Tight fit, but thick fabric was flattering with Spanx. Bottom of the dress was tight, but I wasn't too restricted in dancing. The cut of the top of the dress was very flattering. Lots of compliments!!

Wore to a bachelorette weekend with heels and to work with a jeans jacket. Fits great. Doesn't ride up. Wore with no bra. Only con is you gotta unzip in order to go to the bathroom, can't pull skirt up but worth it.

I wore this dress for a night out in Vegas. The dress does run small and there is not a ton of give in the material, but I didn't have any issues. Based on the other reviews I sized up. The dress was simple, sexy, flattering and I received lots of compliments on it! I love, love, loved this dress and would buy it if I could!

I'm in between a size 4/6, and decided to get the size 8. I'm glad I did! This dress was tight, and because I have a wider upper back, I had to ask someone to help me zip the dress up, but the dress hugged the body in the best way. Perfect LBD, and the design in the chest area made it stand out from other black dresses. Since the material didn't have much of a stretch, I don't recommend walking with wide strides, as it will just be uncomfortable. It was also a bit difficult getting in and out of my car, but overall, would rent again, and definitely recommend as a LBD!

Ok so I'm usually Size 0 and this arrived in size 2 (a dress I ordered wasn't available so RTR chose this one to send in its place - great choice). So size 2 was very very tight, like I couldn't even sit down or walk. I messaged RTR and they overnighted a size 4 to me. Size 4 fit perfectly. I loved this dress and wish I owned it. So flattering! So comfortable! So sexy! Hubby loved it too! Will definitely rent again.

Rented this for a night out with my honey. If you are curvy definitely go a size up. I'm normally a 4 and wore the 6 which still hugged in all the right places. Be aware you won't be able to take big steps or walk up stairs easily if you have a big booty as it makes it pretty tight at the bottom, but dancing was no issue which is really what matters! Perfect little black dress that is sexy without being super revealing.

The perfect little black dress. In pictures it looked a bit like the horizontal lines were plastic material but they are actually tiny little holes within he dress, so small you can't see your skin through. It just added a little extra to the typical LBD. The dress itself ran on the smaller side. You can wear it with any bra but small chested ladies like myself didn't need one. Definitely a mini dress but tasteful, also didn't ride up at all.

This was great and simple, but not the easiest to dance in! It was a struggle to get in and out of for the bathroom, right around the legs!

I am about 110 pounds and 4'11". The size 2 fit, but was a little tight on my tummy area so I wore the size 4 instead. The dress was very flattering and fun. I felt very sophisticated, but it is tight so it was not the most comfortable. The fabric feels expensive, but has no stretch.

This dress is beautiful and form fitting but extremely hard to sit and stand from sitting since is very tight around your thighs. If you plan on dancing, I wouldn't recommend it because it would be difficult to do so comfortably. Is also hard to bend down. It looks gorgeous on but I wouldn't wear it again due to the hassle. I needed my hubby to help me zip it up and down.

I loved this dress! Runs a bit tight through body, but material is thick and really holds everything in in the mid section! Great length for petite and I absolutely loved the back shoulder cut which accentuates nice athletic shoulders and arms! Would definitely rent again!

This dress is perfect for going out. This was a little tight around the legs for me (similar to wearing a pencil skirt) and didn't have much give. If you have curves- I would go a size up!

Really great staple little black dress. It's simple so you can really do whatever you want with accessories. The only negative I have about it is that there is absolutely no give in the material which makes going up stairs a little difficult. Other than that it looked great.

I got this dress as an emergency replacement for another dress in had rented through RTR which didn't work out. The store only had a 6 (I'm usually a 4 or 6 depending on fit) so I decided to try it on. This dress fits like a glove. It hugs every little curve of your body, but it is very tight. The thing I liked least about the dress is how little give it had. Standing the dress felt fine, but when I sat it had no stretch for my legs and also made it difficult to walk in my 4.5" heels since I could only take small strides(it's literally that tight around your legs). Early in the night I was panicking about getting through the entire event in the dress, but eventually I got used to it and I got tons of compliments. I was looking for something classy/sexy and I feel like this was the perfect dress... Just wish it was a little more comfortable.

Only thing difficult was this dress does not fit well when sitting. More of a cocktail dress when you're going to be standing! However great look!

I love elizabeth and james and have had so much luck in the past- hate to say I was disappointed by this dress, even though I still got a lot of compliments on it! I usually wear a 6 in this brand and so lucky I had ordered an 8 as a backup because it ran very small. Honestly felt very uncomfortable with the cutouts because they had no give and felt rather constricting although that feature was the draw to the dress.

Fit was on the tighter side and the dress has no give (ie: climbing stairs is difficult because your legs are pinned together); but it's very form-fitting and shows off your figure nicely. Not a lot of room in the chest area, which wasn't a problem for me, but I'm sure it is for a lot of women. Bottom line: loved the dress, would even consider buying it!

The fit was exceptionally true to size, but like some other reviews noted, it did run a little tight at the bottom. It really isn't an issue unless you're planning on doing cartwheels at your event. With the neckline, I went with a racer-back bra, but a strapless would work just as well. Simple dress with subtle details.

Pro: The dress accentuates your curves in all the right places. Con: You need to take smaller steps due to the narrow bottom.

The fit of this dress is extremely flattering, I didn't want to give it back! Although I do wish I would have listened to the reviews that said to size up! I'm normally between a 4 and 6, and honestly could have gone with an 8. It doesn't have any give whatsoever, which is a con if you're on the edge of two different sizes, but did help to give the dress more structure and look great on.

I usually wear a petite 0 (and while the 0 fit) I wore the 2 because I had a bit more room that made it a perfect combo of comfort and fitted.

This is a great LBD, the fabric is structured so you don't need a bra if you have a small bust and it fits well enough that it doesn't move around or ride up. It's nothing flashy but was exactly what I was looking for.

I loved this dress and so did my date. A size 6 was pretty tight and made dancing a pain by the end of the night but I looked fantastic! For the record I'm 5'6" 130.

As others have said, this dress runs small. I fit into the 8, but I normally wear a 4 or 6. It is meant to be tight though, and I loved it. That being said, if you are iffy about tight dresses, this one is not for you. I wore it for my bachelorette party. One big plus is I didn't need a bra - in fact, if I had tried to wear one, I may not have been able to dip up the dress. The material is relatively thick though, so no bra was no issue. If you want a sexy dress that doesn't show everything, this is seriously a winner.

I rented this dress for a night out and unfortunately it didn't arrive in time. Regardless, I loved the fit and would definitely rent it again in the future. Looks amazing on an hour glass shape and the fabric is thick/supportive enough that you don't need to wear a bra. Major win!
