The dress was flattering, it had a thicker material and was nicely made. I loved the color.

The picture isn't that great - didn't have a full shot - but I absolutely fell in LOVE with this dress. The blue is beautiful and it fit like a glove. The fabric is comfortable and thick - it's fitted, but not so tight that you can't move or feel like you can't eat. I got a ton of compliments. The silhouette is classy yet just enough sass. I paired with simple strappy black heels and a gold statement necklace. I'm about 5'4" and the dress hit mid thigh. I wore with a strapless bra, but the fabric is thick enough if you have a smaller chest you wouldn't need one. . I procrastinated a bit and the only available size was an 8, but most reviews said to size up and the 8 fit perfectly for me! Not snug, but not loose.

I wore this dress to a wedding this past weekend and received many compliments! It is a beautiful color blue in person (the pictures do no justice) and the fit is tight but extremely comfortable. You can move around and dance with ease. I originally ordered a size 4 and a backup size 6. The day my items were being shipped RTR informed me that the size 4 was either returned late or damaged by the previous user. The size 6 ended up being perfect anyway. I am typically a size 4-6 depending on the designer so if you are in between sizes I recommend sizing up in this dress. I would highly recommend renting this dress and would definitely rent another Elizabeth and James dress for a future event!

This dress fit so much better than I expected. I was a little worried because most people said the dress ran small. Based on the other reviews I decided to size up and size up from there for my back up size and I'm glad I did because the fit was snug but also had a lot of give in the material. I got so many compliments that night on the dress because it really flattered my figure and the color was beautiful. I was also worried about the dress being too short but it fit a couple of inches above-the-knee which was perfect. This was my second rent the runway experience and each time I have not been disappointed!

I wore this to my sorority's spring semi-formal. I have had my eye on this dress for forever so when an event finally came up that would appropriate to wear this I jumped at the chance. Now, I'm usually a size six but the only size available for my dates was a size 4. I ended up renting it anyway. It was super super tight but I didn't care(; Absolutely lovely! on accident I didn't end up zipping it up all the way before the party but everyone said that they thought that it was made that way! Ooops. would defiantly rent it again but probably in a 6.

I got so many compliments on this dress. I wore it to a wedding in Cabo. The color is great. Beautiful blue color. Listen to all the reviews and do yourself a favor by sizing up. I am a pretty true size 8, but I wore the 10. The size 8 fit, but i knew with the dancing, drinking, and eating would result in my being more comfortable in the 10. The material is pretty thick, but not too thick that made me hot in Mexico, but perfect for keeping everything in and held together. I HIGHLY recommend this dress- no spanx and no bra needed!

I wore this dress for a May wedding and received so many compliments, especially on the color. As others mentioned, it was a little difficult to get over my hips, but once it was on, it fit perfect. I got a size 2 as a back-up and though it fit fine, it didn't give me the flexibility that the 4 did. I was a little nervous that it would be on the shorter side, but it ended up being the perfect length and I was able to dance and move freely without having to constantly adjust it. I paired it with the Lee Angel Tie Up in Crystal Necklace... loved the combination!

I loved this dress so much! The color is stunning and the fit is sexy, but not too sexy for something like a wedding. I am an athletic 5"3, 130 pounds and the 8 fit me great. The 6 was very tight on my back and hips/buns and I didn't feel comfortable. The fabric is thick and stretchy. I have a small bust and did not wear a bra.

Rented for Vegas. The color of this dress is gorgeous. I have wide hips so it wasn't easy to get on but it fit like a glove. I got lots of compliments. Perfect Vegas dress. Sexy not slutty.

I rent dresses on RTR all the time, and I usually wear a 4 and order a 2 as my second option. This dress definitely runs small, so I am glad I read the reviews and ordered the 6 as my additional option this time.

I am very petite and this dress was perfect for my body type. It was tight but not restrictive, it was a mixture of classy and sophisticated. I have used RTR for many years now and Elizabeth & James has definitely become my absolute favorite. The dress was the perfect length for the occasion.

I ordered a size 0 and a 4 because there were no 2's left. A 2 would have fit PERFECT. The zero was just really tight in my back and around my neck. It was still an AWESOME dress, and very comfortable aside for the tightness up top.

I rented this dress and another Elizabeth and James for a weekend with family in Vegas (I live here.) While we weren't seeing any shows on this particular evening, I wore it for dinner, some gambling and walking around on the Strip. As with the other E&J I rented, I opted for the 2 in place of my normal 0 - but I probably could've worn a 4 in this one and felt a bit more comfortable. The 2 zipped just fine and I didn't feel stuffed into it, but this dress is not stretchy like a lot of others you'll find on RTR. Loved the look overall, though!

I wore this for a work event at a nightclub. It was not too short but tight enough to show my figure without being too sexy in front of my colleagues. This dress made me feel great and was definitely one of my favorites. I look forward to another night out on the town so I can rent this beauty again!

The fit was PERFECT! I wish I didn't have to return it. It was a little tight going over my butt but once on, it was comfortable and the perfect length. I wore this for our New Years dinner and drinks. I'm so happy I chose this dress!

This was my third backup dress, the other two I received were damage, RTR was amazing they overnighted me this dress. This dress is form fitting but hugs all the right places, I was concerned about the slit being to high but it worked out great. Was able to wear a strapless bra

I ordered the 2 and the 4 - the 2 fit perfectly up top but was snug on the hips, the 4 was pretty loose up top but perfect on my hips and booty - story of my life. The 4 was also a bit too long on my short frame and took away from the overall "sexiness". I went with the 2 and it ended up being fine. The material kind of sucks you in, and overall was really flattering. I tried a few bras with the dress but they all left a crease so I went braless and it was much more flattering. The racerback cut and side detail were interesting enough that I kept my jewelry super simple. I felt super sexy and the color stood out in a sea of black dresses and was perfect for a more tropical rehearsal dinner. I hated returning this dress because it's perfect for so many occasions; date night, weddings, girls night out, etc. Usually the dresses I rent are "special occasions" but this is just a perfect piece to have in your wardrobe. Loved it!!

Elizabeth & James dresses are so well made - thick fabric, nicely lined, with a bit of stretch. The fabric is substantial enough that it will hide a bit of a belly (no spanx required!). It's longer than it looks on the model and it hit me at the knee, making it appropriate for more conservative occasions. The 10 definitely fit comfortably, but for some reason it creased at the waist no matter how I pulled things or what I wore underneath. It wasn't a big deal because it mostly just looked like a seam. The racerback cut is severe enough that I had to wear a strapless bra. The color is gorgeous and I got several compliments on the dress - I wish I could keep it!

Loved the color and the cut: very flattering. Back runs a little tight in the shoulders. Small tear on inside by the slit, but it was unnoticeable when it was on. Overall liked the look.

I rented this for my sister's 90s themed bachelorette party. I usually wear an 8 or 10 dress but the 8 was only available. It worked for this occasion but I would have preferred the next size up. I'm very tall so it would have been nice to have a little more fabric. Overall though I loved the shape (racer back) and color (royal blue). It was perfect for a night out!

Loved this dress! I felt classy the whole time and would recommend this dress for anyone going to a formal event. It was a little longer than I anticipated but it still was a great fit. I recommend sizing up because this dress runs small and is not very forgiving in the stomach area.

Despite some of the material bunching up at the top, I think the 2 fit me great. I did rent the 4 just in case, but there was even extra material and it was too long for me. I think the slit looks different on me than it does on the model, but nonetheless it looked good. I would wear it again if I could. It also is great for someone with small boobs like me, you don't need to worry about wearing anything. You definitely need a statement necklace to attract some attention that way.

The dress fits like a glove, a tight glove! Though it is tight, there is some type of lining that holds everything in and there is a stretch to it as well so it's easy to walk in. I recommend it if you're trying to look a classic sexy because it's meant to help your shape do the talking, not the dress.

Dress is tight but true to size. Super comfortable. Great fit, amazing color. Compliments all night. I’d actually rent this again. I hated to return it. I’m 5’3”, 120 lbs 32DDD if this helps anyone
