Definitely had to wear Spanx with this as it is unforgiving, but it has a lot of stretch and is a thick fabric. Great twist on a classic navy gown.

When I first put it on the bottom felt tight like it would be hard to dance in, but it’s very stretchy and felt great.

Loved this dress so much! So classy and simple But the neckline makes it unique! Didn’t have to wear a bra or any spanx because of the thick material. Felt comfy and looked great

I was bummed when neither of the sizes of my more exciting first choice dress fit me and I knew I would need to wear this backup dress instead, but it actually turned out great. It wasn't too unbearably warm or heavy for an outdoor summer black-tie wedding in Boston, and I ended up really liking the interesting shoulders on the simple dress. I felt very comfortable and confident wearing it all night.

I rented this dress for a black tie event. The dress fit well everywhere and it was a thicker material which I really enjoyed. The length was great, I wore 2 inch heels. There was a seam around the waist that I found to be flattering on my stomach. Overall, I really enjoyed the dress and would consider renting again!

This was my emergency backup dress and it was like it was made for me. I'm 5'8, 125 lbs and the fit was perfect. With 3 inch heels, the dress was at exactly the right length-barely touching the floor. Back slit makes it easy to move in, even as the dress it's a straight cut. Simple dress overall but worked for what I needed!

I ordered this dress as a backup for a black tie optional wedding and was so glad I did when the main dress I intended to wear did not work out. I am 5'2" and the 4P was just the right length with 2 1/2" heels. The dress is form-fitting and hugged my curves. Self-conscious me was surprised I could actually pull that off. Maybe it was the weight of the fabric that made it look and feel great. I wore breast petals instead of a trying to make a strapless bra work. Underwear was tricky and even shape wear shorts were too visible under the fabric so I went with a thong and just accepted the fact that the line of the underwear might at times be visible.

Fit well but required spanx to look smooth. Wore this for a nice evening out in NYC. Simple and elegant dress, but not a forgiving fabric or fit. Didn't feel so beautiful after a big dinner!

This dress is wonderful, it's simple, feels great on and is comfortable to move in. I ended up wearing a more unique dress for this event but will wear this in the future. I wore one size down from my standard 4 in Elizabeth and James.

Sized up and it worked perfectly for me as a bridesmaid dress while 23 weeks pregnant. Only wish they had the long available, but the regular worked and showed off my shoes. Beautifully made dress. Structured yet stretchy.

I was a bridesmaid in my friends wedding and the two dresses I picked out weren't available at the last minute. RTR was able to send me 6 other navy dresses and I hoped one would, at the very least, fit correctly. This dress ended up being perfect for my body type and the wedding. It's a snug fit and the fabric isn't super stretchy but it worked out perfectly. I didn't wear a bra because I couldn't fit one underneath but for someone who has an athletic build this worked out pretty great.

The thickness of the fabric is very forgiving and this dress is a classic!

Timeless and classic dress with a subtle cutout at the collar, that gave it a wonderful pop! Fit like a glove, but 4R is too long for me, being 5'1 and wearing 3 in heels, i still had to fashion tape the dress up a bit..

This dress was exactly what I expected from pictures/descriptions. The cut and design feel very elegant and classic, but also modern. Fit is true-to-size and the regular length was perfect for my height (5'7") with 3" heels. I was also able to kick off my shoes to dance without tripping over myself. I wore a strapless bra to prevent straps from showing through but didn't need to wear Spanx because the fabric was thick enough to be slightly forgiving.

LOVED this dress. Super comfortable. Easy to walk in and great for a black tie optional December wedding in Ohio. Unfortunately I ordered a 0L & really needed a 0R. Some temporary fabric tape fixed that issue and it was a great dress for the night. Definitely recommend for a simple, but elegant look.

This dress was wonderful! I'm a nursing mama and it had room in the chest area and still hugged my body nicely. It was a nice, thick fabric that laid smoothly. The 10L was just a bit long but 10R was unavailable. I'd rent this dress again!

I am 5’4 and wear a size 4 - average build and wore a size 4 dress. Had to wear heels to keep dress off the floor.

Loved this dress. Really fit true to size and was very flattering. I am 5'3" and was wearing 3 inch heels and the length was just right. I got a ton of compliments and felt great all night. One thing to note is that it isn't the easiest dress to dance in, and I got a bit warm as well!

This dress was my first pick, and I absolutely loved it! I originally chose the 4L as my original size and the 6L as my backup size, but the long versions were way too long even though the measurements recommended it for my 5'7" height. The 4R that I had overnight shipped to me came right in time and was the absolute perfect fit! In getting the overnight shipping to me, the customer service from RTR was timely and went beyond my expectations!

I reserved this dress for a bridesmaid dress and it was an absolute HIT! It fit me perfectly and I got compliments all night long. The material is thick and could get a little warm if you're outdoors in the summer, but I was perfectly comfortable indoors. I wore 3.75 in heels and the long length was perfect. If you're on the tall side and wearing heels I would definitely go for the long. I wore Spanx and sticky boobs and had no problems with any lines showing. It was flattering and trendy while still being modest and extremely comfortable. Some other reviews complained that in person it didn't have the hourglass shape that it shows in the model picture, but I did not find that to be true. It went in perfectly at my waist and wasn't too tight on hips or butt. Highly recommend!!

I love this dress!! It has become my go to for black tie weddings. It is so comfortable and the fit is extremely flattering - it holds everything in. One note, is that its pretty long even with heels.

I was a little nervous when I learned my first choice dress & size wasn't available, but similar to other reviews, this dress fit like a glove. I wore it with Spanx & 3.5 inch heels. The fabric is heavy - perfect for a fall wedding - and the neckline is beautiful, requiring little to no jewelry other than some statement earrings & bracelet. In the end, it was a great experience & I've already rented for my next event!
