I am a big fan of EJ dresses, there is just something so incredible about the fabric used in construction of the beautiful pieces. This dress lived up to my expectations. The small cutout in the mid section was just the right amount to be cute and sexy but not over the top. I highly considered purchasing this after having worn it. Remember, EJ ALWAYS runs tiny. Please go up 1-2 sizes from your normal so you can move!

Great for petite and small busted girls. The smallest sizes are often too big on me, but this one worked!

I'm usually a 2 but the 4 fit me perfectly. I felt very comfortable in this dress. The small cut out made me feel just enough sexy, but still sophisticated.

I rented this for a company Christmas party and it was a hit. I opted for the 6 instead of the 4 based on other reviews because I don't like skin tight clothing; it was flattering and left enough room to comfortably move and sit. Not a breeze to get into a tall car, but it was doable. It did leave a bit of a scratch near my armpit, but I also wore it for nearly 12 hours.

I've worn both 4 and 6 in Elizabeth & James, this time I went with a 4 and it fit nicely. It was snug but not uncomfortable. I'm 5'9" and it was long enough, came to my knees. I usually wear a 4 in most formal dresses so I'd say this was true to size. Good material, got lots of complements for a winter wedding.

Loved this dress! I'm 5'6.5" and 125lbs. I wore a size 4 in this dress. I normally wear a 2 but all the reviews said to size up and they were right because the 4 fit like a glove. It was a little tight to sit in but the material was thick so I didn't mind.

I typically wear a size zero but this was a little tight in chest. Other than that, very true to fit and flattering!

As other reviewers have said, this dress is small, so I went with the 6 and 8 even though I'm usually a 4 or 6. My friend said there was no visible difference between the 6 and 8, but I went with the 8 because it was a little more roomy which meant it was great for dancing. I paired it with gold wedges, a statement necklace and earrings, and a metallic clutch. I got a lot of compliments, and I wish I could have kept it forever.

I'm a size 0 at Jcrew and Banana Republic. Size 4 always fits perfectly with these dresses.

Wore this Elizabeth and James dress to my boyfriend's niece's baptism (now that's a mouth full). I felt very chic and still very appropriate in the church. Got lots of compliments from people of all ages. Would say to only go one size up on this dress. Having it a little snug on the chest helped ensure the cut out didn't more or show too much. And The cut out in the front is smaller then on the model.

Rented this dress again because I love it so much. I will say- the first time I sized up because most reviews said it fit small, but this time I really wish I had stayed true to my actual size (6). For what it's worth, if you're between sizes maybe stick closer to your true size. Such a pretty navy and truly flattering shape. I have a sternum tattoo that was fully covered the entire time, even through wedding photos, so I still felt respectful despite the cut out. Probably will rent it again to be honest, I wish I could own this dress!

I am 126lbs and 5'4. I chose the size 6 and it fit perfectly. Cut out in front was classy but also sexy. Fit was perfect, a little form fitting so not the easiest to dance in. Received many compliments and felt beautiful wearing it. It was cool enough to wear to an outdoor summer wedding. Also rented Slate and Willow leaf Accent necklace and it went perfectly with the dress!

I love E&J! This dress was perfect for a wedding - perfect length and very classy silhouette with a sexy cutout. It is pretty tight - I usually wear a 2-4 and ordered those two sizes. I ended up wearing the 4 so that I could breathe - I would recommend sizing up for your extra size. The dress is supportive and well-lined. I am fairly busty (32DD) and did not need to wear a bra with it. Overall, highly recommend!

So many compliments! Just enough sexy for a work holiday cocktail party! This dress was pretty TTS, I can get into a 4 in some brands (lucky, Levi, a 4 in some things at Banana Republic) so I would consider myself btwn a 4 and 6. I got the 4 & 6, the 6 was perfection and didn't even try the 4! The original dress I got didn't fit well, so I called and got this as a back up... I want to keep it!! Could wear a regular bra and didn't need spanx or anything. Fabric was excellent, just the right amount of give but held things in. LOVED THIS DRESS!!

E&J NEVER disappoints!! I ordered another dress for my company's holiday party, which fit terribly. Luckily RTR has the best customer service and they replaced my dress with this one, and OMG it fit like a glove (be sure to size up - I'm between a 0 and 2, rented 2 and 4, and wore the 2)! I got sooo many compliments. I work at a law firm (read: conservative), so I was worried about having a midriff cutout, but since everything else was covered, it was a faultless balance. It's actually the perfect cutout too - low enough that I could have totally worn a regular bra, and high enough that no belly buttons poke through. I ended up ditching the bra since I felt more comfortable that way, and I didn't even need Spanx to suck it all in, because - Elizabeth and James, hi. Rent this immediately!

I could have worn the 4, but was more comfortable in the size 6. The material is thick so no need for a bra; however, I still wore one as the dress tended to make me a little more flat chested without. I would say the length is more for taller girls, as it hit me right above the knee. Definitely recommend this dress!

Great dress! Very tight as others have mentioned. I'm 5'6 and the size 2 is as long as I would want (knee length). The size 4 was too long for me. Something to think of if you are a shorter person.

Fit was very true to size. It fit snug since I wore the zero, however, it wasn't too snug to the point of obvious or uncomfortable. I was concerned about the length since I am 5'1 with shorter legs and a longer torso, however, there was no issue. I wore heels that were about 3 inches which allowed me to stay in them comfortably all night. I would order the size you normally are and then the size up since it is VERY form fitting!.

I wore this dress as a bridesmaid in my mom's second marriage. As I have found with all Elizabeth and James' dresses, it's a very slim fit. I usually fit comfortably in a size 6 but I always know to size up with this designer. That being said- this dress is beautiful, especially for a wedding. The cut out is not too much and the fabric is high quality. This dress photographs a little lighter or darker depending on the lighting but it is a nice, navy blue. Would recommend!

I was worried about wearing this dress to my family wedding. I wanted to make sure I could still dance and eat without feeling like everyone could see my food baby in this tight little dress. Fortunately, this dress is so well made and the fabric is so thick that it hides any and all imperfections. I loved the simplicity because I wanted to wear wild earrings and the lil cutout was just enough to make it more than your typical plain jane dress. Not too much skin for the fam either, which was another concern of mine. It was classy and amazing and I didn't want to return it. Definitely a little long on me, but I am short and it just made it look classier. I went braless because it was relatively tight. Received compliments all night!

The dress definitely runs small-I ordered 2 sizes up than I normally would. I'm usually a 6 and the 8 was a bit snug. I decided to wear the 10 and it was perfect. It's a nice shade of navy. It would have looked great with a nude or gold shoe, but I decided to wear black. If you're tall, the length is ideal. After just having a baby, I didn't want to purchase a dress as I know I will eventually lose the baby weight. It was perfect for a much needed date night in Miami. Thank you RTR!

The fabric of the dress was perfect and didn't require any sort of shape wear underneath since it sucked everything in.
