I didn't notice much of a difference in fit between the 6 and 8. I have a bigger chest, and easily wore a strapless corset bra underneath.

I rented this dress last minute for a formal party and loved every second of wearing it! The color and overall style was very classic and elegant, but the open back and detail on the skirt made it unique! Perfect dress to dance in. Received compliments all night long! Would recommend 100%.

Loved this dress, fit like a glove. Buttons at the neck so it's not adjustable, but it worked for me even despite a short torso.

I absolutely adored this rental! I wore it for a holiday party, and it fit like a glove. I usually wear an 8 because I have curvier hips, but the 6 was perfect. The dress was a very flattering material, and the high neck and cut highlighted my shoulders and arms perfectly. I received compliments all night on the dress, and would honestly strongly consider a purchase in the future. It's the perfect dress for a wedding or party. I also wore with red heels to add a pop of color, but you can accent with anything!

Love, love, LOVE this dress. I ordered both the 8 and the 10, and while I could fit in both comfortably, I had a touch more room in the 10 around the waist and I wanted to enjoy my dinner. The only con I would say is that the zipper sticks just a little and is hard to zip by yourself - you'll need a buddy! But the dress was in great condition, no rips or stains. I felt beautiful the whole night!

I'm 5'6", 130 lbs & 34A (profile stats are my daughter). The size 6 fit perfectly. The 8 just looked a little frumpy. I didn't wear a bra but used padded cups for shape. Photographs really well and was fun to dance in all night long. Lots of compliments and photographed really well.

The halter top paired with a lose flowing skirt was a super flattering style for my curvy body type. The dress was very comfy. I had an issue with my first order...the dress had a little tear in the seam and some unusual white spots. RTR shipped this one and it was great. This dress may run a little small. When ordering I'd suggest ordering normal size with a size up as your backup.

It's great to highlight beautiful shoulders and arms, and the black color keeps it formal.

This dress was amazing. Ordered both a 4 and 6 and the top on the 4 was too tight. Top is snug so no need to wear a bra if you'd prefer. I opted for one. Highly recommend this dress for any event.

I normally wear a 12 and I wore a 12 in this dress. It was a little snug around the rib cage. It was the perfect dress to dance in. I highly recommend wearing your hair up and showing off the neckline, everyone loved it. I styled it with oversized earrings and a fun glitter clutch and kept my shoes black. Got a million compliments. This was my first rental and I will rent again! I will say the bag the dresses come in is a little dirty, so if you are traveling I suggest being prepared to carry it on, I did and it worked out.

this fit like a glove, which at first felt a bit too snug, but then i realized it was actually quite perfect. it's flattering on the waistline, and since it's tighter on the chest works well without a bra even if you are a larger cup size (I'm 5' 4" / 120 lbs / 32D).

So I'm 4 months postpartum and this dress was so flattering. I really felt great and it successfully hid my mommy tummy with the help of a body shaper. Would recommend to anyone as I think it would be universally flattering.

This dress was recommended by the RTR customer service rep when my first choice arrived with a broken zipper and wasn't available. It was adorable. Definitely order one size up, I am usually a 0 and the 2 was perfect.

This dress is stylish, flattering and comfortable -- good for a party where you want to look good but not stand out too much. I loved it. I wore it to an evening wedding in NYC with big earrings and silver strappy heels. I usually wear a size 2 or 4, and went with the 4 . It was tight on the top (34B), but loose below the waist. I didn't wear a bra (the top is a thick fabric and fits snug) but you can easily wear a regular strapless bra under it. FYI the skirt is pretty light and feels like it would blow up easily so I wouldn't recommend it for a windy outdoor event.

It runs small - as I'm usually a 0 or a 2 and I wore a 4 in this dress. The material of the skirt part is super soft and flowy - great for dancing! The top portion of the dress is soft but not sheer - so I didn't have to wear a bra which was nice. No worries of nipping or falling out either. GREAT DRESS overall! I felt like a star!

Fit perfectly, bought bra pasties they recommend on the site…..ended up not using them. Didn't need to, ta-ta's were snug and looked better without. Very comfortable, very classy, elegant little black dress! Was able to dress it up with fine jewelry, handbag and shoes and felt as dressy as the ladies in long dresses! However, I was much cooler temperature wise dancing and wasn't stepping on my dress. Loved it!!!

I loved this flirty Elizabeth & James style. The neckline is on trend and universally flattering, and the skirt was silky and amazing. It feels super current and would be perfect for an evening wedding or cocktail party. It was a little longer than I expected it would be, hitting me at the knee, but with a heel it looked great! Definitely recommend.

This high neck dress is a fun alternative to your everyday little back dress. The skirt gives volume and is a nice silky material in contrast to the top. I recommend pairing this dress with a fun bracelet or earring. Also keep in mind that the neck cinches in with buttons and tends to be hard to button yourself.

Fits small, the 0 fit but I could have worn a 2. I didnt wear a bra with the 0 and it was still tight in the ribcage- fabric has no stretch. The skirt was perfect length, lovely, and flattering. The neckpiece was tight but i think if i got a 2 it would have been a little looser. Overall, very happy!

This dress was cute, however it was a little longer than anticipated. I rented it for a bachelorette party, and I felt overly conservative. This dress is better for formal events - not parties when you want to look sassy.

Loved this dress very flattering. I have a 36d, the top was very snug so I didn't need to wear a bra but felt it was a little to snug and gave me a little back fat. I also folded top under a little bc it was tight under my chest as well.

This dress was hard for me to squeeze into. The zipper was sticky before I got in it, and it was really hard to zip up. I am a 36DD and had to work to get in it, but overall was happy with it. It would be more comfortable for smaller girls.

I picked this dress in a little bit of a scramble in-store the day of the event. Since it was in store, there were not other sizes for me to try on, so I went with this size 2 which was a little snug, but not in an unflattering way. I typically wear a 2 or 4 depending on the style and designer, and the 2 was a little bit of an effort to zip. The plus side to wearing it so snug was that I did not need a bra for my 32D chest which was a bonus. I think if I would have had a 4, I would have probably been more comfortable, but I'm not sure if I would have therefore needed some more support up top. Overall I was very happy with this dress and the flowy bottom was extremely comfortable. If you typically float between two sizes, I would probably recommend going for the higher of the two sizes.

I liked this dress better in person than I did in photos. The top was too snug to wear a bra - which normally would have made me really uncomfortable but in this dress held in my 34c chest. If renting again I would have sized up to wear a bra bc it kind of flattened my chest. The skirt is made out of a different satin material which is really soft.

I super hated that the skirt was a different material than the top. Better for a girl with a longer torso than me, but I think I'm the only one who noticed that the darts were way too low on my boobs :( definitely only wear to work (as I did) if you have a tolerant office culture. Anyway, Elizabeth and James always delivers with construction and materials and this dress is no exception. Put your hair in a ponytail to look like you-know-who.
