I typically wear a size 2/4 and I wore size 0 for this dress, I feel like if they offered a 00 that would have fit perfectly! The dress ran a little big, but was very comfortable! Definitely recommend this dress .. I would just suggest sizing down!

Runs big, glad I read reviews to get size smaller for backup. I didn't love the open back cape. It wasn't bad but I didn't feel it added much either. Heavy fabric, no fear of the skirt flying up in the wind. Highly recommend!

Super cute and really comfortable

I normally wear either a 4 or 6, felt the 6 was slightly too big and the top seemed to "wing out" a little more so I wore the 4. The top under layer is stretchy so I think it is safe to size down. Cute two piece look with ease of a dress. Skirt is full but I felt the overall look was still slimming. Nice thick, textured fabric. And pockets :)

I LOVED this dress! I wasn't sure if it would make me look frumpy or boring, but I felt super lady-like and fab all day long. The material is stretchy but snug underneath the overlay. I usually run somewhere between a 4 and a 6, and I felt totally comfortable in the 6. Perfect for daytime chic! Would rent again.

One of the first (of many) compliments I received wearing this dress was "simply marvelous." I love that it has a classic style but with a modern take - the crop-like top and back gives it unique flair. I felt covered and appropriate for business but this could definitely fit any fun occasion too. I read other reviews to choose my sizes and so ordered a size down from my regular (I typically wear a 6) and chose the smaller size for my event, which fit spot on. If you're on the fence about choosing this dress, do it. I wish I could keep this in my closet!

While being conservative, this dress also has a sexy edge. Loved the fit and cut. There is a flap in the back that is on the weird side (per my man friend), but overall it was super well received.

I ordered this dress the night before the delivery date for a formal work function. I would normally wear a 2, but by the time I went to order there were only 4's left. Luckily, it worked out and still looked great. It was a little bit big but I don't think it was noticeable. I would say the dress runs true to size, maybe a tiny bit big, so I suggest ordering your normal size and a size smaller. Classic dress!

I had this on my wish list for a while and finally found a reason to wear for a graduation party. Conservative but still fun. I was nervous with the reviews saying it ran big and a 0 was not available for me. The 2 fit pretty well and didn't look over sized luckily. I wish the top poked out a little more as it does on the model. Would definitely rent again... Pockets are always a plus too!

The dress definitely runs at least one size large. I usually wear a size 10 in a dress, and I fit into an 8 easily. I love that the top looks separate from the bottom; it is a fresh take on a work dress. The length was perfect; it was a chilly day so I threw on a pair of patterned black tights and it made the look even better! I like the weight of the fabric; it was amazingly comfortable. I ended up wearing the dress all day, from my dissertation defense in the morning all the way through my celebration party in the evening. Definitely recommend it!!

This dress did run on the larger size. I usually wear a 4 or 6, and the 2 fit great.

On me it still ran a little large in the bodice but not so much so that I couldn't wear it, despite wearing a 2 instead of my usual 4. Otherwise the length was perfect and the dress garnered many compliments.

Flawless cut and design

I actually love this picture of me in the dress, but when wearing it I was pretty meh. I usually like a little-girl style dress and I also usually like androgynous styling but somehow those two elements did not mesh here well for me. A little boxy in the torso, maybe on a curvier figure it would look cuter. The fit was good, a fit and flare style but not super right in the waist, bust, or shoulders. The fabric is very nice, a textured, burn-out checkerboard pattern that makes it more interesting than simply basic black.

I enjoyed wearing this dress. It's cute and comfortable. I didn't realize the pattern was so thick, which made it more dress-y, but it was alright. The sleeves kind of bothered me, they rode up when I sat down. Overall, cute!

I rented the stress through my unlimited account. It does have a very classic design, however it is a bit long for those of you that are shorter. It is true to size and the fabric has a lot of stretch so if you like things to be a little bit more snug you might want to size down.

The bottom is very large. It makes for a comfortable yet flattering outfit!

This dress is quirky and fun. I love that is has pockets! The skirt and top overlay create a slimming effect. My only complaint is that the collar is quite tight.
