I loooove this dress. It was super forgiving through my midsection and a great length for my 5 foot 2 stature. The slip underneath was tight, not too tight, but I would get your normal size and one size up in case you needed to wear the larger slip.

Thanks to the intel from other reviews I got this in medium and large - and as expected, I ended up wearing the medium dress with the large slip under it – and even then the slip was skintight. The medium dress fit perfectly - not too tight or too loose - and looked great . the large dress was just too big and shapeless, but the medium slip was more like an XS. I wore this to a dinner party so I spent most of the evening sitting down but every time I stood up I had to pull the slip down because it would keep creep ing up almost up to my waist. If I ever rent this again I'm probably going to wear my own slip underneath to avoid these problems. In any case it was comfortable and fancy without being too formal - the bell sleeves are 3/4, so I didn't have to worry about them dragging or getting caught in things. Overall a good choice - I just don't know what is up with the slip sizing.

This dress was super cute, comfortable, and short! Loved all of it! I wore it for a Madmen tv show themed holiday party and got so many compliments!

Very comfortable and looks good with flats. I am not a heel girl. I am a bit hippy with an apple bottom and the under slip wanted to ride up a bit over my bum. The black tights hid that. I would rent again in a large to avoid that.

LOVE this dress, so hard for me to return. First, I followed the advice to order my size and then a bigger size as a back up so that I could wear a larger slip - great advice. I loved that there was skin on top showing through the pretty lace, and then lots of leg to show off. I don't normally like bell sleeves, but it made the dress just a little bohemian in my opinion, and I felt wonderful in it. It can be dressed up with neutral heels, and dressed down cute with a pair of brown boots. Favorite. Rental. Ever.

This dress comes in two pieces... The slip runs very small (length and width) and the lace overlay runs true to size in my opinion. I got a medium, and a large as a backup size. I wore the large slip with the medium overlay. It was very comfortable and I was cool even during a hot, humid, mid-eighty degree day. It was also easy to dance in and the lacy wasn't itchy! I got a lot of compliments and really enjoyed this dress- would definitely recommend if you need/want something comfortable, not form-fitting, and "fancy" as well!

This dress fit wonderfully! I ordered a medium and a small, and ended up wearing the small! I'm 22, 5'8" and about 140lbs and usually wear a 34D. It was definitely short, but I wore it out to a New Years Eve party, so was fine with that! I got a lot of compliments on it, and the material was very comfortable. If you'll be dancing though, or even sitting, I'd suggest wearing spanks or shorts underneath, because it was pretty close to revealing a little too much. All in all, I loved it!

It is a little on the short side if you are tall. For reference im 5'7. But it is classy and was perfect for my work event.

The dress fit great and I would highly recommend it for any Fall event, such as a wedding or cocktail party. I was 3 months post partum and it was flowy enough to cover my not-so-perfect stomach. I am also a DD and it wasn’t too tight in the chest area, which is rare!

This dress was PERFECT! I was super nervous to order online with out trying on, but this website seriously rocks! The slip under the dress was a little small though, I have a large bust and big butt so I had to wear a different slip, which turned out to be the slip from my back up dress! I got so many compliments and I wish I could keep this dress forever!! Highly reccomend for any occasion!

Loved this dress! Previous reviews are right, the slip is much tighter than the lace overlay. Unfortunately my S backup size wasn't available at the last minute (ugh RTR!) but I was able to fit into the XS with little issue. It did ride up a little throughout the night but wasn't annoying enough for me to give a lower rating. Perfect length, but I'm just under 5'. Wish I didn't have to send it back!

No cons at all, loved this dress! Perfect for those self conscious about their arms like me and want to cover up a bit but still look and feel sexy! Perfect for a cocktail party outdoors.

This dress was awesome! I was worried about the length it's short! It worked out fine on me I'm 5'4" and weigh 155. The fit was perfect I was able to wear the medium. I would say it runs big because I normally wear large.

As everyone else mentioned, I had to wear the L slip with the M lace overlay. It was the perfect combination and looked gorgeous. It was appropriate for the rehearsal dinner, and yet looked young and playful enough for my personality. I would buy this one given the opportunity to purchase the correct fitting pieces.

It's important to note this dress comes in two pieces: a slip and the lace piece. I wore the medium slip and small lace piece. I wore this to an outdoor graduation and didn't want fabric clinging to my body so I opted for the slightly bigger slip. What I liked about this is it covered me from the sun without being overalls hot. Wore it to the grad and then the after party at a nice steakhouse. The statehouse required shoulders to be covered so this dress perfect for the whole day! Would rent again or even buy, very pretty dress!

This dress was awesome to wear to a Derby Party.. I got the XS and S.. It is a two part dress, and I wore the small slip and XS dress. The XS slip was tight to get on. The lace covering part was flowy and comfortable. I did need to wear a sticky bra because the slip is low cut in the back. Very happy with this rental!

I rented this dress for a (casual) gala and I wanted something feminine and soft but still with a little sex appeal. The lace overlay on top of the slip fit the bill. I loved the bell sleeves and felt really good in this dress. I received a ton of compliments on it! I would definitely wear this again. I'm only 5'3 and 160 lbs, and I wore the medium in both slip and overlay.

I ordered the Small and the X-Small for back-up and ended up wearing the liner from the Small and the lace overlay from the X-Small (it comes in two different pieces). The X-Small liner was just a tad small through my hips but the lace overlay hung perfectly. It worked out great. I loved the bell sleeves and the length was perfect for my 5'1" height. I did not want to send this dress back! Will definitely rent again!

The lace is beautiful and bell sleeves are really fun. It's very short so you can't life your arms too high.

I wore the medium, but the underslip was a little tight, however if I got the large the dress was too baggy. Had to adjust few times during the night but overall comfortable dress. Arms were perfect. I am 5,4 and the dress was short. Careful for ladies that are taller and worried about the length.

The liner ran small, but the overlay was a great fit. I'd recommend getting the size you usually wear and one size larger and using the liner from the larger dress for the best fit.

This dress was fab! The bell sleeves are adorable & the lace is stunning. Perfect for an outside fall wedding. I prob would have preferred the M but last min RTR realized it hadn't been returned on time so I was left with the L. It fit ok - the shell fit well but the putter lace could have been a bit more shapely which I assume would have good in the M.

This was the perfect BOHO Dress. The underlayer fit snug against my body with the lace overlay fitting perfectly. Slightly on the shorter size even for my 5'2 frame. The bell sleeve was so much fun. Lots of compliments!

This dress was absolutely perfect for my birthday dinner. I got compliments all night. It was the perfect navy color and the lace gave it the pretty, girly, romantic quality I was looking for. The fit is a little short & the slip is snug as others have mentioned but it definitely showcases your legs. I didn't want to return it. Would definitely recommend & would rent again.

I rented this dress for my best friend's bridal shower in New England. I ended up going with the large instead of the medium because the slip for underneath the dress was extremely short on me (5'7" before heels). Super comfortable and so cute - the lace pattern and bell sleeves are awesome.

Loved this dress. The pic doesn't do it jusice really. I ordered Med and Small and wore the small. Its a shift style so was really a "throw on" dress but so elegant. The color is really pretty and the lace design as well. I thought it would be softer lace, but it was much more heavy/thick and not silky at all. I was fine with that. I wore it to a small evening wedding in SF in February. It was great for dancing and was formal enough for the affair.

Perfect dress to wear to a Sunday brunch with friends! I love the lace overlay on this dress complete with the bell sleeve. A great length for me at 5'4 with plenty of room in the bust. Although there is little stretch in the fabric this dress is not fitted in the waist or hip area. The slip underneath does have a deep v-neck and is fairly sheer so I would recommend a Nu Bra with this dress for sure! You can dress this look up with a wedge heel or go for a casual look with cute ballerina flat!
