Undoubtedly one of my favorite dresses I have ever worn! I have to say, when I saw this dress on the hanger I wasn't super impressed. However, once I got it on me I didn't want to take it off! It is so flattering and so comfortable. The combination of the more fitted, solid white "crop top" style top with the looser, metallic skirt is genius. Perfect for any event where you need to go from day to night. This is a dress that can easily (and comfortably!) be worn for hours and hours and I feel like I can do anything in it. There's nothing I love more than a dress that is so functional and multipurpose and CUTE!

Tight in the hips so I went with the 10 over the 8, but very flattering for my pear shaped body type

The dress is tight at the waist. It has pockets! I usually wear a 0-4. And I wore a 4 in this. My backup was a 6, it was too big. The 4 fit perfect. I'm 5'2", 112 lb., 32B chest. A 4 is the biggest I wear, I usually wear a 2. So I'd say, go a size up.

This dress was worn for a work, wine auction. It was my back up and I had no intention to wear it, nonetheless it wow' d me and I loved it so much more than my original choice. A chic, timeless dress that flattered and stunned. It was comfortable and the quality was gorgeous. Very impressed!

I am a size 8 and ended up wearing my extra size ordered, the size 10. The dress is tight around the rib cage which made me go up a size. The zipper was a little hard to zip, but not a problem. Overall the dress was comfortable and classy!

As others have mentioned this runs small. I recently gained wait and am now a 6 instead of a 4. The 8 was very tight in the waist on me but still looked nice. I wore this for a networking reception and it was appropriate style. Loved the pockets.

As all of the other reviews stated, this dress runs small!! I am usually a 4 or 6 and wore the size 8. The zipper is almost impossible to get up which makes it difficult for getting this on but once it is on it's a fun/cool dress. I wore this to an all women's event and received tons of compliments. The bottom of the skirt is a shiny plaid material with pockets! The faux crop top adds a little extra to the dress. I was very happy with this dress, just know going into renting this piece that you will need someone to help you with the zipper and depending on your body type it may not fit. It worked or successfully for me

The dress was very tight on the hips and waist, but large in the top. Overall, I got a lot of compliments on the dress. I loved the illusion crop top and would definitely rent this again.

I rented this dress for my bridal shower. It runs VERY small! I usually order a size 4 and go with a size 2 or 6 for back up depending on the reviews and fitting chart. I went with a size 6 because the reviews said this dress runs small, and they were right! I ended up wearing the 6. I could have gotten away with the 4 but it was very tight at the waste, breathing and eating would have been uncomfortable. Also, the material was on the heavy side but it still was suitable for the June shower. It was classy yet stylish. I'd rent it again!

I wore this to a promotion and awards ceremony for my students. I'm a true 10. The bodice fit but the skirt waist was a little on the small side. The backup 12 bodice was way too big. The 12 also had a stain that was almost noticeable. Looks like someone professionally got rid of the stain but a light yellow ring was left. I got so many compliments and it had pockets!

It was a great dress for an indoor engagement party where I was standing around a lot of the night. I have pretty broad shoulders, so I ended up going with the larger size. Overall, I was very happy with my selection!

This was my annual free birthday rental dress and was only chosen because the selection was meager. That being said, I found this dress to be perfect for the three digit heat here in Oklahoma! It felt very lightweight and the color combination was very chic. It is very tiny though! I fit into the size 0 but after eating dinner and picking at my sorbetto, it was feeling tight in the waist. There was zero give so if you rent, plan to go hungry or size up. And kudos to RTR and its reusable packaging! Love it!

For a size 6 it really clenched my waist too much. Other than that I loved the look for the dress and the material.

The zipper is difficult to pul up and it was a little long on me lengthwise but overall comfortable.

I think I received more compliments on this RTR dress than any other! Highly recommend this dress for anyone feeling self-conscious about their tummy. It elegantly poofs in all the right places to hide any insecurities about your bottom half. It does run small from about the ribcage down, however - I could barely zip it up even after ordering a size up. This dress is phenomenally well-constructed, too. The pictures make it look simple, but it really does stand out.

I wear a 2 or a 4; ordered the 2 but the 4 was not available. Unfortunately, the 2 was too tight in the bust to wear; I couldn't even zip it up. It's a cute dress, though, and I would definitely order again in a 4 or a 6. Definitely on trend and would be very versatile for all kinds of summer occasions.

I absolutely love the fabric! The dress was very comfortable and cut very well! The only complaint I would have it is where the skirt me to the top zipper was very difficult to close. It also was a little smaller than a normal six only at that point. It's a great dress for anyone trying to hide a little hip and is flattering on any bust size. I got a ton of compliments! Well absolutely rent again!

This was a great dress for my rehearsal dinner, which was on the casual side of dressy. It has pockets! Yay! I went with the 0, which was a little tight in the bust, hoping that the somewhat blousy hips would be better contained. I think this is the drawback of the dress for the petite frame, but without hands in the pockets it smooths down into a pretty nice pencil shape. Something to note: the fabric of the crop top is a weird, heavy knit--this almost made me not wear it. This might also make it a spring dress rather than a summer one. The silhouette is a winner though, and I'm glad I tried it out. Metallic shoes are great with this--the skirt is more silver than gold, but both work. I wore it with a gold necklace and balanced it out with gold strappy heels. My regular bra straps would have peeped from under the top, so I wore a strapless. My favorite comment of the night was "You look bridal as f***."

nice fabric, but if you are a pear shape, order a size up! I couldn't even get this zipped and i'm a 4 on top and 6 on bottom every time.

i'm typically btwn a 2 and a 4 for this designer, but could not comfortably wear the 4. perhaps i got a bit bigger, but either way, the waist has no stretch whatsoever so if you have a larger waist size up. the top was comfortable and stretchy. from what i could see the shape wasn't great for my body type. perhaps something with more narrow shoulders would look better?

Super cute dress but was too small thru the rib cage. Also the material appears matte online but has a metallic shimmer to it in reality. Would be perfect for a daytime party.

Gorgeous dress, loved the material, rented for my grad school graduation. Unfortunately, a proper backup size was not available and, while every other dress I have rented from RtR has been the exact same size with a perfect fit, this dress runs an entire size too small. For me, I think the next size up would have been too large. But it is a beautiful dress.

If you have a wide ribcage, you might also find it impossible to zip up! The dress itself is cute and flattering, but had only the fabric been a tad stretchy, it would have been perfect!

I have a small waist with big shoulders and hips- and this ran very small, even at the waist.. In addition, the white was dingy and worn, and the seam at the crop edge of the top was wrinkly- it looked like it needed a good starchy iron. The metallic plaid in the skirt was beautiful, and would have photographed nicely, but I couldnt get over the gray top piece. RTR kindly let me try on a bunch in the georgetown store and I wore a different dress to the event.

This dress is beautiful, and I received tons of compliments at my bridal shower. It was very flattering-- I've been self conscious about my lack of time to workout, but it made my mid section look great. I did have to size up. I'm normally a 4, but like all the other reviews are saying, it's right in the rib cage area. It was perfectly comfortable, though, once I put on my (larger) backup size 6. No issues in the hips- plenty of room if you're a bit bottom heavy. I would rent this again.

Runs small. I usually wear an 8, but needed a 10 to zip past the skirt line. Super comfortable, esp. for a food-filled event. I'm tall, and this dress was the perfect length.

It's gorgeous. It fits well, beautifully cut. Mine unfortunately arrived too crunched/wrinkled to actually wear out, after my Unlimited garment shipping bag had a fight with UPS and I believe UPS won ... but that's not a flaw in the dress, which is truly stunning.

I rented this dress for an AIAA breakfast with aerospace industry retirees. I paired it with a sweater coat and a pair of nude heeled sandals. The 0 fit perfectly, but I couldn't get the zipper over the middle of the dress; so, I wore the 2. The top of the dress is a stretchy material that was really comfortable. The bottom of the dress was more of a brocade fabric. Overall, it was a comfortable dress (that was super reasonable to rent) and it was appropriate for a professional function and lecture. Great rent!

Very appropriate for a graduation but the fabric is very heavy-duty and in the Florida-summer heat, it was quite hot! (reception was outside). The waste is very very small, and I typically size down but sized up for this dress.

I rented this for a derby party. I usually wear size 2 but I could not get it zipped. Went with the bigger size,4. I got very many compliments. Would be great for wedding, baby shower, luncheon or Easter.
