle. I felt classy but still polished.

This dress fit me beautifully. It's structured enough to hold everything in, but stretchy enough for me to sit, stand, and move comfortably - perfect for the busy work gala I wore it for. Love the details of the nip in at the waist and the sleeve length. I accessorized with blue net stockings and terrific chunky heels, but you could go lots of ways with accessories here. Many compliments. Loved it!

Had a baby four months prior had trouble with sizing, on line chat and recommendations helped so much, was worried about it being to tight and looking like I did not have a proper fit, ordered in both 12 and 14, wore the 12 forgiving. Great material it meet the need of business attire with a little more class. I had very little confidence in my appearance but received several compliments and it just made my night to feel great. Thank you is not enough words to say when I got a little bit of myself back.

Worn for a dress-up Christmas party in an aircraft hangar; this half-sleeved dress was comfortable and appropriate, but not a stunning knock-out dress. The blue front has a pretty sheen, note the nipped in waist shape which helps. Was glad I wore it with a pretty, glitzy necklace. The dress is plain enough that it needs a good necklace. Fit was comfortable; it didn't bind or pinch anywhere. I found that a small tuck hand-sewn in the lining of the sleeve prevented it from peeking out at the bottom. There's enough room in the bust for even a larger size. I'm 5'6" and the dress came to the bottom of my knees (a length I prefer). I'd agree with other reviewers who recommended this dress for work events. It's dressed up and fairly conservative. As with all RTR dresses I've had, it's high quality and very well made.

Very flattering! I loved the 3/4 length sleeves and the hourglass detail of the front panel. It was very stretchy yet tight in the right way. My only wish was that it was longer. I wore really high over the knee boots with it. I wish I owned it!

Wore the dress for a work event. The quality fabric and construction was true to Elie Tahari! The color was perfect in a room full of boring black. The stretchy fabric is great to accentuate a curvy frame and was comfortable throughout the evening. I had so many compliments! Would recommend and I'll keep it in my favorites!

Perfect fit

Fantastic dress for my company's annual dinner. I had to find something that I could wear to work/host the evening while being confident and somewhat comfortable. This dress hit on everything I needed. I did feel the dress ran a little small, especially through the bust. I'm glad I got the 12 or I would have been running around the night before! And who wants to do that?!

Loved this dress for work super classy and fit well. The only negative -- it was really worn out you could tell it was used a lot ... parts of the dress were frayed and coming off it felt old :(

This dress fit great! I didn't think the sleeves were too snug and I was able to stay warm once the temperature dropped! Great first rent the runway experience!

This dress was perfect for Christmas Eve at our Greek Orthodox Church. I felt pretty and it was conservative. I just had a baby and it was forgiving. Great dress for a conservative event.

I rented this dress as part of RTR's 'rent three for the price one' promotion for Thanksgiving, and I was very happy with my rental. The dress was not skin-tight and was very flattering. I was a little worried that the sleeves might be tight as I've had that issue in the past, but they fit comfortably. I have also had some issues with the zippers of previous RTR rentals, and this zipper was smooth sailing probably because it is one of the more exposed kinds. I can't wait to rent this dress again!!

I'm 5'10, so I worry about dresses being long enough and this one was. It is very classy and conservative but still beautiful and fits great. Perfect for any work event, day or night.

Really loved this dress. Wore to a board dinner st the art museum. Was doing a bit of running around and it was extremely comfortable. Went with a bigger size because the 12 was tight around the bust; wish the 14 wasn't so long and found it a bit baggy in the hips. Otherwise got a ton of compliments. Perfect for a fall time event.

Fit like a glove except for in the stomach area, which was a little poofy. The length was perfect and the dress itself was very comfortable. I wore it to an important work meeting. The Blues were not as bright as I expected but I liked it none the less.

Fit true to size. I ordered a 10 and a 12 because I was worried 10 might run small. The 10 fit. I was very happy with it. Comfortable and flattering. Liked the way it covered my upper arms. It was cold out but this dress is a little heavy so it was fine to wear in colder weather. I wore black tights. Two tiny worn looking spots (piling) but no one would ever notice that.

I rented this with the 3 for the price of 1 deal for Thanksgiving and decided to wear to family dinner for the holidays It was a nice thick material and very smoothing/no special undergarments needed However the fit was a bit weird, the sleeves hit at an odd place but they're also made of non-stretch material and are very wide and baggy which makes your arms look bigger (nice huh?!) Combined with the long length, high collar this is not a show stopping super flattering dress but it's suitable for work functions FYI--The size 8 was a bit worn and pilly at the neckline and hem

NOTE: I was about 140 lbs and 32D when I wore the size 6 - post baby - not the same measurements as before!! The colors are beautiful, the perfect alternative to a LBD. The longer sleeve and high neckline gave the right amount of coverage for a professional event. The skirt length also was conservative, yet did not make my 5'3" self look short. The dress was nicely lined, and cinched my waistline to make it look smaller - a great bonus while trying to lose baby weight!! Loved this dress and highly recommend it.

I wore this to a winter wedding and it was really great. I wanted something with a little more coverage for the season so I paired it with black opaque tights. I also wore black pumps, and the Oscar de la Renta baroque bejeweled necklace. It was a really great dress!

Professional look, sexy and conservative. Great for court appearances and great substitute for a suit. Fits well.. it's not too tight and allows room for normal people who doesn't have a flat belly. Dress is forgiving for a person with a little belly...

This dress was perfect for a dinner full of CEOs in custom suits and dignitaries. I wanted to fit in while remaining outrageously feminine and this was just the dress. The thick fabric was comfortable and flattering; I never worried about overexposure. It fits in all the right places and has a slim, sophisticated silhouette.

I ordered a 6 and 8 and I could have worn either, but decided to go with the 8 as the jersey fabric in the back of the dress was more likely to show undergarment lines in the smaller size. I did not wear any shapewear underneath so I thought the larger size was a better choice. I received tons of compliments including from the television reporter who interviewed me.

This dress fits wonderfully -- the fabric is thick enough to provide support, yet stretchy so you don't feel like you're wearing a corset. The length is true to the picture - hits just above the knee. The color is more subtle than the photo would have you believe, but it has a nice sheen.

I rented this for a big conference I was heading up. I thought this would be appropriate for work and that's about all. But I loved this dress. It's subtle and sexy and extremely well made. I've rented many dresses from RTR and this is the most well made dress (good lining, good materials) I've rented so far. Will definitely rent this again.

I wore the 12, but the 10 fit also...just a little snug at the top. It has a very sophisticated/classic look. I wish I could figure out how to get the picture from facebook onto here, but I am a bit challenged! The color was rich. I loved the fact that it hid my tummy!

I am curvy with some "problem" areas. This dress was perfect. It fit well, was incredibly flattering and comfortable.

I wore this dress to an after-hours business event and it was perfection! While others were walking around in their black business garb, this dress stood out, but still looked business worthy. It was very, very comfortable...a nice heavier fabric which was perfect for a cold winter event in a huge, drafty ballroom. I paired it with some black patent leather heels and some great jewelry and got lots of compliments on it. The dress ran absolutely true to size for me and the length was perfect. I'm 5'8" tall. The fabric has some stretch to it and that is nice. I loved the flattering sleeves too. The back of the dress is completely black and the zipper is unique and adds a bit of sass to the look. Love this dress!
