I wore this to a Mardi Gras Day party and it was perfect. So comfortable and easy to walk around in. Did not ride up. I usually wear a size 4 so I would say it was true to size. I did wear spanx just to be safe because it was very fitted around the waist, but I definitely could have gone without them. The material wasn't too heavy for the warm day and the detail on the side was very flattering. I got so many compliments I will definitely be renting again!

I ended up wearing a size up, and it fit perfectly! It's definitely form fitting, but in a really stylish way. Received quite a few compliments. I would recommend it for any event (I wore it to a wedding).

PRO: Great color, flattering fit, fun abstract design CON: NONE! This dress is great but like all E&J dresses, size up! I usually wear a 2/4 and wore the 4. I would have worn the 6 but there was a small stain on it so I had to suck in to a 4!

This dress fit just right! It was simple but classy! The blue was perfect for the occasion. The material was very comfortable and form fitting! There was a small ride up the bottom, but that was expected if you have a bump back there. I️ would definitely recommend this dress! It was a wedding favorite.

(The only full-body photo I got was a bathroom selfie for my roommate, forgive the toilet.) I loved this dress! It was my first Rent the Runway experience and everything went smoothly. I ordered a size 2 with a size 4 backup and ended up wearing the 2 but mostly because it fit and I was in a hurry. It was a little snug, especially after wedding food and drink, but still quite comfortable--the fabric was a stretchy neoprene-like material. The photo shows the color fairly well. It was for an East Coast wedding with people I didn't know very well, so while the form/length felt slightly sexy, it still felt classic and appropriate.

Very fun dress. Nice material, fun zipper in the back. Loved the side ruffle! I got a ridiculous amount of compliments on this dress! Snug in the tummy area, material also isn't forgiving. Love love love this dress.

Fits very tight for large busy ladies. Great length to show off some leg while still being tasteful. I paired with a fun shoe since it is a solid color. Fantastic color!

Loved the color, fabric, fit and loose ruffles along the right side. I'm short and found the length to be very appropriate for a pre-wedding dress rehearsal. Very fitted/unforgiving in the midsection so you may want to size up.

I went with the larger size of the two I selected. It is a little tighter around the waist, so I chose the larger size for more wiggle room, because when you go to a southern wedding, you need to make room for delicious food and drink! I'm a sweater and the wedding and reception was outside in 85 degree Charleston weather and not a drop showed through on the dress- score! It was comfortable, fun to dance in, and shielded the buckets of sweat (because girls glisten right?) I'm 5'7, athletic build, wide shoulders, small waist, size 8. This dress was a winner!

I couldn't wait for it to be warm enough to wear this. The material almost feels like a thinner scuba material. It's cut deep into the chest, so I had to wear it with a strapless bra. A little detail, but it has a fabric pull on the zipper so you don't need help getting in and out of it. I wore it to work with a blazer and adored it.

Form fitting with thick material. I'm usually closer to a 6 but thankful I went with the 8 for this dress. Need a racer back bra so straps don't show.

Great quality dress. Very small in the ribcage and waist; I am usually a 0 and the 2 just zipped up. Spanx are a must have and wearing a bra is very difficult between the cut and tightness of the dress. If you have a small waist and a perky top this would be a great dress. Overall, I was comfortable, only small adjusting after sitting, and the color is statement bright.

I received so many compliments on this dress! I would give it 5 stars, but felt 4 would better heed potential problems of the fit. I read reviews seeing it fit small so I went with one size up from what I typically wear. I probably could have gone another size up. The 2 was skin tight, but that's probably how the dress is designed to fit.. Finding the right undergarments was challenging, as with any skin tight dress.. I ended up wearing a nude bra and used one of those plastic things to convert it to a racerback. The bra showed in the front but with my hair down and the nude color it wasn't an issue. I wore Spanx (thong version) and that worked well for me! I would 100% rent/wear this again, but I could see it being a challenging fit for someone.

This was my first time wearing a RTR dress, & I have to say I'll definitely do it again! This dress was great - good thick but still stretchy material & it fit well in all the right places & hid my high thigh which I'm often self conscious about. I will say that based off the model photo I wasn't expecting for it to be fitted all the way down to the ruffle, & Elizabeth & James runs SMALL. I've been a 6-8 as of late & the 10 was what I wore. Overall though awesome dress for a Sept beach wedding & would definitely recommend for a wedding or formal event!

I'm usually a size 8/10 and after reading reviews I decided to order 10 and 12 and ended up wearing the 12 bc it was more confortable with room to breath. Its thick material and a beautiful color but it is form fitting and shows everything. I did get lots of compliments tho and would order again.

This dress was pretty and great for a hot, daytime wedding in southern California. It definitely runs small so order at least one size up. My only complaint is it creases easily.

This dress is a stunning color and amazing when on, but you definitely will need a size up. The size 4 fit fine, but was very tight around the chest for me and made it uncomfortable. I emergency shipped the size 6 out (THANK YOU so much RTR for that!) and it fit like a glove. I got shaping spanx to wear underneath to make everything look smooth and I fell in love with it. I felt so comfortable and beautiful at the wedding and had fun dancing the entire night. I am typically a 2 or 4, 34D or 36C bust, 26 waist and 36 hips, and the size 6 was perfect for me.

The fabric and color were awesome. It's figure flattering and super comfortable. Paired it with light cold sandals and light pink beaded tassel earrings.

I thought this color was amazing for a spring wedding. However, the fabric is a little heavy and we were outside for the reception/cocktail hours which was a little brutal. The dress is on the conservative side so I paired with silver heels and a big necklace. I would rent this again

I was a little nervous about ordering from this brand because though I love the look, it looked like their styles were all very form fitting and I was worried about being uncomfortable. I normally wear an 8, but I decided to order a 10 and a 12. I'm so glad I did! The 10 fit but was way tighter than I was comfortable wearing to a family wedding. The 12 fit great from the waist down, but I was a little disappointed because the 10 was so tight that I would have gone braless, but the 12 was really loose up top, even when wearing a push-up bra. I tried using fashion tape to minimize the gapping on the sides, but it was a crazy hot day and with sweating you can imagine how long that lasted (I will say that the fabric is great for hot weather!) I think I was the only one who really noticed, because even though this was probably the worst fit of any of the RTR dresses I've rented, I probably got the most compliments on this one. It's a really beautiful dress! My mom said "that dress is sexy and conservative all at the same time!" I would definitely try this brand again, just size up!

Didn't end up wearing this out because I'm a 36 DD and strapless bras are only comfortable for so long. Also, it's tight through the midsection so any belly bloat shows. That said, it's striking and sexy and pairs wonderfully with a statement necklace.

Fits a bit on the smaller side

This dress was perfect for a spring wedding. The ruffle adds a nice, fun touch, and the drrss also has a slight slit which adds a hint of sexiness. The shade of blue is really pretty and flattering. The fit is true to size, snug throughout, and the fabric is supportive without being binding. I was able to go braless and just wear pasties. I always feel like a dress is a good pick when the bride tells you they love your outfit 😉

Like other dresses of this brand fits well, high quality material. The lighter material showed some lumps and bumps and it was a little small for me but once I got it zipped up I liked how it fit overall.

I wore this for my sister's bridal shower. It had a nice shape / fit to it and I absolutely loved the color. I got a lot of compliments. It does run a little small though. I usually wear a 6 but I wore an 8 and it was snug around the bust and rib cage. Rocked it!!

It "fit" but was snug in the middle and slightly too big up top (rented an 8 and normally I'm between a 4&6). And I have a broad upper half. Decided with the solid color and the tightness in the middle (where I am a bit thick) it wasn't flattering.

This is a pretty dress that I wore for a daytime bat mitzvah (with a cardigan) and reception. Since other reviewers said it ran small, I ordered both a 4 and 6 (usual size 2). The 4 was snug across the midsection. While the 6 had more room across the stomach and rib cage, it was too large in the chest and the arm holes gaped. I ended up wearing the 4. It wasn't very comfortable, but it looked fine. (It tended to show everything, including underwear and bra lines, so you may need a body shaper underneath.) I think if you have an hourglass figure--small waist and larger chest--this dress would be perfect. For more athletic/straight figures, the fit just isn't right.

I wore this for a bridal shower. It was a fantastic color and very comfortable, but the sort of wing in the side made the dress feel a bit dated and less flattering. To add to that, the back zipper had a weird stringy tie that was made to be seen, but I thought it was tacky so I hid it in the dress. It runs pretty true to size and feels very well made.

I sent this back right away. It didn't fit well anywhere. It was tight across the tummy and bust, but as you can see in the picture, very loose in the arm. I was wearing a dark blue bra in this picture. It also had a tail on the zipper to help zip it up but it wouldn't pull when I did that.
