I needed this to work at a small gala event. Worked perfectly because it was comfortable and easy to maneuver in. The sleeves gave it a little flare and I received lots of compliments. Lots of ways to accessorize this dress.

I'm short (5'2"), the skirt length was fine, but the sleeves were long on me. I kept them slightly pushed up.

The fabric was very forgiving and I felt great in it. The bells on the sleeves feel like scuba material or neoprene. That was unusual, I thought. The transaction was easy, peasy! RTR sent the dress when they said they would, sent 2 sizes for no add'l cost, one of them worked, wore it, packed it back up and shipped it off on Sunday. Afterwards, they let me know that Monday would've been fine. Good to know. Great experience and I'd rent again! Seriously, how many little black dresses can you own?!

Beautiful dress! Love the length and the lace in the back. The sleeves are my favorite! Normally wear a size 14 and could have gone down a size but this was the only size they had. The dress was still flattering! Cocktail hour meets formal attire. Simple dress yet elegant statement piece. Let the sleeves do the talking!

If you're curvy...rent the dress!! I'm a size 14 and it was very flattering and very comfy! I'm also petite at 5'3" but the length and sleeves were still fine. Suggestion: buy high-waist pantyhose to smooth it all out in Barely Black!

The dress is so comfortable and really flattering... It's understated but the sleeves give it a little more flavor so it's not just a black dress. My husband was so worried about me renting from RTR because when I go shopping it's a nightmare... But he loves the dress (he says I got lucky but I think it's bc RTR shows all the pictures and I was able to research enough to pick the right one!)

I wore this dress to a non profit evening event in Washington DC at the Japanese ambassador's house. I was meeting Michelle Obama!!! Talk about daunting. What do you wear?! You wear a conservative black dress with some interest. This was perfect! I got tons of compliments.

I am short sleeves are always too long; this style made the short arms work and the cuff was flexible able to tuck it during dinner avoiding 6 glass set up; and neighbors plates.

This dress was TINY. I am normally a size 16 in 99% of clothes and had to size up to a 22W. Insane. I have an hourglass shape and my normal sized hugged my curves in all of the wrong places. It seems Eloquii runs small in general so I definitely recommend sizing up significantly for any of their pieces. Overall, once I got the dress in the right size it was perfect. Classy, easy to accessorize and more fun than a normal black dress. Would get again.

I wore this dress to a work dinner that required cocktail attire. Loved the ease and comfort of this dress. The fabric was perfect for a night out in the snow and cold of Minneapolis. Received many compliments on the dress throughout the night! Easy to wear and danced the night away!

Runs I normally would have worn the 16 but they didn't have it for that timeframe. That being said the 18 worked out just fine and was super comfortable, appropriate length, and the lace detail on the back was a nice touch. I would probably buy this dress if I could. The amount of compliments from C-Suite level women execs was off the charts. I think it would great on any size and is definitely forgiving.

Evening wedding in a backyard so the length was perfect, not too over the top. The white lining inside the cuff was a nice detail.

I have a full mid-section, so I actually ended up needing to wear the 22W instead of my normal size 20. That made the sleeves a little longer for me and the neck area not fit so perfect, but it is a gorgeous dress so I made it work. I has a bit of a stretch and is comfortable to wear.

I wish I had taken a proper picture but I forgot. :( I was going a formal family affair and I needed to stop traffic. This dress fit the bill perfectly. A few weeks before my event I happened to be in DC and took the chance to go to the Georgetown store front to try on different dresses and narrow my selections. I tried on the 18W and it was too baggy. Despite that, I could tell that the dress would be a winner, so I ordered the 14W and 16W for my event. I've gained weight over the past year so I'm a solid size 16. The 16W was good but a I wanted the dress to hug the curves more so I wore the 14W. The only slight issue was a slight bagginess in the back just below the lace detail. Otherwise, this was the perfect dress, somewhat understated but definitely high-fashion from the bell sleeves with the white lining to the lace detail to the curvy feel of the dress. Thanks Rent the Runway, made girl happy and my shopping experience stress free. Ladies take note: the picture on the site makes the dress look boxy in the larger sizes, trust me my curves showed out.

I loved the simplicity of the bodice of the dress. The back of the dress features a lace insert and the sleeve flairs were really cute. This is perfect if you are looking for something subtle and stylish.

I loved the bells on this otherwise very plain presenting dress. They were made of a heavier material than the dress that caused them to flute out. However, the heavy black stitching inside the bell sort of ruined the floaty look of them. This will work well with a statement necklace. The back peak of lace seems unbalanced somehow but the fit is good. I don't have wide hips so that part did not flare out as much as it draped making me feel there was a missed opportunity for POCKETS!!

It's a stretchy fabric, which makes it quite comfortable. It's a true sheath though and I am pretty pear shaped so I went with my backup size of 22W ... it really clung to my hips in the smaller size. There is no swing in the skirt. I wore it to a fundraiser dinner with some green sparkly chandelier earrings ... I liked the look a lot

The fit ran small by two sizes (for me). The dress is really cute though and I loved the style. I missed the fact that it had some lace detail in the back which was cool. I'll try this dress again next time for sure.

I wore this to a board dinner, the fit and cut are fabulous, the dress looked great, and was very comfortable.

I was stressed out cause my initial dress didn't fit and this style was a 2nd option. I'm so glad I went with this one!! At 1st I was worried cause the material is thick, but lucky for me, the wedding was in the evening and it was starting to get a bit chilly so I felt great. I got so many compliments on the dress, ESPECIALLY THE SLEEVES !! Overall, I was pleased with my Rent the Runway experience.

Right in a brand I wear regularly. Lace on back was not right for work.

I didn't end up wearing the dress. It was too big and too small in weird areas. I'm a pretty average sleeve length, and the sleeves were way too long and the dress was also way too long. it also accentuated my stomach, where I thought it would hide it. I also did not like the fabric...I thought it looked kind of cheap. it was stretchy, which I guess was good.

This dress was absolutely unflattering. I normally wearing a 16, but just to be safe I ordered an 18 and a 20 – both of them looked terrible and highlighted the midsection and I ended up not wearing the dress - thankfully I had a backup dress at home that I could use in a pinch. If you are going to get this dress, I would suggest ordering three sizes up. Strange, as I have always had great luck with Rent the Runway – not this time!
