Thick material that doesn’t wrinkle. Very flattering on. Perfect for a formal wedding

Warm, comfortable, flattering

I wore this to a formal event. I am 5’8” 140 pounds and wore a size 6 regular with 2 inch heels. I needed to get the sticky backless strapless bra as my strapless bra rode too low on my back and could be seen in the cut out. Also wore control top pantry hose to help smooth things out (the cut out was high enough on back you couldn’t see) but I’m long waisted. Would defiantly rent again.

This dress fit like a glove and felt so supportive and tasteful. It didn't feel like it had to hit the ground, which at 5'9" I'm normally really picky about so I appreciated this. I wore 2" heels with this and the length was perfect - I wish I had a photo that showed it! It was one of the few times I was happy seeing a peek of my heels while dressing for black tie. The narrow cut and the front slit really brought the look together and made me feel sophisticated, classy & graceful all night!

This column gown is a statement maker! I got so many compliments on it. A few key things to note - it's true to size/a tad small and it's LONG. I wore my regular size but would have liked to compare a size bigger if it had been available. I'd recommend sizing up or at least getting a backup size a size up from normal if you can. I'm 5'10 and still was able to wear 3 inch heels with no issue. It's also straight up and down with stretch, no flare, and will show pretty much anything. The photo on the site showcases the shape perfectly. Plan to wear it with pasties and potentially no underwear. The right strapless bra might still work. Shape wear would likely show.

The only small issue I noticed before the event was the seams on the front were very noticeable.

Love this, feel really good in it. Can't wear a bra with it, and I need my husband to zip the top because it's a bit tight to get my boobs in lol.

Great dress, but wish I had ordered a bigger size. It was a little tighter in the stomach than I would normally wear, and took two people to zip up the back. But once it was on, it was comfortable. I still felt sexy and sophisticated in it!

I wore the size 2 and it fit great. I don't have a large bust but didn't need a bra. I had 3 inch heals and the length was perfect. The overall experience was great and very easy and I would use Rent the Runway again!

This dress was SO flattering! I got so many compliments, all night. It tucks in your curves in all the right places. The back is amazing, I just wish I had a good picture of it. Definitely runs true to size - the zero fit me perfectly, although was a little long (as you can see from the pic - I am 5'3 and wearing 3" heels). I didn't mind the length, since the slit in front meant I wasn't tripping over the hem, and honestly it looked like a mini train on the dress. But if you want something that hits ankle or floor length and doesn't drag, just check the length compared to your height. But my goodness I LOVED this dress and would love to wear it again!

Fit was perfect, and tight enough up top to wear sans bra (I'm a 34C/D). Wore with a red lip and felt glamorous!

I loved it!! I’m 5’3 and about 115 pounds and the 2R fit great. It was a little long but I expected that and used temporary hemming tape which worked really well. It was great quality and I got lots of compliments. Thanks RTR!

This dress was one of the best ones that I have ever worn. It is stunning and fights in all the right places. I loved the back because it was so different. I rented the 4L and it was WAY too long for me, but I was able to hem it with some tape luckily. Besides that, it was amazing. The slit also adds a nice touch. Really can't complain!

This dress was nice and simple but with just enough detail between the neckline and back cutout. There is a good amount of stretch to this dress, I sized up as everyone else suggested but would say it was between running small and true to size -Usually an 8 and wore the 10 for comfort -34D and think the 8 would have been more supportive but wanted tummy room for food and drinks -I wish I had planned on having nipple covers bc you can't wear a bra and I wore it in February -you will have to have someone else help you zip the back so plan accordingly if you live alone -5'6" and the regular length for 8&10 was about an inch off the ground with 3" heels, I think the long might have looked better/skimmed the ground Overall a great dress, would rent again

This dress was absolutely phenomenal - the fabric was thick and it has been well made. It fit me like a glove. I ordered the regular length and it was fine with 3inch heels. The only thing I would advise is that this dress is very tight in the bust. I wore a 2R and typically am a 34 c-d and it was a very snug fit - otherwise I loved every single thing about this dress.

The beautiful dress runs small for someone with curves. Heavy material was added benefit for a winter affair.

Fabric is thick and sturdy and hangs perfectly. I am 5' 7" and wore 3 inch heels and the dress hit just above the ground. Strapless bra worked ok. Was able to dance it in all night with no problems.

I usually am a 0-2 on the bottom and a 4-6 on top. This was the 3rd dress I ordered since the others from RTR didn't fit great. It fit like a glove. I wanted something fitted and classy. It really was great! Zipping was a tad tight, but only because of my chest. Would rent again

Formal, Flexible and Sexy

A crossed neckline and slit make this Elizabeth and James gown elegant. We love the look with black pumps. I rented the dress for my boyfriend's sister (see pictured) for the White House Correspondence Dinner. Her height is around 5 '3 with her typical size running between a 0-2. She rented the 0 and completely fell in love! The pop of white detail in the back was her ideal amount of added sparkle. Overall would recommend for any woman looking for the perfect Little Black Gown.

The dress was a little tight in the chest but overall fit like a glove.

I normally wear a 6 but needed the 8 because the dress runs small. It fit perfectly! I'm tall so having the option to order my size in a long was very exciting! I got tons of compliments! I was able to wear a normal strapless nude bra. The fabric was very thick so it was perfect for a colder spring evening.

Rented for my prom. Sizing is really weird. I'm normally a 2-4, I looked up a size chart for the designer and it said to go up a size. I'm 33 in bust, 27 in the waist and 35 in the hip. I ordered a size 4 and couldn't even begin to zip it, thankfully I ordered a size 6 as a back up and it fit like a glove! Read some negative reviews on being uncomfortable and not being able to move, but that's so far from the truth. I felt as if I could've done gymnastics in the dress. It was simply perfect! 100% would suggest the dress to everyone for any type of formal event!!!

Ordered the 4R and found it to be a bit too tight for a night of dancing so I wore the 6R. The dress was too long even with 5 inch heels but I'm very short. I am quite curvy and found it very flattering. Felt totally comfortable not wearing a bra.

I was nervous about the length because I am so short but the length was great! I wore 3 in. heels and it grazed the ground. The fit was tight but not too tight, it looked very classy and very comfortable dress. I didn't wear a bra because the back was open and I was able to keep my boobs from moving around. The middle slit added a sexy detail to the dress. It was the perfect dress for a black tie wedding and I received a ton of compliments.

Fit like a glove - I'm 115 lbs and 5'3" and I went with the 0R. It was definitely tight, but not uncomfortable. I did need to wear very high heels to avoid the bottom dragging. Overall, it was a really elegant dress, but still form fitting and sexy. The only down side was that the white sections in the back were not stark white, which made it look a little dingy. But it was otherwise so perfect, I didn't mind.
