I liked this dress way better in person. In the model photo it looks stiff and conservative, but in person it is much more relaxed and effortless-looking. The long length and covered shoulders made it appropriate for the Mormon wedding I attended, but it didn't make me feel at all matronly. It was the dress of the night for sure; compliments from everyone. Plus, the fabric is a more casual ponte-knit, which made it comfortable for the whole 14-hour event.

Every said I gave them Jackie O/ Diana Ross flair. I wore this dress to church and to my birthday dress. It was perfect. I wore red the entire weekend and this beautiful red was perfect. The 6 fit like a glove but I wore the 8 since I was going to church so I would say that it is true to size. I'm 5'2 and it hit me below the knee. My only issue was the wire that frames the top did not stay flat like it was supposed to.

Wore three RTR dresses for a work conference with all the big wigs. While not my personal favorite of the three, this one definitely got me the most compliments by far. Beautiful color and very classy. They were out of my normal size so I had to go one size up, but I think it turned out well as I feel like my "true size" might have been a little too form fitting to be work appropriate. It was very comfortable, only problem is that one side of the collar folded over and the other stayed up straight. Tried all I could think of to fix it, but ended up just using a bobby pin to keep it folded over (my hair covered the pin).

This dress was super elegant and lady-like! The sleeves and neckline is probably the best part. There is wiring under the curve in the front that sort of protrudes out if the dress isn't the right size. Fortunately I had no issues with the 6 (but did with the 8). I wore a red satin obi belt with it, but it also looked great without. Received a ton of compliments!

Dress was brighter red than anticipated but it was a pretty color. Fit tight in the hips and the thighs but fit correct in the bust and the waist. The hem was unfinished, strange for a dress like this but you couldn't tell unless you looked. I could have gotten away with the 8 but wore the 10 because it is super clingy and the arms/shoulders are a bit constricting- meaning you will not be doing the YMCA very well in this number. I received a lot of compliments on the dress and paired it with nude shoes and gold jewelry. I would wear it again.

The neckline of this dress looks just as classy in person as it does in the photo, and the dress fell right where I had hoped at my knees, so with the chic cut of the dress and the bold color, I definitely felt well dressed for my graduation. However, the dress had some strange cons - I go between a 4 and a 6 based on the designer, but I tried on both sizes in this dress and neither fit quite right. I went with the 4, but the lining isn't made from the same stretchy material as the dress, and I actually found it hard to take very large steps. This was kind of a problem for graduation, Also, the sleeves were very restrictive and I couldn't even raise my arm all the way. Trying to raise it half way even hurt. And the neckline, though gorgeous, keeps its shape with a boning. Unfortunately, the size 4's boning was kind of wonky, so that one side kind of bent forward awkwardly. I tried using an iron to heat it into submission, but it didn't work. As for the 6 - it was easier to walk in, but the sleeves were still a problem, and the stomach area was actually a bit baggy. On the upside, nobody knew the size 4 was difficult to wear, so I still looked great for my event, but I'd definitely caution other renters about these elements of the dress, in case their event may be more active.

Silk lined with thick fabric ensures any minor bumps or lumps are hidden. Beautiful red color. Very classy fit just below the knee and covers the bust with a delicate neckline is conservative and mature without looking matronly. Loved this dress. Minor con is the wiring to keep the neck shape was a little awry so I kept fussing with it.

First of all, be advised that this dress is not vanity sized. Order at least one size up, if not two. I'm usually a 2 dress in the brands I wear day to day - J Crew, BR, Loft, etc - and in this dress I should have been a 6. The 6 wasn't available, though, so I got a 4 and an 8; I'm wearing the 4 in the picture, and you can see it's a bit snug. That said, though, the dress is very well made, very comfortable, and flexible with a very flattering fabric; I could have worn the 8 and I don't think anyone would have really noticed it was too big. So, with all that in mind, I definitely recommend it! I will echo the other reviewers, though, that the neckline wire was all messed up and kind of folded down, which was annoying.

I have rented this dress twice now (graduation & Fall wedding), I love it so much. It's beautiful. --Such a nice shape, great quality and it wears very well.

I loved this dress it was wonderful! I have had a hard time finding dresses that fit me well. This dress fit my waist and hips extremely well. Somewhat tight in the chest area but manageable. Size 8 was much better in fit for my chest, but I liked the fit of Size 6 for the rest of my body better. I wore it for Chinese New Year and my birthday party. Everyone commented on how lovely and elegant I looked in it. I was happy with this rental! (The dress I received had one thing that bothered me a little... the inside layer of the dress would stick out behind the outer layer of the dress...I don't think that it was meant to be that way, but I suppose with so much wear, the inner layer stretched out.)

Wow, I must say that I was pleasantly surprised by this rental. I received so many compliments at our Christmas cocktail party! I'm very thankful that the RTR stylist encouraged me to rent this one. Thanks again for the perfect outfit for my special event!

The neckline of this elegant dress is absolutely gorgeous. The color pops. The fit is sexy, but not so sexy that it is not work-appropriate. I would love to own it! I was able to pair this with a tailored black jacket for the work day, then take off the jacket for dinner/cocktails at a nice restaurant in the evening. Got compliments on both the color and the neckline (even when wearing the jacket).

I really liked this dress. It was super comfortable and had an elegant silhouette. It was just a tad tight for me around the hips so I did not end up wearing it. I would go 1 size up in this one. I did feel very glamorous when I put it on though. It would make a very dramatic statement if you were to wear this to a dinner or party.

Rented this for a ribbon cutting ceremony in the am. Length was perfect as it was not too short or not too long. Dress is well made and looks lovely. It's very form fitting, especially around the midsection. There was very little difference between size 6 and size 8. NOTE: The lovely neckline is kept in place by a plastic insert. When I received the dress, one side of the collar was bent. It did not matter how long or how well I ironed it, it kept being crooked. So my advice is, the night before you plan to wear the dress, lay it flat and place a bunch of heavy books on the collar. This way the plastic will be straighten and the collar will look symmetric.

It is pretty tight. Spandex does wonders. Also not an easy dress to walk up stairs or get in tall vehicles.

I'm usually a true 4, and regularly wear Elie Tahari 4s, but this one ran a bit small in the waist. But the cut is cute and flattering so it didn't end up mattering that much. Plus the color is great!

Such a beautiful and striking dress. Unfortunately, even with Spanx, this was WAY too tight. It fit around the bust, but was too tight at the waist and the hips.

I was looking for a dress to wear to work. I originally chose the Halo Jackie O dress but apparently it was damaged by the previous user. I was sent this dress instead. It fit but cupped my rear a bit more than was appropriate for work. Would be nice for more formal event.

The dress for too tight for comfort. The top neckline did "flip" down as other reviewers mentioned. Perhaps it works better for someone with smaller hips.

The dress was underwhelming in person. The 4 was too large and the wire around the neck was bent on the 2. I tried putting heavy books on the wire to flatten it out, but it didn't work.

The wire that makes the neckline so appealing was bent! I'm a true 10 so my backup 8 didn't work well. Color was super but disappointed that this dress was damaged...

This was the first time I had to return a dress from RTR. I usually wear an 8 or 10 so I ordered both sizes. The 10 was very tight. This dress is made for women who have small hips. if you have curves do not bother.
