Rented this dress in red for my bday and loved it! This brand always fits great! Shows off your shoulders and legs! The neckline was fun, I wore it w silver shoes and had a blast!

liked that I didn't have to wear jewelry, fit was awesome. very few dresses that I can say that for. almost bought it on Nordstrom in black because i loved it so much!

The red is amazing and such a unique dress with the collar. I definitely stood out and was the only girl in red which was great. The dress does run a little small, I'm usually a 6/8 and this was a 10 and fit like a glove. This was my first experience with RTR and it was amazing.

I was a little hesitant renting this dress which had no reviews at the time, but it ended up exceeding my expectations. The color is more of a blood orange than a red, which was exactly what I wanted for my event in the Fall. The dress fit me well! It is quite short, which I don't mind. I would say it fits true to size/slightly bigger so you may want to size down for your back-up size. There is some stretch to it. I wore it with silver shoes and accessories which I think was most flattering with the dress color and the details around the neck.

I wore this to a cocktail-attire event. I love the fabric of all Elizabeth & James dresses. It's breathable, but thick and forgiving. I gave 4 stars bc it was a little short. Usually when I wear something more exposed on the top, I like it balanced with at least a little above the knee, but this was mid-thigh. Also, the "bejeweled" neckline kind of casualizes it. They're like little mirrored pieces. With that being said I had so many compliments and loved it.

Pros: This dress was stunning and made me feel amazing. Cons: it's super tight and was difficult to wear undergarments with. But I loved it and would absolutely wear it again.

Awesome fit!! I have 34DDD-150-5'8 sometimes rtr is difficult with my boob size and height and this dress pushed them down a bit but it fit exceptionally well. The material was very thick and slightly stretchy and concealed everything. The color is a burnt siena when i thought it would be bright orange. Runs a bit small.

This dress was absolutely perfect for the formal at my high school. It does run small, and was tight on me, but it fit just how I wanted it to. The fabric is thick and well made for sure. I would recommend this dress to anyone who is looking for a fun night out!

I wore this dress for my birthday dinner with my boyfriend and both of us LOVED IT. It hugged every curve, smoothed where things needed to be smoothed, and felt like a million bucks. Elizabeth & James makes such high quality dresses, and I felt super pretty and never did it feel too tight during dinner, sitting down, or anything. The only issue I had was that there was some slight damage with the neck detail. A few of the beads were missing near the back. With my hair down, this wasn't a problem and I'm chill, so it's ok. But otherwise, this dress was perfection. Sizing, be sure to go up at least a size if not 2. I typically wear a 6 and the 10 was perfect.

This is a fun and sassy dress that runs true to size. Pretty short in length, which was to be expected since I am 5'10. Hugged in all the right places!

Beautiful dress! I have more of an hour glass figure and felt it looked amazing on. I will say it was a tad short when sitting, but I am just under 6'. Overall could not have been happier. Also I wore a strapless bra and had no issues with it showing.

Loved the color of the dress. It fit very well and was perfect for my homecoming dance. The material was really comfortable and easy to move around in. Great dress all around!! :)

Overall, the fit was amazing! Everyone loved the dress and it looked like it was made for me. Don't worry about the quality and the color, because both are impeccable! Pros: The fit (like a glove and spanx-like), color, the top (little jewelry part), the length, the material Cons: Runs small, very tight on the thighs- it makes it hard to move too much.

This dress I ordered in a 2 and a 4 after reading reviews that it ran very small (I'm usually a 0). However the 2 was returned damaged so they could only send me a 4 - I was mad at first but then once I tried it on it fit perfect for the occasion - a work holiday party. Had it been for a different occasion I may have wanted it a little tighter but it fit perfect hugged the right places and was super comfortable & easy to dance in. Definitely rent if you have the chance!

This dress was actually sent to me as a back up when the original dress I ordered for my engagement photos was returned damaged. It is really gorgeous on and very flattering. I am usually a true 0 in dresses, but the 2 in this was really perfect and I don't think I could have squeezed into a 0. The color is more of an orangey-red than a true red, but it's really pretty and unique. The fabric on this is thick and high quality, that also helps to smooth out imperfections ;). Despite fitting like a glove, I feel like I can move well in it, there is a silk lining that is sewn into place (love when they do that so it doesn't slide around and bunch up) - I think the lining helps with mobility because the dress moves easily against your skin. Highly recommended. I would definitely size up for your free back up, I have tried on about 20 RTR dresses and have never needed a 2 before this dress :).

My second RTR and my second time wearing Elizabeth and James. I loved this dress just as much as my first rental! I typically wear a 0 or 2 but went with the 4. The 2 would have been too short and I felt more comfortable in the 4! I received lots of compliments. I will definitely rent this designer again!

Really liked this dress- was my NYE dress and it was nice to stand out and not be wearing something black! Love Elizabeth and James dresses, they are always super flattering and the right consistency between a nice form fitting dress and not feeling transparent and thin. However, with elizabeth and james ALWAYS size up, they run tiny. Really enjoyed this dress and definitely recommend it for a night out.

Little snug around the hips/thighs area. I have a small waist and medium bust and the top fit perfectly.

The color is beautiful and vibrant (more red than orange) and is a great cut. It runs small though so order a size or two up. I will rent again.

Thankfully this was a backup dress and not my go-to dress. The dress I ended up wearing was a size 2 BCBG dress. The 6 in this dress was extremely tight and showed curves in all the wrong places.

E&J always runs a little small, so I sized up. Was really comfortable, shorter on my as I'm 5'11" but that fit the occasion. Comfortable to dance in and to site down in for dinner. Great fabric that stood up well, stretches, no wrinkles, loved it!

I loved this dress, it was so beautiful and tastefully covered up the girls. Although this dress is not stretchy and tends to ride up a bit when walking. Also since it has a high neckline I had to unzip it in order to sit in the car otherwise it kinda choked me, but otherwise it was wonderful!!

I am 4'11 and weigh about 112. The dress wasn't as short as everyone stated on the reviews, but I also don't have hips so it fit nicely there. I ordered a size 2 and a size 4. The size 2 didn't even zip and the 4 zipped up nice... but very little room for anything else. The reason I didn't wear it to the event was the dress pushed my boobs down (I am around a 34 C) which gave a really weird armpit situation. It almost made my pit area look fat. I know that sounds odd, but when I went back and looked at the other pictures on here a lot of the girls either had short hair and no boobs or the ones with boobs their long hair covered the front armpit area. I hope this helps! It was wonderful quality.

The color of this dress is beautiful, but definitely not a bright red. It's almost like an opaque watermelon jolly rancher - not pink, but soft and bright without blaring. The jewels on the collar didn't look as high quality or elegant in person. The sewing wasn't very subtle and was damaged. It looked like some of the embellishments were missing. I'm usually an 8 but may have lost some weight. The 6 and 8 both fit well, but the 8 was a bit boxy on me so I wore the 6. Once it's on and you're out, the collar isn't really an issue; I got so many compliments! Like other dresses by this designer, the fabric is soft, sturdy and snug so that it feels and looks great! It's thickness also makes sure you're not going to freeze or show too much of your undergarment lining. The vertical seam from my tights probably showed through though. Because my bust is on the large side, I had to wear a bra. I chose a racer back so no straps showed, but there was some side bra! Unfortunate, but the shape was terrible without a bra! With the bra, I felt sexy, gorgeous, slim and elegant! It was a perfect way to subtlety show off at my friend's wedding.
