Overall the dress fit amazing, I even felt comfortable in it during the ceremony in 90+ degree weather. I danced the night away and received many kind words about the dress and how it looked! I wore 3 inch heels during the ceremony and was able to kick of my heels during the reception and the dress length was still fine.

In regular dresses I'm a 0 but I know formal dresses usually run small, so I got the size 2R and the 4R and the 2R fit me really well. I didn't even need to try on the 4R but for the sake of this review I did. The only difference that I noticed between the two dress sizes is that the size 4 is bigger on top. I'm a 34A/32B and the lining on the 2R was slightly low/loose so it would slide down a bit because I think it's meant for a taller person or someone with a longer torso. If you're petite but have bigger boobs then it probably won't be a problem. I wore a nude bra so it worked out fine. My waist is 26 in. and the 2R fit perfectly on my waist. The waist of the 4R was slightly bigger but was pretty much the same as the 2R, and there wasn't a significant difference in the arm size either. The dress is pretty long so I suggest wearing high heels. I'm 5' 1.75'' (technically 5'2'' lol) and wore 4 inch heels and the dress still draped on the floor about 2-3 inches. I actually like it draping like that so it was fine, but I did have to raise it up when I walked so I don't step on it or ruin it. My arms are kind of big so I was worried about the arms being too tight, but it was actually fine. The way the sleeves are structured doesn't give you a lot of flexibility to raise your arms up when dancing though, but you can still definitely move a lot in it. Overall, it was true to size, and it was gorgeous! I'm so glad I rented this dress!

The fit was perfect! The sleeves did not feel tight at all and the waist area was quite accommodating. The color was fabulous! I received a lot of compliments throughout the night which was surprising because my dress was pretty demure compared to a lot of others. I did have to wear 3.5-inch heels (I'm 5'4") and even then, the dress still grazed the ground a bit but that was alright because it gave off a kind of princessy feel. Overall, a wonderful dress and magnificent first experience with RTR :)

I read a lot of reviews saying the sleeves and waist was tight, but I did not find this to be the case at all. I am usually a 0, I ordered a 0 and it fit perfectly. The sleeves were not too tight and the waist was perfectly fitted. Even after eating a gigantic meal, I did not find the waist to be too tight. The bottom of the dress is really flowy and beautiful. I am short (5'2") and the dress was dragging on the floor a bit, but not so much that it looked ill-fitted. It is hard to tell in the picture, but the top of the dress is mesh that you can see through with a sort of strapless slip. You can see a tiny bit of cleavage through the lace, but it is very demure and classy. I wore a nude bra and you couldn't see it through the material. Got a lot of compliments on this dress!

I rented this dress for a friends wedding where she had us all wear different dresses in neutral tones. I wore a 2L and it fit perfect up top. If my chest or arms would have been any larger it may have been a little tight (no stretch). The length worked out fine, but I did have to wear 4" heels. If I did it again I would get the 2R so I could have worn more comfortable shoes. All in all, this dress was a GREAT pick! I got so many compliments!!

She is 5'10" and wore it with 3-1/2" heels, and the longer length was perfect. She normally wears a size 2 but we ordered this in a 0L and 2L, and the 0L fit like it was made for her. There were no issues with wrinkling at all, and it required no steaming beforehand. She was able to wear it with a regular (nude) bra, and did not need a slip underneath. It really is a beautiful dress!

I saw this dress online and based on reviews, I removed it from my queue. I went to the store to try on a jumpsuit (disaster.com) and I saw the dress on the rack. However, it was a 4L so I thought it would not fit. I tried on the gown thinking it would be a disaster but it was PERFECT! I felt and looked gorgeous on the day of the event. The lace detail is sexy yet subtle and the color was perfect for my event. I'm usually a 6/8, so I think the dress runs a bit large. Disclaimer: I haven't been dress shopping (or any shopping for that matter) in a while so maybe I lost some weight and just didn't realize I went down a dress size. I would suggest getting your true size and maybe the next size down. This was my first RTR experience and it was great!

I rented this dress for my dates prom. It was very elegant and very comfortable. I got a ton of complements! The only con was that the sleeves were kinda tight so I couldn't raise my arms above my head. I was wearing a size 10L, normally I am an 8. But the only reason I went up a size is because the dress was more flattering in the 10. Lastly, if you are tall I say to get the long instead of the regular. Thank you so much rent the runway(:

Only con is that it was pretty tight on the arms but it was absolutely gorgeous. My boyfriend actually selected it because, and I quote, "I think Emma Watson wore that once." Highly recommend! Got the long and it was a great length.

I loved it! The fit was great, and it was so long and beautiful. I had no cons.

The dress is beautiful, I wore the 6R because the 4R would not zip in the back. It was really unfortunate because the 4R offered more coverage in the front (harder for girls with larger cup sizes to cover up). I felt like I had to keep pulling it up even though it wasn't strapless. The night went perfect and the dress was lovely other that the pulling it up.

The dress was exactly what I wanted. I was looking for something elegant and classic looking. I got so many compliments! The arms and the waist band of the dress were a little tight but still allowed me to dance throughout the night! I loved this dress.

It was my first time renting from RTR and I couldn't be happier! I received a LOT of compliments throughout the night. The color is darker and the detailing is a lot more sophisticated than what is pictured. The length was a little long for me because I am pretty short but with 4.5" heels and some hem tape it was perfect. I would say though that the sleeves and waist didn't allow for a lot of wiggle room but overall it's a very regal and elegant gown. I wish owned it!

I generally fall between a 10-12. Most of the time I'm too busty for dresses, so I was concerned neither dress would fit (either the waist is too big and the chest is fine, or the waist is fine and the chest is too small). I ended up going with the 10R. It was a little tight in the waist, but wasn't comfortable at all. I did wear a thin strapless bra, which may have helped. Anything thicker and it may not have fit. The biggest challenge was the length. I am 5'4" and with 4" heels the dress just hit the floor. I took the advice of previous reviewers and bought shoes a bit taller than I normally would to compensate, and luckily so. Overall, the dress was super comfortable but a bit darker & cooler in color in person than I thought it would be. Probably not tremendously flattering on my hourglass shape, but it went well with the other bride's maids dresses (3 other dresses were also RTR) in a Arizona spring wedding. Overall my RTR experience was amazing. I'd definitely rent from this site again.

I had originally order a different dress but they didn't have it in my size anymore so they sent me four dresses to choose from. I liked this one the best. The only thing I will say is the ribbon is very right around the midsection which made my hips look large. I don't have hips either so that was weird. But overall it was a great experience I use RTR all the time and will continue to use them.

This was not my first choice dress, and took a chance with this one that was only available in one size, 10R. The length is PERFECT! I'm short and my shoes were really uncomfortable so when I slyly took off my shoes, the dress hid the fact that I had gone barefoot. With 3' high heels it was also perfect. It looks beautiful the lace on the top portion looks so beautiful and nice and it has the perfect cinching at the high waist to hide the bigger ladies such as myself. However took two people to get me into it, but it closed. Very tight on my chest, although, I am bigger upstairs, but the lace covers up if it looks a little too risqué. Tight on the arms, but nothing too crazy I was able to dance and move. I loved it very much even though it wasn't my first choice. The workers at RTR were great in helping to make sure I got the best outfit for my night. I am planning on using this site more often, and suggesting it to all my friends.

Tight at the waist and the zipper was difficult.

The sleeves are a little tight because of a short seam in the armpit. Great for women with smaller waists. I would recommend ordering bigger if you are more broad or large chested. I received many compliments of women loving the dress and wanting to rent it themselves. I wore it with heels and flats and the length and lay of the dress worked great with both shoes.

This dress was perfect for the occasion! I wore it to a Mormon wedding and it was modest enough, but also elegant, comfortable, and stylish. My only issues with the dress was that the banding at the arms was a bit snug, and the specific dress I had had a bit of a faulty zipper. But other than that, it was a really great dress that I would definitely recommend- and probably would wear again if I had owned it! ha.

The fit was true to size. I'm taller at 5'7", and the Regular sizes hit just the right spot. I got so many compliments. Honestly had no complaints! I wore this for a sorority formal and paired it with a similar colored necklace.

I attended a black tie event that was work related, but that I wasn't directly staffing. So, needed a little glam but not too over the top. This dress was perfect: elegant, classic, tasteful, not too frilly, with a lovely cutout in the back. Fit perfectly and would highly recommend. I'm about 5'3" and wore a 3-3.5 inch heel. Definitely could not have worn flats or gone much lower without tripping over the hem. The fabric is very absorbant, so be careful as you're getting ready and out of the shower. Dries quickly with a quick blast from a hair dryer if anything goes awry.

I rented this as a bridesmaid dress for a beach wedding in Mexico. It was perfect! We all loved it, and we received so many compliments. It does run small though — especially in the arms and chest — so definitely size up. I'm almost 5' 5" and the Petite was the perfect length with no shoes/sandals. We went barefoot for the ceremony and wore flat sandals for the reception. Definitely a great choice for a bridesmaid dress! We were comfortable wearing it all day and night!

Fit: I can fluctuate between a 10 and a 12 due to my waist to hip proportions and ordered the 12 since a back-up 10 wasn't available. The 12 ended up fitting perfectly and I was hesitant about getting a regular and not a petite since I'm 5'4" and with 3 inch heels the dress was a perfect length. In fact, I'm happy I didn't get the petite or the dress may have been a little too short with my shoes. The only "problem" area was the chest and i say problem because it fit me (36C) but if you do have a larger chest, this may be a little tight. I also have larger arms and while the sleeves weren't loose by any means, they weren't uncomfortable and didn't squeeze my skin. Color: Such a great color and I have blonde hair and moderately pale skin. The contrast between the top and bottom material is beautiful. One note about the bottom fabric - it wrinkles easily so make sure you allow time to steam the dress. Overall: I have never received so many compliments on a dress before and I felt amazing in it. I was sad to have to send it back!

I wore this dress as a bridesmaid dress for a wedding and loved it! It does run a bit small - I'm normally between a 2 and a 4 and the 4 fit like a glove - but it was very comfortable and I think it would flatter almost any body type! I'm 5'8" and had to wear 2 inch heels but it was still a great length. I can't say enough how elegant this dress was; I wish I could have kept it!

I wore this dress to my homecoming and was the best dressed person there! I normally wear a size 2L but there were none available for the dates I needed them, so I ordered the 2R and the 4R. The 2R was too short for me to wear heels with, but still brushed the ground with sandals. I did have to use just a bit of fashion tape on the fabric above my bra (I wore a strapless bra), but I am just a little bit flatter chested. Overall, the dress fit pretty well and I wish I could have kept it longer!

I rented this dress for a black tie event. I wasn't going for a full length dress but I really liked how this dress looked. I like how simple it is lace on top and floaty bottom. The bow at the waist line is very cute. I got a lot of compliments that night. Some people just plainly staring at me. I attracted some event photographers taking pictures of me too. Since the event was for work, I didn't want anything that's too revealing. This dress was perfect. The beige lace looked sexy but conservative. It's most stunning when was walking down the stairs. I am normally a size 0 but it was not available for the days I needed it. so I got 2P. It fit alright except it was a bit too long, for I am 5-4 and I wore 3 inch heels. I had a hard time walking around without tripping. It was very comfortable too.

The dress was perfect for a black tie fall wedding! I ordered the 2 and 4, as I usually wear a 4. I ended up wearing the 4 because the waist band is a little tight and the 4 was most comfortable, so I would say it fits true to size. I definitely recommend this dress for an elegant but effortless look!

Very comfortable fit. I am 5'5" and normally need to order the long in order to wear heels. I ordered the long in this dress, but it was too long even with heels. Other than that, I would definitely order this dress again, very pretty.

I usually wear a size 6 so I had to go up a size, but the 8 fit perfectly (I think it's mostly because I am a fuller bust individual). It is long so if you're average height (i'm 5'5") definitely don't go longer than the regular. Mine had a weird zipper issue so it took a friend a couple tries to get it zipped (it wasn't because I had to squeeze into it). Overall though the color is absolutely gorgeous, it feels so nice to wear and it's fairly light and flowwy. I would get this dress again any time. I really didn't even want to give it back. I wore a necklace but regretted it because the detailing is just exquisite.

Wore this for my sisters wedding. It was beautiful and fit perfectly. Everyone was complementing how flattering it was. Only downfall was how long it was but it wasn't a bother. I just wore 3.5 inch wedges and it worked well. I didn't have any issues with moving my arms around or anything either.

When I rented this gown in January, it was a new addition to Rent the Runway and I'm so thankful for how nicely the sizing worked out. My fiancé and I had scheduled engagement pictures and this dress was truly lovely for the occasion! Comfortable and elegant! I rented the size 0R and the size 2L as backup. And, honestly, both gowns were fantastic. The waist is very fitted so I would certainly advise sizing up if you are debating sizes! Truly a beautiful gown! Thanks, Rent the Runway! :]

It was nice and flowy like I wanted, and the length was perfect for my height, but the bust area was a little too big for me.

I rented somewhat a little late, and could only get 1 size. Quite the gamble...but the 4 worked out great! The band around the waist is tight and has no room for stretching. The 4R hit right at the ground, I wore sandals with it because flats and heels looked silly. I would've probably chosen 4L to wear wedges. So many compliments and felt great wearing it. After the food and drinks of the day/night I was kinda ready to get out of it, but I'm thinking the 6 would've been too loose. Really solid choice and fun to wear.

Wore this to a black tie optional wedding. Based on other reviews I thought it would be long enough on me for me to wear it with 2 inch heels (I'm 5ft 7inches)...however, I was surprised to find myself wishing it was about 2 inches longer (or that I had packed flats to wear with it). I normally wear a size 2, but that size wasn't available, so I ordered a OR and a 4R. I fit into the 0R, but felt more comfortable in the 4R. Probably a 2L or 4L would've been perfect. The skirt portion of the dresses were a little wrinkled when they arrived, but a quick ironing hub took the wrinkles right out. I had them delivered to the hotel I was staying at for a wedding I flew to, and that went smoothly. This was my first RTR, and I will do it again!
