Long enough for a formal occasion. It is tight fitting though, I probably would have been better off in a size 8. I am usually a 6. Definitely keep that in mind if you get this dress. Other than that it was great!! I'd get it again!

I wore this dress for an evening wedding. The dress is very form-fitted and run a bit small. I ordered a size 2 for that reason and it was perfect. I'm 4'11" so the sides of the dress were bit big but the rest fitted nicely. I'm 32DD and i was worried it was not going to fit but it did, i wore strapless bra but you don't really need it. Overall, i loved the dress.

This dress is beautiful, but runs small. I am a size 6, and have some jeans in size 4... and for this dress the 8 was snug! The material is nice though so I did not feel self conscious about the fit. Got lots of compliments and would rent again!!

Absolutely loved this dress. Felt the 4 was a little tight on my lower half but the 6 fit great. This is a very figure flattering dress and I received many compliments throughout the evening.

Initially I wore a size 4 (first 2 pictures), and then switched to the size 2. The size 2 fit a little snug, but looked better in the photos and felt better overall.

For dresses I am usually a size 4 but I could barely zip it. The 6 fit much better and was longer which is better for my height. I was easily able to wear a strapless bra and the length was long enough for a winter wedding.

This was actually my back up dress, and only one of my sizes (4) was available so I took the gamble. It ended up working much better than my first choice!! E&J dresses tend to run a bit small. I am typically between a 4 and a 6 in them. I am also a size 25 in jeans, and am a 32DD for reference. The top was a little tight but once I got it zipped I was locked in for the night. The material is thick and helps suck everything in making it really flattering. I got compliments all night! Overall a great choice for a wedding or cocktail affair! PS- You won't regret sizing up for your backup.

Lovedddd this dress! It was a little more fitted in the butt than I had expected but still worked great! The back is awesome too and I didn't need to wear a bra and I'm a 34 ddd. Will definitely rent again!

Stunning dress on but is very tight. I'm a true size 4 but I could have gone up a size I think. Had to wear spanx because it is very form fitting. Overall loved the dress though

I wore this dress to my friend's wedding and received so many compliments! It fit perfectly and was so comfortable. I'm short so it didn't fit like a mini and was the perfect length. Will definitely rent again!

Very comfortable dress!

The fabric is thicker, but not heavy, and structured, making this a flattering dress. The back is cool and works just fine with a regular strapless bra. No need to find a special bra for this.

I wore this dress for a dressier cocktail wedding. I normally wear a 4/6 but definitely needed an 8 for this style. There is a little bit of stretch and I had extra space in the chest are (but still didn't need a bra). You can dance and move around easily in this dress and I highly recommend it for a wedding or formal affairs.

I loved this dress. Fit like a glove and was so sexy. The back zipper was tricky so you may need a friend or SO to help! I went braless and felt comfortable all night. Didn't think I'd squeeze into a 4 but I did and had room to spare! Felt amazing!!!

I loved this dress and got lots of compliments! It definitely runs on the small side. I ordered my usual size and sized up one size, thank goodness for the second size!! I could not even get the smaller one on! It still felt smaller than I would have preferred. I also wish I had noticed the side zipper when I first tried it on. I normally step into dresses, but this one required putting it on over your head.

This was a back up dress when my original wasn't available. Per usual with E&J, I had to go up a bit in the sizing for this dress. I'm usually a 6 in their dresses but knew that with the bottom not having a slit I'd likely need to go up even more. I have full hips/thighs. While the top had quite a bit of room to spare, it was not noticeable or bothersome. The cut as with all E&J dresses I've tried was incredibly flattering. Loved it!

This dress was such a great choice!! Although the material didn't give/stretch as much as I had anticipated, it still made for a nice look for my senior homecoming. Would definitely rent again!!

I usually wear a regular size 0, petite 2. I knew this dress ran small from the other reviews so I took a chance and did not order the 0, but ordered the 2 and 4. Ended up wearing the 2. The 4 fit me better in the hips but it was too loose in the bust so I squeezed in the 2 which ended up working out perfectly fine. I was also concerned about the dress maybe being too long because it is not a petite but the length ended up being perfect even though I am only 5'1".

This dress was flattering and comfortable. The material has give so it was easy to dance in it. I received many compliments. Great for a formal affair!

I rented this for a formal dinner and was very pleased with how it fit! I didn't notice the side zipper though which would have made it much easier to get on :) I did need help with the back zipper also but it fit like a glove. I opted for the size 6 over the 4 as it fit snugly and I wasn't sure how sitting would be, but it worked perfectly. I did not need to wear a bra but did use double sided tape just to make sure there were no side boob malfunctions. My lower back tattoo did show a couple times as it is cut low in back (just in case u are looking to avoid that) but it wasn't a problem for me or my event. I got lots of compliments! Overall a great dress I will definitely rent again!

This dress was HOT HOT HOT. I wish I would have taken a picture of the back of the dress. It was open back and had stone color strips on the back. I didn't really get that in the "details" when I read the description but it was beautiful. I wore this to a party with blue shoes and paired with RTR earrings. The size 6 fit me perfectly as well but I wanted a little more wiggle room since I knew we would be dancing all night. I was able to wear a strapless bra and low spanx (can't go over stomach since back is cut low) :-)

Definitely runs small so I sized up a full size. It holds everything in and is flattering. Not my favorite I've rented just because it was so body hugging. Wore it to a charity event.

Unlike most Elizabeth and James dresses, this one runs true to size. I rented a 2 thinking the dress ran small but it was big in the ribs and chest. This is a very flattering and comfortable dress. Would recommend for a semi formal event.

Overall i loved the dress. Great lbd with a pretty back! The dress ran small. Im usually a size 4 and i wore the 6. Overall i loved the fit, but the dress arrived with a tear on the zipper seam so i had to use a safety pin to keep it closed and make sure it wouldnt continue to tear. Unfortunately there wouldnt have been enough time to ship it back and get a replacement. Altho, if the 4 had fit it would have been perfect, as that dress waa in mint condition. I rated a 4 bc i was disapointed about this issue.

I loved this dress! Runs small similar to all E&J dresses, so rent 1-2 sizes up. The thick fabric is perfect - no need to wear a bra with the unique neck line. Perfect for a wedding!

This dress made me feel like a million bucks. I would like to reiterate that it runs small. I normally wear a 4 or a 6, ordered the 6 and 8 and the 8 was a squeeze. The thickness and well made quality and material of the dress made it wearable. I would rent again.

Was definitely nervous about the fit being too snug. The fabric is nice and thick, though, so it was forgiving. I typically wear a 6 and the 8 was more comfortable (5'8" 145lbs athletic build). So glad RTR was able to send a back up size!
